I genuinely cannot see how this could possibly be true. I'm pretty sure these girls are just fantasists making up stories.
For this to be true, he would've had to bribe every member of staff involved in visits that day (a decent amount), plus somehow kept every other prisoner quiet who was on a visit. I mean, I'm not naive to the amount of corrupt staff and I'm aware that he was manipulating a young female prison officer, but bribery and deception on this scale is just way beyond a pathetic little scrote like him.

I’m a bit murky on that because I remember JM telling a story to the press about asking IW to DJ at her daughter’s birthday party and him saying he wanted to abuse her daughter. Unless another woman went public with that story and I’ve just confused them in my mind
There’s more chance of Watkins being intimate with a bent screw than him corrupting an entire wing of them to have sex with his visitors
There was a recent two episode documentary about the case on Amazon...or at least, that's where I saw it called The Hunt for Shannon Matthews. Shannon is obviously mentioned, but it's more about Karen, her lies with police, friends and others interviewed and some are in tears talking about how guilty they feel at being duped by her. The friends don't seem to know what happened to Shannon or the other kids as they were placed into care and have new identities, but at the end of the program, it's revealed that the producers were in touch with Shannon throughout making the show.

I'd see those mothers rot with IW, but Peaches barely had the moral highground criticising anyones parenting.
The mothers didn’t SA their children with IW. They SA’d their children FOR IW to keep his attention. One of them in psych reports stated her as high risk of being manipulated to please their future partners again. Now imagine, SA’ing your own baby not for sexual gratification but for ATTENTION from a MAN. A man you don’t even know. Dangerous.
Vanessa George did the same thing, she even had a husband and kids of her own. Met a man online and proceeded to SA and take indecent images of the children she looked after at a nursery to send to him to keep his attention.
It must happen more than we know, but to not have sexual urges to do that to children but still do it, is really something.

I think being a drug addict and being a convicted child sex offender are two different things and are highly incomparable.
Am addict who uses drugs when pregnant and who's infant was left for hours alone in a house with their mother's corpse due is not comparable to a child sex offender; but it was fairly obvious when Peaches was alive that she was, like her mother before, selling other women an image of an ideal mother (see the lies about attachment parenting) that she herself was incapable of living up to.
As well as fixating on other womens failings (see also Katie Hopkins) and an online Instaperfect life to avoid the very real harm she caused her own children.
I mean, what sort of low bar is being better than IW's castoffs? Rose West could probably argue the same. The issue was her tweeting their names endangers those children. But it was very celebrity to focus more on winning points for being righteous.
No different to any other drug addict, esp drug addicted women with children. Have to put on a big false show to the rest of the world to hide what’s really going on behind the scenes - which is what killed her in the end. I was having this conversation the other day how it’s so much harder for women to recover vs men, especially being a ‘functional’ heroin addict, you can’t just stop being a mum to recover, you just keep going until you’re dead. Difference is between her and those women, she wouldn’t have intentionally hurt those children, she was unwell and had no choice but to use. Heroin doesn’t give you a day off I’m afraid.
I think it speaks volumes about male vs female patterns of sex offending, primarily that women very rarely offend. It stands to reason that those that do are driven by factors other than their own sexual gratification.
When you think about it, it kind of falls under a more stereotypically female pattern of doing anything to keep a man, even if that means their own child is harmed or killed - and stories like that hit the news all the time.
The Netflix documentary about the Wests was harrowing. Their relationship had a lot of parallels with Watkins and his girlfriends.
An ex colleague of mine (I also work in forensics) now works managing an organisation treating non-offending paedophiles, so there are places out there helping people before they offend. There’s just not enough of them.

So if the top exchange is true there were questions about IW’s inappropriate sexual behaviour back from 2001 and vis two people in the business. Yet we are still meant to believe that his band who he was until the very end close to knew absolutely nothing?
I refuse to believe they knew nothing. Yes,he distanced himself when he started on the drugs,but even before that he was up to no good. I think they at least suspected it but ust turned a blind eye,because of losing money and fame/lifestyle.
