I really like Grace but I'm a bit dubious about her alleged healthy relationship with food.

The families meals seem very small, and I've always thought quite controlled portion and health wise. Considering Grace is often hungry they seem overly small. She shows quite large quantities of baked goods and sweets and snacks, which to me gives me slight Elzani vibes - sort of obsessing over snack foods.

I feel like her parents give me controlling healthy vibes, several things over the years that have been made me think this . And Grace is very slim, she looks underweight tbh and for someone who says they like food so much you'd think she'd just eat bigger portions of her main meals? Lots of talk of her lankiness. She was in the modelling industry and I'd be surprised if she came out unscathed with this miraculous healthy relationship with food

Really love her hair, it looks so well done
How? It’s the same one who does Zoe sugg’s hair and I always think she does a terrible job on all her clients for the prices she charges 🤣🤣 but maybe my view is tainted because I have seen Sam around for a long time

as if i’ve just made an account to agree with this? a massive eye roll from me when i saw it on the stories. now we will have a shocked 😱 unpacking in a video where she didn’t expect it to be sent out.
it makes me wonder how much other stuff she was "randomly" sent was things she had actually asked for?

When I first started watching and she said she had done some modelling I had no idea that in a short space of time she had been really successful. It must take courage to give up a career to go back to education and start over
I don't think it was a difficult decision for her. She knew what she enjoyed doing and wanted a career in and modelling wasn't it. She didn't like the travel and being away from her family. She was too wholesome to stay in such a cutthroat industry for long. Also her family is very supportive and it wasn't like she had anyone encouraging her to keep modelling if she didn't enjoy it. Her old pictures are fun to look at though.

I’ve got covid at the moment and the advice is that you don’t need to self isolate beyond the ten days unless you’ve still got a fever so I don’t think it’s fair to slate her as it’s highly unlikely she’s infectious anymore.
Agree, when I had Covid it was even 7 days of staying at home and I was fine after those days and I was allowed to go back to work.

After her tagging oralB when her toothbrush broke I lost all respect for her.
If you can afford a £600 pallet of shite you can buy a new toothbrush/air wrap/laptop.
It’s so depressing how all influencers just seem to end up doing the same

It appears her brother is married, seems mad to me that in barely 6 months her family went from no engaged kids to 2/3 married! I wonder if that’s why Grace is going on dating apps, maybe she feels a bit left behind
I was so surprised to see this too, I guess it was their wedding she kept mentioning in one of her recent vlogs? They only got engaged in March

She hasn’t put a single thing up about the current talk about women not feeling safe etc (not sure I can say on here the name of the poor woman). It’s surprised me 😕 it’s so important for influencers to show support and spread awareness.

exactly, it is like when people use the word "depressed" when really they are just a bit upset or something, makes people take serious MH issues less seriously
Exactly! I had a very severe case of a burn out. I LITERALLY couldn't move nor get out of bed for at least half a year. Getting to the kitchen and making food was like running a marathon. Lots of people around me didn't understand and wished me a good time off and "relax at home", when I was really sick and working so hard to get better. If you are seriously burned out a trip to London is the last thing you want and can actually do! She's clearly very capable of doing stuff, she's just tired of her routine, that's something completely different than being burned out. You are absolutely right re: depression, too. It's so overused by influencers now that people with real MH issues are not taken seriously anymore*

*Not talking about the ones who are actually suffering of course x

This is not to hate on Grace, but I worry a bit when I see people with EDs saying they aspire to have Graces relationship with food

I see someone who eats quite controlled meals. Who gives the impression they eat lots yet actually probably doesn't, and maintains a very low weight, which probably isn't ideal for someone with an ED to aspire to

what in her parents makes you think they have controlling healthy attitudes?
I don't know really, its hard to say off the top of my head but I always think when they have dinners there's almost a point about small portions and lots of veg. Or when the mum gets a takeaway. Its really hard to give examples but they've always given me that vibe

It's so strange to me that she's clearly in New York, on a trip, and is posting totally unrelated content on her YouTube? Normally she would tell viewers if she was going somewhere or doing something ahead of time but we didn't get any updates or planning videos or anything. Is she just no longer pretending the videos are even about her?

And she left a modeling career to pursue her baking degree. A career where, from the looks of it, she could have been very well-off for at least some years to come, and that also puts immense pressure on young women to change and conform to a never-ending list of rigid demands. That Grace knew what was right for her and *did it* even though it doesn't seem like the typical step, and at such an early age, is hella impressibe tbh

So I hope she doesn't start making sacrifices she isn't actually comfortable with, but she also seems like a person who would actually dare and do a good job taking an unconventional path.
It is impressive but to be fair, unless you're a supermodel modelling doesn't pay that much, you hear about girls being exploited and made to share tiny flats with many other models and being paid pennies to be flown around the world non stop. So unless she mentioned she was making good money and I missed that I could see how she could have realised it wasn't worth it pretty quickly

I'm all for having a "mental health" plushie (the big ones from Ikea are very popular!) for when you feel mentally unwell and just need a cuddle and a hug and a blanket but that's for... special days. In my opinion, you are never too old for a plush, but you also have to see it for what it is. Leave it at home and work on your mental health issues so you can comfort yourself in stead of needing it from a plushie.

Is she vaccinated at all? She's quite young, so I wasn't sure if she'd gotten a dose or not yet, poor thing.

At least she proved my theory: COVID figures would start rising two weeks after the Euro and people are coming up positive bang on queue.
she has had the firts one, she posted about it, everyone who is her age now that wants one should have had at least the first by now (in the UK)

I swear she was starting a series where she was trialling staying in different places in London for a few days at a time to see where she wanted to move to? I feel she did one and then stopped so maybe the idea of moving to London has gone

A reminder for all those who struggle with the topic of food and exercise. Be kind to yourself and remember that Grace’s lifestyle isn’t right or wrong, she’s merely documenting what works for her. If a takeaway is all you can muster up the strength to eat, that is fine. If you can’t be bothered to leave the house today, that is fine. Look after yourself and don’t pressure yourself to watch her food content if it’s triggering. If you’re suffering with an ED, please seek professional help and don’t use people on YouTube as an indicator of how you should be living♥♥

I am recovering and i have had hard time in the past with her videos. But remember, different bodies, different paths ❤

Boring vlog..
I do like shoping vlogs done by people that live in America just because I enjoy it and I like to see what they sell there.
When I went to America I did go to Target because I needed some stuff but it wasnt as amazing as people like Grace make it about to be, at the end its just a store. I feel like Grace always hypes up things for herself and at the end most things just arent that exciting or great as she thinks they are.

Her only job is youtube and the kitchen seems to be the spot she does a lot of filming, I imagine it's not always easy when you live with other people and very often have a camera in an area of the house that's also frequented by your family. Though I do think if she really wanted to her mum could tell her the common areas of the house are off limits to filming (but then she'd probably have to move out)
I dont know why she films videos that involve others if they dont wanna be filmed
