Patrick moved to tears over a garment of the week that wasn't even the right winner is an ick.
I agree - when I had seen the previews with Patrick saying it was one of the best things he'd seen on Bee, I presumed it was the bag outfit as that was stunning. Ah well!I’m amazed that won garment of the week. It hadn’t been hemmed even though it was beautifully sewn everywhere else. Not sure it warranted tears. I thought the blue outfit with the circular sleeves was brilliant. It fitted beautifully and looked so good.
The bag outfit was phenomenal!!! I was so surprised that won - no hemming and he had previously pulled up someone for not hemmingI agree - when I had seen the previews with Patrick saying it was one of the best things he'd seen on Bee, I presumed it was the bag outfit as that was stunning. Ah well!
It was wierd they didn't even mention the lack of hemming. I mean I presume they did but it was cut.The bag outfit was phenomenal!!! I was so surprised that won - no hemming and he had previously pulled up someone for not hemming
It really is, those beautiful festival outfits! They've learnt from the Bake Off Mexican week some years ago that you can have a themed week and be respectful of other cultures, I really liked the chat between Sophie and Erika about the different tops. The folk tops with the woven fabric were wonderful too, I'd happily make and wear one, how fun to pick ribbons for them.Mexican fashion is just gorgeous![]()
What always annoys me about reduce and reuse week is that most of the things made will never be worn. Who's wanting to walk around in a fishing net??I believe the unhemmed edge was a deliberate part of the design, raw edges are often used in fashion, however they could have taken a moment to explain this.
The beige linen suit was excellently made but showed a complete lack of creativity and imagination - so bland, so dull, so boring.
The bag for life was excellently executed however it didn't quite have the conceptual depth of the winning outfit. I really like Beth she is very talented, interested to see what she makes next.
The sea dress with fishing net and rubbish was fun but was more pantomime.
The other sea dress was so underwhelming and lacked any sense of drama or concept.
The grow your own vegetable skirt and corset was an organic abomination - it looked half finished and didn't work on that model at all.
I can't even remember any of the other outfits...
I'm bloody sick of the giant bows stuck on everything to try and give Esme a boner.
I'm still at a loss as to why Patrick cried? Maybe he was just bored to tears by the lacklustre editing![]()
Exactly, they include it so as to tick the box for the environment, but actually it’s repurposing unused junk into more unusable junk is weak greenwashing.I’ve long wished reduce and reuse was binned off. Items seldom look wearable.
The worst was last year (I think) when they cut up the most beautiful long red velvet theatre curtainsI’ve long wished reduce and reuse was binned off. Items seldom look wearable.
Lewis always seemed quite grumpy. I mean there's no law that says you have to be perky all the time but sometimes when Sophie was talking to him he was visibly irritated.I've finally caught up on the Mexican episode, so glad that dull Lewis has finally gone, that unfinished karate outfit was shocking.
I thought the outfit of the week was a good choice as it very successfully showed a contemporary take on a classic design, it was understated not covered with ribbons and so whilst it was busy it was also very wearable.
Tim needs to rein in with the fringing and feathers, he's not making outfits for Cher and often cheapens the final piece.
Rebecca's looked like a mexican outfit from Temu, ghastly cheap fabrics and she is also so irritatingly desperate to be teacher's pet.
Adele surprised me with her final outfit, it was very well done and looked like something you might see in Zara.
Normally I love what Anna makes but her final dress looked like a slutty gymnast costume. It wasn't good.
Beth is really growing on me, I also liked what Minnie made this episode.
Whyyyy did no one pick Day of the Dead for their concept? So many great possibilities were missed there!
Let's hope Patrick has recovered from his cold in the next episode and he hasn't given it to everyone else!![]()
