Maybe it takes longer, driving in bare feet like Alan Partridge...
He’ll be in an Oxford Travelodge before long, simply for its convenience and excellent, personal service….
And if you’re particularly kinky, you can have the Porn Channel disabled!!

Just caught up with Iain's first podcast since I haven't had got inter access until now. The podcast was decent, though I feel sorry for Will (I think) his producer. There's to much music though I'm not sure if this is how Jack runs normally, thats my main complaint. Since it's not Iain's music though I'm gonna say its JackFM.

Don't wanna double post so sorry ahead of time. I've caught up with everything as of now. Iain seems to be on the right track I'd say. His producer seems less nervous so thats a good sign.

The only thing that bothers me is his little thing on "wokeness", he always deliberately strawman's things to do with the term. Woke is used to refer to performative acts of "kindness/caring", like Microsoft or Googler with their rainbow colours or any other company. Being performative doesn't make you better than a bigot lol. So if you do genuinely care about people and their issues you wouldn't refer to yourself as "woke" even ironically.

His clumsy take on politics is cringeworthy.
He hasn't the first idea of what he's talking about and relies on that professional Socialist, Jobbie, to get his talking points.

To crowbar his ill infomed take on the world on a music station may be his undoing as he didn't get much of an audience both on Talk or Twitch doing just that.
And only a pitiful 500 or so Patreons.
This is a man who has a very sketchy grasp of current affairs and just banks on making all the right sounds.
He should stick to the fun stuff, which he excelled at, and leave the heavy stuff to the grown-ups.
Can't see him lasting with his "right on" opinions if he continues to piss off the average person who listens to Jack FM.
It's what stopped me from listening.

Anyway he'd best check the demographics as I'm sure Jack FM doesn't cater for a worthy North London audience.

The music is better than his own choice, by a square mile!

The show is better than the twitch stuff by a square mile!

The Boil is not missed…

That's the definition used by bigots/gammons, sure, but not the one it was originally intended to mean or the one used by most people with half a brain, including Iain.

He's always been politically very ignorant. The shows this week have been pretty good overall though, I think. The new producer seems fine and if the news woman stays involved I imagine there might develop a good dynamic between the three of them. A huge breath of fresh air after the last few years with Katherine, who I never actually minded that much but the difference without her is huge (in a good way). I just wish fucking Gatford wouldn't keep phoning up. Does he think people find him entertaining and he's doing the public a service? Even Iain sounds sick to death of him.

I have to agree, Twatford should have a lay in, so should Alistair, so should the Irish idiot who thinks we are all awaiting an update on his personals…. Quite frankly my dear… I don’t give a Sh1t…

Its a breath of fresh air without the dark cloud by his side. She did not look impressed with Iain joking with her that listeners enjoyed her not being there either.
Iain was saying last night though that he feels like he will run out of steam doing 5 mornings per week. He has already been told off for saying d*ckhead on one of this week’s shows.
Gatford really wants to be Iain’s Sidekick Simon doesn’t he?

Careful. You will all be accused of fancying Iain for saying the show is better without the Boil being there!

No wonder she's pissed off.
She left her well paid job and effed up her marriage to be his carer.

Hey, first, sorry for posting myself.Context.

I have had a response from the programme director at JackFM.

I’m not going to post it here because that would be a shi**y thing to do, and at least he responded. I wouldn’t have. It’s not their fault...really

it didn’t put my concerns to bed, but…at least it’s been acknowledge ( without prejudice, of course).

Haven't heard the new show. Won’t . The vibe is it’s going well.

What more can you do….

New caller to TLNA.

IL and KB: What a great person!

One year later, caller disagrees with IK and KB about something.

IK and KB: They are weird...

That must hurt a bit to be fair, but she’s made her bed!

We've all made mistakes but not as calamitous as Kath's.
I take no pleasure in seeing her like that.
Yes she can be a cow sometimes but that's with Iain's influence on her.
She's a mum which is a tough job with little financial or emotional support
And let's face it Iain's isn’t a shoulder to cry on as he is so wrapped up in himself to care.
That's beta male men for ya.

So Iain exploits Kath whose natural instinct, as a woman, is to care for those she loves.

Iain is a selfish narcissist, who as I thought he would do, would willingly cast her aside in his pursuit of fame.
Kath has really no other option but to see and what developes.
I hope she finds something that will be both financially and mentally rewarding.
After working with Iain she needs both of those by the bucketful.

You’re right, he’s an expert in manipulation, it’s quite worrying, therefore; that’s he’s almost a qualified councillor. I’d imagine, his clients would be vulnerable in some way.

to further add, IF Kath and Iain had been married, then they divorced… could she claim she was in a “coercive relationship”?

p.s. Sorry for flirting Pat!!

Oh arr.
I'd forgotten about the counsellor thing.
Much like he has forgotten he's Bi.
This will be a passing fancy or he'll be struck off when his "issues" are apparent for all to see.

I'm just surprised that Iain didn't advocate for his colleague to be his Producer on Jack FM. They were supposed to be a pair, previously, an equally paid duo. Now he's got a radio gig, Kath is a TLNA memory.

Not a chance.
It's one thing to declare your vitues in the press and another to act upon them.

Katherine came on my radar via Iain.

I saw a few twitch streams were she was clearly uncomfortable with Iain’s ‘patter’
I did challenge this once with them, (when he went over and above beyond) … but obvs, that did not go down well. Oh well.

Katherine missed/excused/ went along with … (pick) the fact that Iain put her (effectively) on TV , with twitch. So you could see the natural reactions she couldn’t counter. Not her fault. However, when you do that….it’s there for all to see, unfortunately.

She does enable though, so that’s kinda where she loses my sympathy. Because she knows.
