I think she would surprise you. Churches in England have gay vicars now 🤷‍♀️ If the Church doesn’t judge, I doubt she would x
I agree! I think her outlook on the whole BLM was incredibly positive and when you look at her church it seems very inclusive, catering to many.

The one thing I love about Grace is she is obviously very passionate about her faith but in no way does she shove it down your throat or preach at you, so her opinions on others never cross my mind as I don’t watch her as a Christian vlogger, I watch her as Grackle!

I went to an CofE school and that was enough to put me off religion for life. As a committed atheist it doesn't appear cultish to me. But then again any religion can appear cultist to outsiders? Christianity has moved on and found different niche ways to worship. The INC seem pretty big and worldwide. Considering Grace appears level headed and dare I say 'normal', in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make me scratch my head and be suspicious.

yep I completely agree. She has broken lockdown rules and I’m not defending her for it. She’s an adult and she should take responsibility for her actions whether she’s sensitive or not I get that.
My point was..I don’t think she is the right sort of person to be an ‘influencer’. She’s very childlike in some ways as other people have pointed out but I don’t believe that to be a bad thing. It is natural for people to comment on you if you’re a social media figure sometimes they’re good comments, sometimes their constructive criticism and other times it is just trolling (death threats etc which I doubt is relevant in Graces case but some people do get them). I personally think Grace is likely to take those comments more to heart than some others would since she doesn’t have to much life experience outside her family home, once again that’s what you get when you put your life out there it’s just an observation of her personality.
yeah I agree, I (assume!) my friends/family like me, but they of course criticise me at times if I do soemthing wrong, blind approval is not natural imo. The fact that she is so affected by any negative criticism (which I imagine must be little as she is generally very unproblematic) for me is weird.... usually anyone at her age has had negative criticism at work/uni etc and can deal with it. Of course no one likes it but she seems to take it too personally

both parents are teachers her mum is a textiles teacher her dad is a head too! And her sister is also a teacher.
They really should be promoting following the lockdown rules then. It just makes no sense because prior to lockdown 3.0 surely they would have been at risk of contracting it from their pupils, and so should have been taking extra precautions? Or visa-versa and could have been at risk of infecting pupils at their school.

I have a friend who's dad is a GP and who's mum is the vicar at my local church. She has been travelling in the pandemic, and even had her boyfriend from Italy come to stay with them for xmas. It makes no sense to me that people like her parents are risking exposing other people to the virus, when their jobs are essential. It has made me loose faith in some of these people who would otherwise be considered "intelligent".

I am worried for her. Accutane can wreak havoc on your mental health. I know she’s not taken this decision lightly but I do hope she keeps an eye on her mood.
I know what you mean but my sister was a similar age when she eventually went on it & she actually suffered from quite bad anxiety at the time so was very wary. However, she found as her skin improved her mental health actually did as well, I don't think she realised how much her acne was affecting her mood untill it started to clear. I think Grace seems like she might be the same & I'm sure her family will keep a close eye on her, she seems like she has a really good support network & think she could end up making some really helpful videos from this.

Long time lurker here. I’m so glad there’s a positive thread about grace! She’s the only YT’er that I watch, she just seems so uncomplicated and humble.

Exactly this. I'd rather see her just being herself - acne included - than layered in an inch of make-up and/or heavily photoshopped . Her videos have also helped me have a much healthier relationship with food. Can't sing her praises enough.
i love that she was a model yet isnt at all appearance focused, it doesnt surprise meshe quit i cannot imagine her getting on with other models etc. her latest video, yet again such a creative original idea

I think a lot of the complaints here are somewhat a result of lockdown making current videos a bit repetitive and lacklustre, I adore Grace. 🥺 I do think she still seems like the same Grace, though maybe her personality has to be a little more forced just to keep her going lately(?), she’s absolutely a people person and the lockdown restrictions must be putting a massive dampener on it.

As for the baking degree, a lot of what went into it seems to be product design, nutrition, labelling etc as well as the practical baking side, just instilling the basics of baking really ... I wouldn’t say she’s at an amateur level at all —but I understand where you’re coming from. I’m assuming your comment about Colin was because hers didn’t look as pro as you would expect (I can’t remember the video much tbh), but I think it’s hard to judge as everyone has particular skills and hers (God love her) have never really been the design side of the bake.

Long time lurker - but I think on the class thing (which is so British!) it’s clear they’re lower to middle middle class and her parents bought the house decades ago. I think she’s really sweet and it’s refreshing and she is my favourite YouTube but it certainly does get a little jarring when she’s 23 and I’m worried about rent and she’s stressing about an air fryer

Grace’s content is so originally - it’s so refreshing she doesn’t do the easy thing and just do whatever challenge or vlog is trending like so many others do. I get the impression making as much money as possible from YT is not her driving force - she genuinely cares about what she puts out there.

I felt for Grace when the cake fell on the floor - I’m clumsy like that too and it’s heartbreaking when you bake something nice and then you drop it

But you’re not supposed to go with people you don’t live with in tier 2

Meeting outdoors
You can see friends and family you do not live with (or do not have a support bubble with) outdoors, in a group of no more than 6. This limit of 6 includes children of any age.

she’s done nothing wrong

A couple of times now I've noticed that she is eating dairy but then I think she said in one vlog recently that she had a repercussion straight after (💩)
I also agree with the latest video, I honestly really like Grack and Honor seems nice but their reactions were just kinda OTT. Her personality changes when she's engaging with someone, but I suppose we don't see that very often with COVID so it seems more heightened? I prefer just her normal vlogs, please don't change Grackle!

I think that she is a breath or fresh air within youtube and she seems so genuine and grateful for everything, I really want her to become more well known and be really succesful but at the same time I like how her channel isn’t big and isn’t full of ads. However I do feel that is Grace was offered an ad she wouldn’t promote something without her being genuinely grateful and genuinely liking the product. I honestly wish her all the success and absolutely love how she doesn’t follow trends and has really original ideas.

@Vanessajenkins Yeah, I do agree with that. It such a good feeling to watch a video and not to be afraid that some Lush's or similar advert is creeping from behind 😅 I just remember how she made hotel breakfast for her family - i loooved the video itself - but she bought a plastic cornflakes/granolla dispenser thingy? I remember rolling my eyes so hard 😅 I hope nobody got motivated to get one for themselves, even how much excited Grace was 🙌
That hotel breakfast video warmed my heart. Her family were so grateful. I do hope they continue to use the dispensers though!
