I love George Clarke, too. Both Amazing Spaces (there's a new series on CH4 at the mo') and Old House New Home. The Americana series he did was great, too, although it was more about architecture and buildings than interiors. Love a bit of Clarkey 🥰

Why do they all have to hug eachother all the time, I can't imagine going into work and having to hug everyone at the end of the day ughhhhhh (I realise I sound very very old).

And if anyone asked me to give a "whoop whoop", well.....
I'm sure i actually physically pulled back in my chair at one point as there was so much of it going on & I felt so uncomfortable just watching! 🥴😂

I sometimes think of the one who was kicked off first. He was literally about the only one who thought of practicalities and storage.
And yet Emmely got through who put the kitchen so it blocked the whole bloody view 🤦‍♀️
Yeah I didn't think his had anything really wrong with it. Compared to the hideous plastic flowers, the animal patterns, weird paper mache and placement. Poor guy.

I don't like the corporate box weeks in any of the past series... Not folding out much hope for this week. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised!

Argh Craig. Stumbled at the final hurdle. That downstairs space was exactly where his skill at a sort of cosy 50s speakeasy would have been perfect.
I am utterly baffled John has made it this far. Baffled. Not on this week's but generally.
Rita's was good and I loved the concept but I didn't like the idea of a VIP area tbh. Why? In a small comedy club. Seems a bit wanky.
And a bit unfair Craig had two areas over different floors to deal with unlike the others.
But on tonight's Craig had to go sadly.
I think they all had the performance area and a bar area to transform, just configured differently. In terms of floor space I imagine it worked out about even and they all had some challenges to overcome: John had the very tall ceilings and need to keep the link to the history of the building, Rita had very low ceilings and the strange shaped room, Craig had space over 2 levels to unite.

Two of them said "I used AI for this" and nobody really batted much of an eyelid - the royal obsessive for his King and Queen artworks in the castle hotel, and Ajeet with his heron artwork. Alan Carr made some jokes about how he can't be replaced with AI to Ajeet but there was no pushback on it. I know people that seem to bloody love using it with no thought of consequences.
Aaah i missed that. I thought AI had told them how to layout the apartment and suggested zoning and colours and furniture etc. i guess using an image isn't THAT bad and bound to happen.

Final just starting now. C'mon Rita. 🤞
I missed the beginning (the dog was outside vomiting and required an audience) and John's overall idea, but I absolutely love Rita's so far. Real cosy National Trust cottage vibes - which I do love.

Has anybody been to Port Merion? I haven't and it looks lovely but is it really really busy?
