I disagree a bit. I think the monarchy will be vulnerable when the queen dies. The transition is going to have to be very carefully handled. Also, I think to ensure the monarchy survives Charles should step aside and William should take the throne. I'm not against Charles but many are, and a 70 + year old king taking the throne may not go down well in a society that many want progressive and not the old guard. Also the cost of a coronation etc is huge, have one for Charles and another for William likely within 10 and 20 years won't go down well. I just think for a smoother transition and long term security William taking the throne would draw a line under the past and a younger king would be more relatable to the masses.
Scotland could go either way, but it has to be their choice. I do find it odd though that they want freedom from UK but them immediately join another union in the EU
