Saw this forum and thought no one better be talking about grackle negatively and genuinely relieved to find its all good stuff 😂 absolutely adore her - so down to earth, real and a genuine human being. Nothing I can fault about her other than the fact that she doesn’t upload daily 😂😂 cannot get enough of her, one of the only good you tubers who you can tell are just being themselves
Only "bad" thing I can say about her is she is surrounded by beautiful guys. And that makes me jealous. 😂😂😂 The two guys Sam and Tom in her gameshow video, so gorgeous, especially Sam. 😍😍😍

Her video where she did TikTok food trends was SO wholesome, I just love how her family do their own thing while she films. It’s like you’re sitting down with them for dinner. Her relationship with her family is so similar to mine and it really makes missing them during lockdown easier!

Confession time:
Does anyone else feel like this?
I wish I was apart of Grace’s family.
I don’t want to seem ungrateful for my family, but I grew up in a very dysfunctional family home. So seeing a healthy family dynamic makes me feel at ease to watch. Also all the Booth kids seem to have grown up polite, lovely, smart, and independent. There seems to have been emotional support, which is something you really don’t see often.
I know how you feel! I spent the majority of my teenage years just living with one parent, so didn't have as much contact with the rest of my immediate fam.

But Grace has two parents and multiple siblings in the same house and it's easy to feel jealous of having such a big loving unit living together. They're also great at expressing love, like when her mum thanked her for making that breakfast buffet. It warmed my cold heart 🥰

Someone mentioned that Grace is very creative and that’s why her videos work. I think a major factor is that she is not looking for the next sponsorship or brand deal. She’s not trying to get mega views or subs. This means she can do what she wants and it just works.
I was having similar thoughts watching her earlier. She must be getting a decent number of brand offers coming her way and I don’t think she’s done a single one, has she ? Very commendable. I wonder why. Is it she doesn’t like the idea of not having full creative control ? Or she couldn’t fake enthusiasm about a product (that I can easily believe) and nothing she likes enough has come up - like, lush say? Maybe she just doesn’t want to be doing any YouTube for money. I hope it’s not because of audience criticism, she does seem sensitive about that. I hope she knows most of us would fully support her making a bit of extra cash - we know she deserves it, don’t we?

On the acne i also had similar thoughts. Those being however ‘unpleasant’ to look at it’s my issue to deal with. I think it’ll be so helpful for teens struggling with confidence because of their acne, i was lucky to avoid it but remember how devastating it was for friends. I think she’s doing something very brave and important.

Now I’m afraid I’m going to bring the tone down. To preface you can see how fond I am of Grace and her personality from the above or my many other contributions to this thread. But i didn’t like the Christmas video. I can’t be alone. I thought it was a bit “much.” I’m sorry but at times I find her childishness a bit frustrating. Especially since it almost seems to be getting more pronounced as she gets older... sometimes it actually seems like she is a child in a woman’s body.. which is a bit disconcerting. I dunno, not a fan. Also I’m finding her ‘random observations’ “don’t you think xyz mundanity is such an incredible thing” a little annoying and dare I say, contrived ?
I think this thread and her channel can take a bit of healthy criticism, she’s so outstandingly charming in general. Not everyone can like everything.

I really enjoy her q&as and I look forward to seeing where her life takes her. I loved how candid she was in this one. She was so wholesome when she was talking about body shaming and talking about loving yourself before accepting someone else's love and about how she wasn't ready for a boyfriend and how lovely her friends are.

Again, I don't think she will do the youtube forever and not sure of her exact stats but I know she's likely making a little more than just pocket money from it. I also think she's had fine work experience for her age and breaking into the modelling world is notoriously difficult so even dipping her toe in as she did is impressive. Also she made sure to mention she's doing plenty outside of youtube, we just don't see it often - especially since she isn't able to physically help out at the church anymore. People can be annoying and definitely want to know everything so I understand her frustration with those that want her to always show everything on camera, she's right to respect her family's privacy.

I don’t think vloggers/influencers can win. If she spoke up about her political/moral/religious beliefs I’m sure she’d be hit with plenty of ‘I FoLlOw YoU fOr VlOgS nOt PoLiTiCs’ comments.
yeh I agree, I have said before somethinbg about her church seems a bit weird to me and I cannot put my finger on it, but I would rather people in the public eye don't make vacuous statements about issues they don't understand properly, that is why we have journalists etc. I don't need to be educated on something important by a youtuber who doesn't really underestand the issue more than me anyway

Grace is constantly proving she really is a gem. I had no idea there were management companies like this who represent people who want to use their influence for good. I’m so happy for her! She deserves to make some money from YT so hopefully this will help. I imagine that more commercial management teams have been in touch previously, I’m glad she’s held out and found the right one for her 🥰
I think of all the youtubers I follow she isthe only one with an ounce of integrity

I loved watching her in that Live video. I admire that she can chat all the way through (I know I couldn’t). It’s also really nice to see her just chat away and her perspective of things. Shame that Chloe’s wedding is postponed.
I agree with @rainonme it is refreshing to see someone so open about not having been on a date or kissed. Also she has mentioned in a previous Live that her love language is quality time, which I also like to see her being open about. Because in a intimacy, touch, dating obsessed world (mainly in the western culture) it can be hard to relate, if you’re not into it.
I’m surprised at Grace briefly trying online dating but I feel the same way about online dating.

