A few months ago we saw videos about Chuck's failing health and press articles about his cancer treatment. At one stage Wootton implied that Chuck was on his last legs, other videos discussed his health. There were articles about how regal the Waleses were, ready to take the throne, William setting out his vision for a slimmed-down pageantry-reduced reformed monarchy. Things would be different when he was in control. Also articles about tensions between KC and W over Harry, angry arguments and William incandescent that his father was rolling out the red carpet for Harry.
Chuck slapped the Waleses down, and let it be known that he and Cam weren't going anywhere. His cancer treatment was working, the throne was his and if he wanted to welcome his other son back he would. I wonder if Chuck became annoyed at W pushing for Harry's banishment? Not wishing his father ill, but prematurely talking about being king?
William feels that Harry is "overshadowing the good work the royals do", but the press could report much less than they do if ordered by Chuck, and at the moment it's all about W raging and the Stoats encroaching. Not a good look, and imo W should stop fuming, show he's on the side of the people and let the Stoat come back to do his charity work. There's nothing W can do about the Flatpacks, and their purpose has been more or less achieved so won't affect William.
I wonder if Chuck is also using Harry to keep W in his place, on the back foot and under threat? The anti-Wales briefings? If so, it's working, but it shouldn't be because W should be valid in his own right as the Heir instead of obsessing about Harry. Isn't being the billionaire Heir enough?
I don't know who William is or what he stands for, whether he or Catherine believe in God or what they do all day. His hobbies of Systemic Homelessness and climate change are not enough. It's becoming less clear by the day what type of king and queen they will make, and they've had plenty of time - illnesses regardless.
