Imagine the whole YouTube thing doesn't work out and she has to go out and get a real job. A quick Google and a potential employer sees that - they'd never hire her!
Am sure mummy and daddy would pay for her lifestyle if she didn't have a job at all. She doesn't need to work at all

My goodness, just saw a pic of Emily and her bf. Emily's boyfriend looks like a mix between her and her brother. I don't like this.

I agree with this, I think it's probably just dormant hormones that have woken up 10 years later than the majority of females

It's more confusing because her content is beyond muddled right now. It's difficult to think of two branches of YouTube more contrasting than Studytube and productivity than sex positivity. Maybe she's experimenting and that's fine, but just picturing Ruby Granger twirling in the mirror in a thong and you know you'd never see that in a million years.

Good on her if she's confident enough to do that, but I don't know if she's forcing it too much to show everyone how much she's "grown". Showing yourself in pretty revealing underwear when you've got a big platform is bold for most, let alone Holly.

"Embracing your femininity" what the fuck is that even supposed to mean. That coupled with addressing her audience as "ladies" feels like a completely different type of influencer, like that doesn't feel like Holly at all sh. Also I do not want or need lessons in "being more feminine" or whatever gendered bullshit from Holly of all people, that's not why I subscribed to her channel back in the day. And I doubt that's what most people want or need from her.

Also, "accepting that my food babies are normal" is probably meant to sound all empowering and encouraging but I feel like watching a video of Holly's slim, toned body and then reading about her supposedly struggling with 'food babies' is probably not gonna do a world of good to anyone who is/has been dealing with body-images issues themselves. Which, you know, probably makes up a decent percentage of her followers seeing how she's been posting about her ED recovery ("recovery") a lot.

I don't know that ethical porn website so I can't rightly criticize that. I'll say though, I was v convinced this was sponsored by an underwear company but apparently Holly just decided to go with it? Nothing wrong with showing yourself in underwear on the internet, but I do wonder if that was like, sth the sponsor asked for or sth she wanted to do herself or what was up with that - especially since Holly's 5 Femininity Tips (barf) don't even deal with underwear so it's like?

Also the actual 5 tips just rub me the wrong way - 1) says "body fluctuations are normal" which yes, duh, they are, but that doesn't only apply to women does it? Men's bodies can change and fluctuate too. Men can get bloated too. What does being bloated sometimes have to do with femininity? And also, Holly twisting in front of the mirror to make it look like her belly is sticking out and then captioning that with "it's temporary!" does not, exactly, feel empowered or empowering at all.

2) "Learn about your body to feel educated" - ok this one actually makes sense, I'll give her that. But again, why is that a sign of "femininity"? Does reading up on menstrual cycles mean "embracing femininity"? But the tip itself is okay.

3) "You fit your clothes they don't fit you" - coupled with footage of Holly that just gives me bodychecking vibes, I'm sorry. I guess this is her recycling her ED recovery advice? So does this mean that if I'm okay with my clothing size that makes me more feminine, whereas if I want to gain or lose weight I am somehow lacking in femininity then. Are female ED sufferers less feminine due to their suffering. Am I overthinking this? Yes. Does it make me a bit angry? Also yes.

4) "Your emotions are valid" - ok that one's true, no complaints here. My only question is why this is paired with footage of a bowl of oats when literally noone is talking about food or diet choices in the video. Are oats an emotion now? All oats are valid? When you have a feeling, go eat some oats?

5) "Female self-pleasure is there to be enjoyed" - I guess this is Holly encouraging her audience that masturbating is okay? Which of course, it is!! I just don't fully understand how me rubbing one out is making me more feminine but okay. I guess this one also ties in with the sponsor.

(I'm sorry for the long and probably over-angry rant. It's just that as someone who has/had struggles with societal expectations of performing femininity being thrown at me, and body image stuff and all that, this video just really really rubbed me the wrong way. Like don't even get me started on how this is absolutely not inclusive of different gender identities etc - even for me as a cis woman person, i.e. the presumed target audience here, this was so grating to watch. Idk. It all just felt so weirdly preachy and smug to me)

It was not so long ago that Hollie didn’t know where to put her menstrual cup. Despite having done biology a-level, degree and MSc.

“Ladies” is akin to girlies and just gives me the ick. And all her body comments are conforming to the thin ideal body and not really in line with body acceptance. And I’m sorry but her lying on her bed with her peach exposed to the full is just….odd.

I cannot even believe Angelo’s rabbit… what the actual f**k, that’s not even suitable for a hamster. There’s no bedding, no hay, I’m genuinely in shock

What a strange thing to say to someone you’ve met on a dating app - It’s almost a bit insulting. If I was Angelo, I’d have run a mile at that point alone lol
My husband and I are both introverts and met on an app. We enjoy being social with each other just not the general public it turns out. Been together years now

Can someone post the picture/clip of Angelo's rabbit?
But with a spoiler so people don't have to see it because I definitely don't have the mental headspace to be sad about an animal that I have absolutely no ability to help.

Tbh given how they treat their dogs I'm not surprised that the performative vegan who creates tons of waste/ carbon footprint from what they eat is okay with it

But apparently it’s ok because “he does get to go in the garden sometimes and it’s not actually Angelo’s rabbit, it’s his mums”.

No, it is animal cruelty. That poor rabbit is existing, not living. No stimulation, no hay, just pellets to eat, stuck in a tiny cell. There is no way I would stand by and not take action, regardless of whose rabbit it is. That rabbit is neglected. And could be in all kinds of pain. I’m a decades long vegan primarily for the animals but even if these two are just about the health (because clearly it’s not about the planet for Holly), then I still don’t understand how they can not see how awful the situation is AND take action. Neglect is neglect.

Their veganism is very clearly just about food.
I don’t know how Holly could see that rabbit, not think it was atrocious and then proceed to share it online for thousands of other people to judge.

but then again, we’ve seen the disgusting room Bali and Java are locked in all day so maybe it’s not that surprising

Whoa and Holly "I am Vegan for the animals, I love animals so much you guys" saw this and didn't say anything against it? Blows my mind. I know, I know, love makes blind and all that, but really??

Tbh I'm getting the impression that Holly would never criticize Angelo, or maybe she does not know how to handle disagreement and serious discussions in a relationship but uh. It's not good in any case

Then again Holly's mom insists on keeping their dogs in confinement too and Holly has never criticized that afaik so maybe she just thinks it's normal

Jesus, that's the size of a box you take your rabbit to the vet in, not a hutch. If they've got a whole garden, they could afford a proper hutch.

That is monstroussss wtf. At the VERY least they’re supposed to be on mesh lifted above a tray so they’re not just sitting in their own filth?!? That is appalling. Now she’ll just never show it again but not change anything.

Someone in the comments is also calling her out for her stupid voices, saying one of them is imitating Jamaican people and they find it offensive. I think the tide is turning on her.
