Recently found her but I really like her - she seems more intelligent than your average YouTuber for sure and her videos are interesting. Hope she continues to grow her channel. So refreshing to see a YTer not plastered in make up, false nails and plumped up lips too 😏

I think there are some immature aspects of her personality, but she can also do plenty of things for herself unlike many late teens/early 20s and seems to be making good money from her channel and whatever she does at the church/babysitting on the side. I think a lot of it does stem from still living with her parents and being the youngest child, probably a bit coddled growing up. No shame to her for still living with her family though prices in their area are high and her parents home is very nice and her siblings didn't move out until they were older either. I think this whole lockdown has regressed her a bit tbh, she had all these plans she wasn't able to do, maybe if it weren't for that she would have gotten to travel and mature some and definitely get outside her comfort zone.
yeah I agree, if I was her I would def still be living at home and saving to buy somewhere rather than wasting money on rent, I lived abroad for years after uni, but when I moved back at 27 ish I lived at home for about 5 years to help me save.
I also think if you compare her to, say, Clickfor Taz (who in some ways seems immature in the way that Grace is), she can barely even cook or do anything practical, so compared to her Grace is MUCH more mature (and I think much younger?)

I don't feel like she's been uploading less or has done an excessive amount of ads. She's only done about 3 and they've been companies that she would usually talk about for no money anyway. Its not like she's promoting a makeup range when she never wears makeup.
Agreed, I’m always happy to see her doing ads. They’re always targeted to her brand and they’re things that I’d be open to buying too.

Not necessarily a 'rave' topic but did anyone else clock Grace and Honor sat next to each other sharing food yesterday? It was on Grace's stories, they were sharing a bench and the gap between them was only big enough to fit the bag of chic-fil-a they were eating together.

I really like Grackle's vlogs - they're easy viewing. I do find her a bit intense and naive, but that's just her personality I suppose.

One major bugbear I have is that she doesn't appear to be that great of a baker? She's got a degree in the subject but doesn't seem to have basic knowledge of how certain ingredients work with each other, she always relies on other people's recipes and very rarely comes up with innovative ideas of her own... I don't get what her degree entailed at all because I can't see what makes her stand out from your average person following a recipe.

I genuinely cannot see why anyone would want to criticise Grace. She’s without a doubt one of the most genuine you tuber’s out there. She’s humble, natural and so endearing.

Watching her latest video made me almost tear up when she felt the need to explain the Chloe / Jessie situation.

There are not many gems in this world but Grace sure is one of them.
Because she's still a person who is on the internet and makes mistakes. I think it's 100% fair to call her out when she does something wrong or question her decisions. Some people think Zoella is 100% genuine/a gem.

In regards to lower case ad vs AD she should be criticized since others are called out for the same exact thing.

I wonder if YouTube is her 'job' now that she's at 300k?
I’m pretty sure it has been since she finished uni early last summer. In fact at some point she made a reference to trying to roughly keep 9-5 hours and how many ideas and videos she was producing as a result. She said it like it might be a bad thing and she was overloading us, but I love how it’s shown up practically every other creator who moans about the workload to make one video a week “you don’t understand how much you don’t see guys.” I don’t even know how many grace uploads across both channels, maybe 3 or 4 a week ? The fact I don’t even know is another great thing about her, she doesn’t make a huge deal about how much (“free” as they always say) content she puts out like we should all be 1. Impressed 2.grateful 3. Understanding when they take their 15th “social media break” of the year or start selling £30 t shirts...

We are so lucky to have Grack. I wonder if she will ever do merch or brand deals ... she must have been approached by now.

I find her mum quite a cold person
I think she just hasn't chosen a career in YouTube and is fairly shy in front of the camera.

I really can't imagine their family dynamic to be as close as it is if she was truly a cold person.

I think her sister is her mums daughter through and through. Grace is her father's daughter. Jesse is a mixture of the two.

That's my take on them anyway.

Yes I love how resourceful she is, always cooking things from scratch (and of course baking) and eager to try new things. But at the same time she doesn’t cook in a ‘clean eating’ whole foods obsessed Naomi Smart way, and is just as keen for a McDonalds every now and then. She’s got a great sense of balance.

