I had never heard of India Knight prior to Tattle and I miss the blissful ignorance of being totally unaware of the atrocity of her and criminal Eric Joyce. The total disregard for the sexual crimes committed against babies and children, moving her daughter out so that the convicted paedophile could stay, enabling that foul man to stay out of prison (sadly, sex offenders are too often in the community and not in prison), the nepotism, the arrogance to look that grubby and give beauty advice (I don’t feel anti feminist for insulting her appearance, with all things considered). Tattle opened the Pandora’s Box of horrors and I miss the time where I didn’t know her.

The fact that it's not common knowledge how much of a disgusting person he is is what angers me the most. My mum reads the times and never liked her column because (in her words) how is she giving beauty advice??
But I told her all about her husband, having found out about it here (who it turned out she had heard of, related to her) and his convictions and was horrified and, like me, can't understand why it seems to have been brushed under the carpet. Ditto her defence of him
I’m reading a book by Lyn Barber which is loosely an autobiography interspersed with reprints of her interviews. Just got to a bit where she says India is a friend and I’m not sure I can carry on reading, even though I’ve been enjoying it 
India’s “expert” tips in the Times on how to host guests over Christmas is not going down well in comments below the line. She starts off by saying do NOT make the room like a hotel. Apparently no one wants that. What you might do though is provide freshly laundered sheets! Like a hotel! Someone in the comments replied in a waspish fashion that no one would be keen to spend a night in the Knight/Joyce house these days.

FFS, now Nigella is peddling India's book on Instagram. I'm always shocked at how many people in publishing are so far up India's a. And pushing her as this cosy domestic goddess feels even more unpleasant.

Of course they know. They have managed to convince themselves that India is a victim too and honestly I think she was, she did nothing wrong. However, standing by him at the expense of her own daughter is unbelievable and unforgivable and she can get in the trash along with Joyce at this point.
A lot of people knew. I'll try to find it but she tweeted (before the trial I think) to thank people who had stood by them for TWO years.
It was within these two years she had the temerity to criticise here because of Sali, and also threatened to give Eric our addresses.
She definitely tweeted after he appeared in court and was sentenced (to basically go back home and live with her) saying something like I just want to say I’ve done nothing wrong and I reject the feeling of shame. It was an odd appearance on Twitter as she’d long stopped using it. Needless to say loads of a lickers were straight back to her saying of course she shouldn’t feel ashamed. No one seemed to realise it meant her daughter would not be able to live with her any longer.
Wasn't there some drunk o'clock in the morning tweeting from Eric the n once at one stage too, threatening Tattlers, or maybe just Tweeters?