I must admit the picnic in the park with her friend was the moment I thought wow
but she HAS done something wrong, she has blatantly been breaking the rules by seeing people from outside her household and not even distancing when she does. I like her content, hence being on this thread, but i cannot just ignore her rule breaking, which i imagine is the same for many others
couldn’t agree more she is totally selfish in her behaviour

Absolutely love Grace! Her content is a breath of fresh air and it’s so nice to see someone outside of the usual influencer ~would sell you their granny if they could~ type.

It was so exciting watching her during that crazy period last year when her channel was really blowing up and she was gaining around 50k subscribers a day; very deserved and you can tell she never expects or takes anything for granted!

Also, so happy to hear about Chloe’s engagement! Tbh I had no idea she was even in a relationship which is credit to Grace for being so good at respecting her family’s privacy.

This is going to sound really persnickety and probably quite judgemental (so apologies for that, please call me out if this is unnecessary as I don’t want to kill the positive vibes here) but does anyone else find Grace’s mum’s voice slightly irritating? I think it’s the way she emphasises her Ss. Just wondering if anyone else knows what I mean or if I’m going mad. They’re a lovely family.
yeh I think compared to (all) msot other influencers she manages to feature her family/friends without breaching anyone's privacy. it is a difficult lline to tow i imagine but she does it well

What sort of opinions in particular should she be sharing?

I don’t think her content is exactly meant to be all that deep and her and her family don’t seem to be the type of people to be that vocal on things, they are very laid back and she does seem very sensitive to criticism, which I can understand not wanting to share everything as her audience has really grown.

I am kind of curious on her thoughts on Christianity and how its shaped her life though, but I know most people don’t care for that kind of thing and if she doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it that doesn’t bother me.

She eats well a good balanced diet and definitely enjoys food. I certainly don’t think she has any issues with food but I do think she’s most likely underweight for her height. It’s definitely genetic her mum is very slim as is Chloe and Jessie

Not every Christian church automatically = unaccepting, anti-LGBT, hateful, ect

The church itself looks very family-oriented and very accepting and positive even though I have no interest in going to a church.

I actually like that she’s not trying to shove all her views down your throat like so many other youtubers. I’m sure she has opinions and views on some things but she’s not going to share them and that’s fine. Seeing someone who avoids politics for once is nice. If she was more vocal there would likely be people that would stop watching her regardless of what she thinks just because its become such a divisive and toxic thing. Grace herself is a very accepting and open-minded person, she definitely doesn't want to offend anyone.

I agree on the consumption stuff as well. I sometimes think Grace feels like she has to keep putting out videos multiple times a week because she’s now pretty much become a fulltime youtuber and feels that it is expected of her to make a lot of videos, but it also wouldn’t hurt her to slow down a bit and her subscribers would understand! Personally I don't mind so much if she did start doing sponsorships but i know she worries it would make her seem less authentic and turn people off.

Has Grace ever had a boyfriend or expressed any kind of romantic / sexual interest in anyone? I find it surprising that she seems so childlike in that regard, despite being in her twenties...

Off topic:
What do people think of Grace being a bit immature for her age?
I think she seems like a sweet person and I enjoy the down to earth vibe she has in her videos.
Sometimes I can't believe she's 23 years old. I forgot that she’s in her 20s when I feel like she is much younger.
I wonder if being thrust when she was a teenager into the fashion world, which has a lot of seediness floating around it, made her regress into a child somehow? I will say that I’m glad that she’s out of that environment and doing what she loves but I wonder what she would have been like if she stayed. Modeling looks glamorous but in reality it’s mentally and emotionally draining. Not an enviable job.

I'm one year older than Grace and feel a lot more mature than her. But I've lived away from my family for 6 years now, so I think that's helped contribute to my maturity. However I feel that with most regards to her life Grace is mature (for instance, making food for family friends to drop off, volunteering at her church etc), but when she is with her family her maturity drops a lot, and that is mostly what she puts in her videos, so it's the more dominant side of her that we see.

I’d be very surprised if Grace or her family were anti LGBT at all. I have no knowledge of her church or faith- I’m atheist myself- but I just dont get that vibe from her at all. She seems very accepting and forward thinking. Also, with her dad being headmaster of a secondary school, I think that makes it even more likely he’d be part of an anti LGBT religion as that just wouldnt fly these days.

Just adding to the comments that I love Grace and her videos and I’m so happy to find so many others see her this way. Her videos is like a mix of old style Youtube vlogs and new YT vids but without all the bullshit, and she just seems the most refreshing, genuine, funny and interesting person. Her vids make me feel better after watching them and even inspired.

Grackle all the way
