I'm a psychiatrist. Working between 2 hospitals at the moment. One is an adult hospital and the other is a children's hospital. I earn around 100'000 euro ( I presume around 85000£ ) a year.
I'll go up to at least 130'000 euro by 2021 when I'm more "advanced" ( putting it in simple terms haha). Hence working in 2 hospitals.. I want to ultimately end up a professor and hopefully be the chief medial psychiatrist in my adult hospital.. someday 🙋‍♀️

PA/receptionist £25,000 work full time Monday to Friday. Some days do SFA and make myself look busy  Not sure if this is a good wage, so would like to know about others in similar position.

Pretty decent wage. Although if you’re anything like my PA you are severely underpaid for what you do.
I think it also really depends on where you’re based chinwagger ?. London or elsewhere? If you don’t want to say, are you in a big city or somewhere smaller? There’s a reason the minimum wage is higher in London...

I work as a freelance journalist. At the moment my earnings fluctuate a lot - it’s been a very busy December with the election and such, but January is looking to be much quieter. I usually do an 11/12 hour shift for around £195 a day. The last month or so i was doing 4 or 5 shifts a week which was decent but it can be only 2 or 3. Also worth bearing in mind that amount is before tax (I get taxed PAYE by my company rather than doing my own) and the rate includes ‘holiday’ pay as that’s how they give it to freelancers who don’t get paid for actual holidays.
The more stable role i had in journalism before paid £36,400 before tax.

I am an OT too, what area of practice are you in currently?

I work in case management. More experianced case managers than me can get up to about 50k plus company car, wthout having to manage people. We get things like private medical insurance too. Pension much better in NHS though.

This is so interesting! I was a Sales Negotiator for an estate agent, pay varied but averaged around £1800 a month take home. I have some health issues and had to give up driving, I was lucky enough to go into the admin role at the estate agency I worked for which was £16,500 a year. I have now had to quit because of my health. I’d like to find something i can do part time at home as we are topping up husbands income with savings, but it isn’t sustainable. Don’t want to go down the benefits route until absolutely necessary. If anyone has any suggestions of anything I can do...😂

£29k + car for an operations manager role. I’m in the north but reading this thread... maybe I should be asking for a pay increase!

Around £500 as a private tutor/lollipop lady/MLM hun 😉 my boy is 2, so when he gets his nursery hours at 3 I’ll probably increase everything so I can earn a full time wage. We get topped up from UC. Husband does 30 hours NLW

I’m a school library manager (30 hours per week term time only) and earn £21,000 a year. I could earn over double that if I got a librarian qualification.

On average I earn around £1900 take home a month as a full time qualified nanny. Some months can be more depending on if I do overtime

I would be curious to know how old everyone is and where they are based too