One thing she never talks about is her religion. I respect its a private side of her life but I can’t help but be intrigued since it’s pretty rare to come across whole families that go to church every week these days. In the UK, that is. I’m an atheist but it seems clear to me that their religion has had a great impact on the family and likely is one of the reasons they are so close, eat so many meals together etc and I would just be interested to hear more about it. As I said though I fully support her right to keep it private if she wishes.

Just saw this thread pop up and came here as I love having her videos on in the background whilst i WFH.

Could you clue me in as to how she’s broken the rules? I have no time for these influencers that break the rules and show it off...
To add to Robin’s excellent post, the Chloe and Jesse videos have definitely overlapped and only one would be able to bubble with the booths with an isolation period needed to change.

Chloe also appears to have been seeing her fiancé, so either it’s a case that she has to choose the Booths or him as her bubble, or it’s that she’s already living with her fiancé in which case she’s not eligible to bubble with the Booths.

ETA: in terms of the bubbles and people in her house thing, a few times her stories have told a different story to the vlogs - Chloe in the vlog but Jesse in instastories etc.

Honor has also definitely been in Grace’s house (heard in the background) which would be another breach.

A few times there have been other voices (which to be fair could be zoom etc) but followed by a more sudden cut than Grack normally does - as if someone walked into view who ”shouldn’t”.

During the initial March lockdown, she was (at least on camera) respecting the rules over supermarkets and essential trips too, which is why it’s so startling to see her going every five mins now.

I love this website so much! It's so interesting to read other people's thoughts!

Anyway, I discovered Grackle a little while ago. I don't quite agree with the claims that she is immature. When I was 23, I was a year (or less?) away from graduating from medical school and let me tell you, I would have been slated by many people if my maturity was to be judged by vlogs. I loved going home every weekend, loved my mum doing things for me and when I was home, like someone mentioned, you do regress a little. I'm 28 now but I genuinely feel that my 'maturity' is not far off Grackle tbh although at work I'm a totally different person.

I really like Grackle and I look forward to 'watching' yet another great Tattle thread!

I was so worried that I was walking into a roast! Thank god you all love her, too! I think she’s a genuine young woman who is just trying to find her way in the world. She is passionate about baking and has a healthy attitude toward food. No ads either! Great!

Joining in to say I'm so glad to see a positive thread on here! I love how she keeps it so real, and also mega props to her for providing entertaining videos during quarantine! I also really appreciate the amount of heart she's putting in to educating herself about BLM, you can tell it is all genuine.

I also have to say, it's a bit of an odd point, but it's nice to see her be part of a family who have genuine modern Christian values. I am no longer Christian, but I think you can see the genuine good side of religion through her family

So our Grackle got a kitchenaid. Slightly jealous but don’t think anyone else deserves it as much as her ❤
Her photos on Instagram are hilarious!

I love how her videos are so well researched. And how she’s so naturally funny without trying too hard. Probably the only person I really watch now.

I see where you’re all coming from. I sometimes steer clear from some of the food centred videos even though her channel is baking/cooking/challenge type videos. I generally don’t mind her main content but I prefer her vlogs a videos different from what she normally does.
One video that didn’t sit well with me was the video where she did a weeks worth of workouts because I know for many it can be triggering. But otherwise I like her content.
Off topic: other than Chloe moving out (which was mentioned earlier) what else did Grace talk about?
I see where you're coming from and I really hope I'm not coming across as ignorant or insensitive but surely it isn't Grace's fault if she's talking about workouts in a healthy way and you (plural, not directed at you specifically!) get triggered by it when you know what the topic of the video is. I know that some videos feature 'triggering' topics without it being in the title but isn't it better for people to avoid videos that are blatantly going to trigger them rather than Grace not being able to healthily talk about exercise (which is something we all need in normal doses) for an audience where the majority won't be triggered. If we avoid positive conversations around food and exercise then it creates a stigma and it legitimises eating disorders that view food as negative and excessive exercise as positive.
