Notice how Phil let her do all the talking and to make the half-arsed apology? Typical Schofield scum that. Holly the mouse needs to find herself a backbone.

I thought that too, unless itv thought we would be more forgiving if it was Holly not Phil who gave the apology

Well Holly tells us that they would never ever skip a q...so that clears it all up then!

So basically

We were journalists that would never skip a queue and we didn't even stand on the carpet but understand how people might not understand that

So calling other people thick for not understanding they're journalists there on a work event 🙄

This was the statement that Holly read out, see nothing from Philip.

"Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists, we were given official permission to access the hall. It was strictly for the purpose for reporting on the event for millions of people in the UK who haven't been able to visit Westminster in person.
The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back.
In contrast, those paying their respects walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.
None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyones place in the queue and no one filed past The Queen. We, of course respected those rules, however we realised that it may have looked like something else and therefore totally understand of the reaction.
Please note we would never jump a queue."

Same as when Ruth Langsford had apologise on behalf of Schofield for another of his gaffes. The man is deeply unlikable. 😡

They didn't even go on the raised platform for journalists, they went at the bottom right next to the people that queued. And they walked on the carpet after walking next to it.

Yes lots of journalists were given access but they aren't journalists and no one else with a recognisable face did this because they weren't supid enough to see how bad it looks.

Cleverly worded to make it sound like they are in the same league as accredited broadcasters & journalists. They are not they present a light morning tv show. And most of the time are at best mediocre. They had no business there in the capacity of serious journalists ..

Presumably as they're journalists they both are members of Chartered Institute of Journalists?

Just show your membership number then.

So typical of them to sandwich in their non apology within long a video clip then brazen on.

They clearly didn't use the press balcony on the left that was built for the very reason to not let those bypassing the queue get in the way.

Ugh, I really hope this is their downfall, they really believe they didn’t deserve to wait like ‘normal’ people.

I went off the pair of them a while ago, Holly was just on TV so much! Phil too, it was over exposure. Then on Celebrity Juice they both rebelled in their award wins and how drunk they appeared on live TV the next day.

Bet Holly is smoking more cigarettes than usual expect one of her huskiest voices yet!

Thank god they were there with their phones to record a few quick videos in the name of journalism. There's been a total media blackout on the event 🙄

Talk about splitting hairs!

The truth is they never queued up with everyone else! They walked past the coffin and whilst they might not have bowed they both still got to see the coffin and wasn't that all most people wanted to do ?
The fact they are flowering it up with some guff about them being there in a work capacity is shameful!

What did their presence there add to the show or coverage then? They didn’t need to do it at all other than for their own gratification. It not like they could report live from the scene anyway.
