The band absolutely knew. Sorry but if they didn’t they are thick as pig tit. I will always believe that they turned a blind eye as they didn’t want to part with the fame and money.

I don’t think they knew. They may have thought he was a deviant, and perhaps they knew he liked teenage girls, but I don’t think they had any idea he was a paedophile and a rapist.
If they did know, then they must have realised it was probably going to come out one day. And then their reputation would be ruined, and people would also suspect they were involved. Wouldn’t you report your colleague to the police if you found out they were a rapist paedophile?
I think IW fooled a lot of people, including his family and friends.

Yes all charities with no government funding it seems. I also know of a self made group of them that have not offended before that help and support each other online. But there are so many barriers to accessing support, including public perception - which I do understand but can be damaging at the same time.
No,I agree they obviously didn't know for a fact he was a peadophile,or rapist (well you'd hope so) but surely alarm bells would ring. They should of done a intervention as "friends". I know people who are addicts etc,don't want that or the help,but if they're shunned and kicked out the band it would of been a start at least. Imo they didn't do that, because they were thinking about their own careers and money,which of course is human nature. But.. not when the collateral damage is so high

I'm unsure if I'd report them. I don't want to be that person who is the reason why in cases such as IW / LP, the band splits. But I couldn't keep quiet about something like this

I would question if it’s actually them, I believe she was 15 when they met so it could be a case of grooming? Idk, I’m always a bit suss about stuff like this.
I do think it’s them from what they’ve posted. I’m not sure if she was groomed per se as it seems she only met him once at 15 then started up this relationship several years later but who knows.
But I can’t get my head around their posts and their logic about being involved with him. I find their delusion morbidly fascinating and I just find it so strange that they see it as a flex and she in particular seems almost smug that they had this weird relationship with him and that he picked them (rather than the fact he had no other options). They seem to have had this warped sense that when (if) he’d gotten out they were going to play some sort of happy families. But that is as based on interactions with him in a place where he didn’t have anyone to write to or see really other than them whereas on the outside he would probably drop them because he can get that gratification and adoration from anyone. By most accounts he was charming and charismatic and was able to manipulate and maybe this couple were almost like a game to occupy his time, guess we will never know
I’ve read through a few of their posts and q&as and they’ve mentioned that one of thr other members reconnected with him (probably for his own healing) and I really feel like it isn’t their place to be sharing any of that
