Anna Webb is a dog nutritionist who often appears in the media as a general 'dog expert'. She appears on BBC Radio London every Thursday on the Barking Hour segment of Jo Good's show.

It would be interesting to know if Anna Webb receives any benefit from the companies she promotes on her socials. As she thanks the company below it seems as if it should be marked with #AD. Simply putting "thanks" does not count as a declaration and is not in keeping with ASA guidelines.

HT to @Mustard for flagging this on the Jo Good threads. Both Jo Good and Anna Webb seem to think they are under radar when it comes to transparency.

Zoloubooth with her barely there gifted gifs 🧐 reported her to ASA before
so shady! I also notice that she gets gifted clothes for her daughter, they’re worn once for the gram then she flogs them a few weeks later. Times must be harder than she likes to let on!

Does AD or Partner mean they got paid and Gifted and PR Product means they didn’t?

Dear Jo Good. Your mid-week vlog was an #AD. It does not matter that YOU say it's not sponsored, or that the company owner is a friend, or that it's a favour to your viewers.

Jo Good now uses the excuse that the woman is a friend but she did not declare that when she featured the same company on her BBC radio show.

Why isn’t Dr Ranj being pulled up? His instagram is littered with ads and he works on the BBC but nobody is touching him.
I've never seen this but thanks for flagging. Is he transparent with his ads? Does he clearly disclose if a post is a PAID PROMOTION, or #AD?

Does he give out his Insta handle while he is on air? Even if he doesn't, anyone who lands on his social media accounts could well beliveve he's actually recommending certain things from a medical perspective, instead of because he has commercial agreements with certain companies.

Saw today's vlog. Oh my. MAM becomes more embarrassing with each passing week. The sashaying about on the beach was nauseating. I'd have been interested in the visit to Boots laboratories if we'd heard more of what the speakers had to say and less of MAM.

On the rare occasions that Jo Good actually pays for a product, treatment or service featured on her socials she will proudly and repeatedly say so.

So this post about her new hairstyle and colour at a local salon has all the hallmarks of a freebie and undeclared AD. I don't see her telling us "I'm a paying customer", as she does about one facialist.

Or is she is tagging and hashtagging from the goodness of her heart?

Here to log Jo Good 's weekly shadiness. A freebie facial this time...

Why *not* make use of handy Harley Street hey Jo? Why not lie back and be pampered? Especially when it's a freebie, which is not clear to those who simply click and view.

As usual she's hiding the gifted claim in the description box, which is only visible on some devices, and only when you hit the dropdown arrow.

And Jo, there might have been no obligation to film and post BUT YOU DID FILM AND POST...THAT MAKES IT AN AD, WHETHER YOU ARE PAID IN CASH, OR PRODUCTS/SERVICES.

More Jo Good. She is sent a package for her and her dog. If it was simply a birthday gift she'd show it without name checking the company and might say something to acknowledge it eg "Look at the present I was sent for me and Matilda" .

But instead Jo says she wants to "promote" the company, which she names several times, as they have been so "generous". We all know these are slimy influencer words to avoid admitting that the vlog contains advertising in return for a freebie.

Again no #AD.
As expected, Jo Good aka Middle Aged Minx mentioned Paula's Choice in her weekly vlog today, without declaring it as an #AD. She thinks it's enough to mention that this vlog is not sponsored by the brand but - as she is directing viewers to Paula's Choice ads featuring herself - surely she is advertising them. The fact she was too stupid to get paid for this extra spot is irrelevant, she will benefit with the extra views, so it is advertising. #ASA

Shady ad or begging? There is no reason to make the brand that small if it were the latter. (Edit to add, it’s the tiny @ for the brand at the bottom right hand corner of her hair)

Another week another instance to record of Jo Good not transparently labelling the title of her latest flog. This week: A purple shampoo and conditioner treatment at a posh department store. She took Nadine Baggott along to get a freebie too.

Does the vlog show the You Tube banner declaring 'Contains Paid Promotion'? No.

Does the video title include the word #Ad, as the ASA requires? No.

She mentioned (in the hidden description box) that the hair treatment was a gift but claimed - disingenously - the vlog was not sponsored. However the ASA would not see it this way, they do not differentiate between an influencer being paid a sponsor fee, a commission, or receiving goods or services in return for promoting something.

...again not complying by the ASA. She's promoting an LED face mask but says her vlog is not sponsored.

Being slimy and simply saying it was gifted it not enough. You advertised it, you got paid with goods = IT'S AN ADVERT !!

Further to the above, later in the same vlog Jo Good promotes another brand she has a commercial relationship with, she admitted they paid her in the past but now send her freebies.

The ASA would expect a You Tube video with two blatant promos like this to declare it as an #AD so viewers could decide to watch or not.
