I would have thought she has diarrhoea constantly with all that fruit/veg/smoothies.

And another thing, and I’ve only just come to this conclusion now, but I think Holly almost uses vlogging and her channel to try and substitute actually talking to real people. It’s like her camera is her best friend and it’s sad to see that she’s probably more comfortable talking to an inanimate object and putting it out to the whole internet than actually speaking to family and/or friends in person. Opinions on this?
That's so sad but you've hit the nail on the head. I really do hope she outgrows this. I went through my own shut at the end of my teenage years and early 20s when I really didn't have any friends and I was u so used to it and fine being alone it never bothered me.

Then cue this boy at work who I thought I liked so I made an effort to hang out with him, get drinks after work etc and low and behold I'm now in a long term relationship (with that boy) AND have an amazing friendship group. So I see a lot of myself in Holly and I hope that one day she can have the same sort of growth and slow realisation that I did. I think it will be close to impossible if she's living at home though. It took me 5 years if living alone (and my home life was fine) to get to that initial point.

Just looked at her insta as I'm bored, surely it is impossible that UCL leave acceptances until this late?
I would be very surprised if she got an offer for this academic year if I'm honest, as it's so late and the course was obviously very popular. I'm surprised that she's not being more proactive about chasing it up, but then she's mostly at fault for leaving applying to the last possible minute.

If she gets an offer for 2021, she'll probably just carry on tutoring and potentially change her mind a couple more times.

this post is from a few pages ago, i don't remember if there's a specific video about holly talking about alternative medicine (please, post it if you find it!) but i think that's why she was rejected for medicine at cambridge (along with the fact that she has no other hobbies, interests, voluntary work or work experience that boosted her application)
she believes that veganism and yoga can cure most illnesses and that's a very problematic point of view for a doctor...one can see that she preaches that veganism is what cured her (still on-going) ED, so i'm curious about what will she pursue with her master in oncology, holistic remedies for cancer and stuff like that? will she be taken seriously by her colleagues at UCL?

EDIT: i found in her own website that she defines herself as "lover of all things holistic health and fitness"

Found it! She talks about wanting to go into holistic medicine at 10:51 (also note the comments telling her not to waste a medicine degree spot if she's not going to be an actual doctor)

Feels like she's hopping from career to career, and the only thing in common is they'll give her qualifications to try and defend her problematic traits? (Bar teaching of course, but I wouldn't want her swaying the minds of teenagers)

Her faux Australian accent pisses me off, I lived there for 4/5 years when I was younger and sometimes have a bit of a twang but less than her
she barley socialised during her trip and that what she did due was mostly with non-Australian natives anyway so who knows wear this accent has come from

THIS ! Her privilege is showing
I agree. The whole video just had me questioning HOW she would actually make a difference without just taking money off those who will be working for her. She’ll have to do that if she wants enough money to be able to kickstart something as massive as accessible tutoring.

I think it’s silly she thinks that way, because from her current pricing at £40 an hour, it doesn’t really give out the impression she wants to make it accessible at all. It seems more like a response to sites like this who are shocked Holly thinks she has the right to charge that much in the first place.

Oh man I don't know how everyone else feels but I am so bored by her content atm. Two videos in as many days about getting up early and labelling it as productive (I haven't actually watched them). Hun, you are awake for the same hours of the day if you sleep between 9pm-5am or midnight-8am, getting up early does not mean you are productive.
It’s just a fashion isn’t it? This thing of waking up early, as if it makes a difference. My cat wakes me up at 5, I’m not bragging about it making me productive

I'm doing a PhD in chemistry I know what it means 😂

I know that gut health isn't pseudoscience, a lot of important and scientifically sound research has been carried out into this subject. However it does seem to be co-opted by people online, as xekatinaz said, who seem to think that any and all ailment can be realted back to gut health (and probably be cured by an alkaline, vegan diet ). And I fear that Holly may have been swept along in this belief, therefore her reasons for persuing this line of research are a little dubious to me
I'd hope that any good supervisor would shoot any pseudoscience down when she proposed a project for research. She's applied to some pretty reputable unis that I would imagine don't want to put their names behind any research that'll make them look bad.

I guess complaining is the go to thing to do for most people so they feel like they fit in. Holly is clearly very able and very clever on the academic front, but she’s clearly trying to play it down (but also coming across as very entitled at the same time- constantly expecting a response etc).

And it’s just going to be the same content!!! I want to see Holly mature and grow. I don’t want to see her fall back into Cambridge routines and constant ‘productivity’ without seeing anyone. I want to see her make friends, chat to people, watch films, chill out on her bed on her phone, go outdoors for reasons other than running (because that’s productive too.....). She needs to redefine productivity for herself this year. She needs to really think about how she will cope in the real world if all she seems to do is isolate herself and work!!!

Also not been watching but I think I saw her on Instagram say that she's filming an updates video which will presumably cover it?
I wonder whether she actually wants to do an MA or she just doesn't know what else to do with herself... She's flip-flopped so much

When she was applying for post-grad medicine, I remember her saying her goals were not actually to become an NHS doctor but to become some sort of alternative doctor where she can use veganism/whole foods to cure people . I have a feeling this is what she will want to do if she becomes a registered nutritonist. No way will she be working for the NHS. She will probably try to be self employed like she is with her tutoring. Giving meal plans and nutritional advice over Skype/Zoom and charging extortionate prices.
I get that following a whole foods diet can have medicinal benefits, especially for those with diseases that are caused by poor diet. But this information is common knowledge that can be found for free with a quick Google search. She will be robbing these vulnerable people of their money.

I seen the latest vlog, how boring! Worried about the reputation of the University? I'd be more worried about doing an MSc in nutrition when you have an eating disorder...

Also I can't believe she had over 600 applicants for her tutoring! She is going to have to have an absolutely horrendous job going through them all manually, I'm sure places that have that many applicants automate a large part of the hiring process. Wonder if she'll get her fam reading x applications per day. I really worry that she dove head first into this project with little forethought

Why is she making such a massive fuss of her hair cut? It looks perfectly fine. Absolutely no need for such tortured self-analysis about cutting your own damn hair!
It takes a special sort of person to see cutting their own hair as an opportunity to write a small essay about taking risks

I just feel like Holly is doing a master's just for the sake of doing one.

She doesn't seem very passionate about the subject at all really.

Didn't she want to do medicine at one point?

It’s also the fact she not only does those runs, but also does workouts in her room ontop of that. Even on her rest days she’ll do a ‘light workout’. She just can’t help herself. She can’t stop herself from being busy. She literally can’t even spend 15 mins ‘in her own head’ because (as she said) she ‘doesn’t like what goes on up there’..... hello??? Red flags?!!?
Plus she's just starting out running. Most people who run that volume/consecutive days slowly make their way up to it.

woah i know some people are naturally flat chested but she is like a 7 year old there is no way she has ever gone through puberty she has no womanly features, she needs a hormone test asap ! I think she needs to use her £43 per hour income and book a place in some private rehab centre
As someone who has a medical issue that caused me not to go through puberty and the mental strife I went through because of it this is something that I'm sensitive to. We most likely know the cause of Holly's appearance but because of the sheer hell I went through I generally think commenting on someone's appearance in this way isn't constructive?
