Stinging swipe?
Claims?
And it bloody is 'unofficial'.
FFS, Express, it's the British High Commissioner clarifying that the Harkles are not representing the UK.
The British High Commissioner said the Sussexes will not be representing the UK in Abuja during their 72-hour tour which will see them promote the Invictus Games.

The British High Commissioner said....
"
But they are visiting in a private capacity, not an official one. So, the British High Commission is not involved in arranging or facilitating their programme. They are not representing the work of His Majesty's Government on this visit."
Carefully worded. Nobody has suggested they are representing "the work of the UK Government", have they? What work? Palm oil?
And that's not where the problem is, which is that they look as though they're representing the Monarchy on a "royal" tour, not Rishi Sunak.
When royals go on tour they are representing the Monarchy. If it's trade or government matters they send ministers or officials. I don't think they blur the lines but could be wrong.
Of course instead of this impotent squeak we should have had an unequivocal statement from Chuck that
the Sussexes do not represent the Monarchy.
Not got his man to say they "don't represent the government".
Of course the Sussexes don't represent the UK Government. They really think we are stupid.
Weasels all.
