I really liked that they had to fit to themselves for the made to measure - is this the first time they've done this?

Yes really interesting and brave for the lady who made the swimsuit, what if it had gone wrong! I would like it if they talked a bit more about the process or had a little section on some basic ideas to get a better fit. Maybe drop some of the “comedy” sketches.

I enjoyed the first episode, they all seem like nice people.
My only gripe, and it was my fault for watching it, was the preview at the start. It was a preview of the series and they showed too much for my liking. One Bee was talking to a child. Children's week is usually a few weeks in isn't it so we now know that this particular Bee gets that far.🫣

I'm not warming to the new presenter - but at least she's not Sara Pascoe :ROFLMAO:

Bless Esme, she's so lovely, I hope she's ok, she looks frailer than last series.

Nobody stood out as being annoying, thank goodness. It's unusual for the Beeb not to have an *ahem* alternative contestant.

I have just finished watching and I do like Sophie Willan who is presenting it, she is not annoying me but I have liked her in other things.
They all seem like nice people, no show offs for a change.
Beth, Anna and the opera lady who won garment of the week are my top 3 (at the moment) but Heather looks like she will be there at the end.
The clothes Anna was wearing in her intro were fabulous.
The trousers and shirt from the ginger guy were a surprise at the end, I thought he was dead cert for the chop this week.
PS - Esme's necklace is just over £4 on Temu (I bought a couple of weeks ago)

I’ll probably not catch the first episode until tomorrow but I’m greatly pleased that it sounds that the contestants won’t grind my gears as much as a few did in the past.

how long my optimism will last… well…

I'd be shocked if Esme wore anything from Temu! A lot of her necklaces are designed by her sister. It is more likely that Temu copied one of her designs. Could just be similar either!

I remember the one she made from old hand sanitizer bottles and the metal clips from rucksacks, it was brilliant. I have compared hers with mine and they are the same so she is a cheap skate like me or somebody has copied it like you say.

Right person went, can’t believe swimming costume lady mucked up her buttons/button holes

I really loved Beth's patchwork made to measure dress it was beautiful.

Outfit of the week looked more like St. Patrick's day attire, not sure it was worthy of the title.

The green dress and waistcoat was pure pantomime costume, down to the fabric choices and construction.

The contestants seem very lacklustre this year, normally they pick some real characters/people with a bit more creative flair, but this year so many are forgettable. Even Esme seems bored of them.

Raiding my wardrobe for a purple and brown combo so I too can resemble a bar of Dairy Milk 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Lovely as ever - although also ever irritated that so much of their criticism is driven by their own tastes. Love Sophie, genuinely warm and off the cuff funny.

The patchwork dress should have won garment of the week. Thought the winning garment had similar colours to what they criticised in Sam's.

The shepherdess dress was beautiful but it definitely wasn't hemmed and the judges didn't even mention that.
Wierd.

I assumed the raw edge was part of the look/ vibe.

Patrick’s nose was well blocked wasn’t it.
