Her columns have got more and more pointless over the years. I don't know if journalism has changed or if I've got older and crankier, but those lifestyle/opinion type columns just seem to have mushroomed and I have to skim over more and more of them to get to the decent bits of the paper. I mean, I have funnier, cleverer and more interesting friends than these dull, out of touch windbags, so why would I bother? Social media has really exposed a lot of them I think - when you think of that brutal but ultimately democratic place, Twitter, you really see how witty and incisive "civilians" can be and wonder at the positions held by certain well connected media people.

To be honest I have always liked India’s style of writing and do think she has talent (although totally agree with JB that she’s made a little go a long way!)

If she had built up some expertise in an area instead of releasing books/writing columns about whatever her concerns have been for the last 5 minutes then it might have suited her slightly bossy style of writing more.

This is what I don’t understand. If he has any regard for the people he Is retweeting then why do it. He isn’t doing them any favours...
i think he is cautiously retweeting because people can’t comment back at him, it would be to the poor sod unsuspecting original tweeter. When he himself tweets I reckon he will get the reception he deserves.

the fact he is choosing to retweet on education is irony at its most gruesome.

Yeh judging by the total lack of backlash most people don’t seem to care 😡
The lack of backlash is really depressing and allows for this to be swept under the carpet. In a very real and morbid way, this guy has ruined people’s lives. And yet, he’s pretty much gotten away with it. With the silence of these blue tick guys, it’s easy for them to ignore and dismiss the comments from folk holding them accountable and asking why they’re being so quiet. I really hope the challenging and accountability hunters don’t go away.

She wrote on the menopause a couple of days ago, unfortunate topic, all things considered!

Surely the powers that be (including her stepfather) have finally seen sense and decided that her moralising over fake grass while harbouring a paedophile is not going down well with the readership...
