I find it bizarre, don't get me wrong, I love the whole instagram thing but how can anyone aspire to be an influencer? What contribution is made to society..oh I encourage people to buy things they don't need. I know that is what advertising agencies do but there's a layer of separation

Well I think there is some serious money from partnerships and collaborations with big brands with money to born. I mean when everyone saw all these youtubers making money while having the time of their lives... then everyone wanted to be a youtuber. And I guess an influencer is in that domain.

And to be fair.. there is scope for influencers to make a difference. Just a lot of them don’t because it’s easy to do nothing!

BTW I’m super curious as to who you are cause I know you’ve mentioned you’re a London blogger.

If it took her 2 years to save £500 then she’s not doing as well as she thinks she is. I don’t think that comes across as boasting. It means she’s been able to save £20 a month which is hardly a boast.

I had to unfollow. I think she’s harmless but her facial expressions make me cringe so hard. And her make up tutorials are PAINFUL she smothers her whole face in concealer and block colours her eyebrows. I can’t cope with it anymore

I'm glad someone mentioned her make-up, her eyebrows always look awful and I've seen her say before that she cakes her foundation on which doesn't sound or look appealing at all It winds me up that she gets all these gifted make-up products when she hasn't got the skills to apply them.

I agree with everything you said! I‘ve witnessed her BEG for new followers many times. I’ve followed Jordan for a very long time, since before she even met Tom. As she’s grown on Instagram, she clearly got caught up in the number of followers and chased more followers like a drug.

I too think she has zero influence. If I had to theorize why, it would be because her feed is all about selling a fairytale aesthetic that’s not real. So when it comes to real sale conversions, they just don’t happen.

Her stories are also SO different. She clearly mopes at home a lot and battles depression. I think that’s definitely relatable but as far as branding goes - is very confusing. And don’t even get me started on all the animal crossing content she’s shared. Are you twelve???

yes!! Even before the country went into lockdown she was always at home doing nothing, she only ever left the house to take photos. I honestly feel like her personality is pretty dull and she doesn’t have followers for it, she has followers for her pretty aesthetic. It’s probably why her vlogs were a flop and why nobody tuned in, she just doesn’t have the personality for it. Or the determination either? Seems like if she doesn’t grow on something rapidly thanks to her IG following she just gives up on it straight away.

she’s definitely got an addiction to Instagram and I’m surprised nobody has called her out on it in her real life friendships and relationships. She seems to have a very unhealthy relationship with the app.

Going back to the “I didn’t ask for these followers” comment, I think this is something bloggers say nowadays that is a major eyeroll. When the likes of Zoella said it in the past it was believable because social media influencers didn’t really exist back then, but nowadays it’s just like, of course you wanted this? Esp since we’ve established she has begged for followers...

I follow her and I have been for awhile. I used to absolutely love her but lately I feel like she’s changed a lot. Some things I’ve noticed..

- she used to hang out with a girl called Monica (I think Monica Barbosa on Instagram). They went to Dubai a few years ago but she stopped hanging out with her all of a sudden when she got newer Instagram friends. I think her friend Alexandratealeaf has completely replaced her friend Adriana with her.
- she and Alex did the exact same Disney blogger shoutouts for a few weeks. Came across as very disingenuous imo.
- I see her comments on other people’s photos and it’s so clear that she doesn’t read their captions. It’s always a comment like “pretty” or something like that. But she has the audacity to complain about people not reading her status where she discloses that she hasn’t trampled on flowers in the flower fields .

I really like her photos though.

In a way tattlelife like Instagram is a way for people to express their opinions on things. I do think that some of the influencer world views opposing opinions as hateful. A lot of the people I encounter on tattle generally are just sick of bullshit from youtubers etc.

I'm with you both there, Jordan would be at well over 100k if she wasn't how she is.her recent jarring behaviour is why she has had so many unfollow. If influencers took what is read on-board then there wouldn't be tattle.i find that I have changed how I instagram based on what I've read on here, what pisses people off and what people hate. Yeah it'smy page my way but I don't want to be a dick

There’s no need to! All sizes should be equally labeled as princess picks and mixed them together. By not doing so she’s lumping the larger women into a separate category and trying to make a grand gesture of it like she’s soooooo inclusive.

Again, classic mean girl behavior. The whole point of inclusiveness is to not segregate people based off their skin tone, ethnicity, body size, ability, etc.
