Don’t see a problem with this though 🤣 I’ve been to loads of different countries and do this tbf because it’s amazing to see the differences! Why not 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
Agreed tbf, the whole thing about maccies is that the menu is totally different in every country depending on what they like to eat in general. Where I live you can actually buy a McPint of beer, it’s fucking great 🤣

This is a really good point which I hadn’t considered. From my own experiences and friends experiences relating to this issue, I am just very passionate about it and struggle to understand why other women aren’t as open with it but you’re so right and this has made me see things differently!
100% me too, I'm resharing/tweeting loads and talking to my family about it constantly. I was planning on attending the Clapham Common vigil this evening but haven't decided what to do now its been 'officially cancelled'. To be honest I hadn't considered why someone wouldn't talk about it until a woman I follow on Twitter said she literally couldn't open her social media apps this week as almost every post triggered a flashback to when she was raped by a stranger. So now I'm just reserving judgement

Was shocked to see Grace had a tattle thread, until I realised it was a rave about! Amongst all the fake ‘influencers’ and YouTubers today, she’s such a breath of fresh air.

I've noticed since we've been pointing out overused phrases, she seems to be using them less but now just overuses other ones instead :ROFLMAO: Not sure if it's just coincidence or if she reads here lol.

I'm starting to wonder if the reason I enjoyed her videos so much to begin with were because they were a calming distraction during lockdown 1.0 but now she's kinda still doing the same stuff and hasn't 'evolved' as such, and I guess you can only watch baking videos for so long. Like in her latest video (or one of the latest) she made a comment about how she doesn't understand how people have so many errands to run. I know it was meant innocently but it kinda peeved me because I thought well yeah, cause you live at home and make youtube videos as a 'career'. She doesn't really understand adult life in that regard, but then why should she when she doesn't really have many responsibilites or life experience as such. I guess what I'm trying to say is maybe I'm being too harsh on her and that really it's just that I can't really relate to her and that's the problem.

I'm probably just an old cynical witch lol, although saying that I am only 28 but she makes me feel 40 in comparison lmao.
That’s most youtubers to be fair. Getting a coffee and cake at 10am, going to Pilates or Yoga at 8. A quick post lunch stroll and shite like that.
Meanwhile my arse is glued to my chair from 9-5.30 bar some potty breaks for my dog but yea....very unrealistic for most of us.
Is this comment coming from jealousy? Well yes! I’d like to have the time to do these things but hey mortgage, bills etc. 🤪

Did anyone watch her Grackle Tries series?
I just watched it! I don't really watch much Youtube anymore other than hers and a few others so I am unsure if somebody else has done it before BUT to me, it seems quite a new and fun idea! It was nice to see her mixing with someone else other than her fam/honour. Hopefully doing things like this will push her out of her comfort zone a little more.

I'm Jewish and its the same with religious Jews. Sometimes they'll get married after meeting once. Its usually a few months tops of dating and then they'll be engaged and married within the year. With lots of babies to follow. They get married so young too, usually before 20. Yeah the divorce rates are low but is that because people feel pressured to not divorce because of the bible or is it because the women can't see a way out now that their purpose in life is to keep a happy house for her husband and multitudes of kids? I think Grace has too many aspirations to let herself go down that route, especially as her mum and sister have successful jobs.

I don't think it was a difficult decision for her. She knew what she enjoyed doing and wanted a career in and modelling wasn't it. She didn't like the travel and being away from her family. She was too wholesome to stay in such a cutthroat industry for long. Also her family is very supportive and it wasn't like she had anyone encouraging her to keep modelling if she didn't enjoy it. Her old pictures are fun to look at though.
yeah looking back on it I am surprised she ever started, she has mentioned being nervous about being away from home, travelling abroad effectively alone is a big step for someone so young!

I used to love watching Grace and her original ideas, just recently have watched a few videos and switched off. Why does she keep saying sweet mother of pearl? Where has this saying come from?

It just feels so sad that she was one of the few people on here with a rave thread, that actually her other thread is gonna take over as people get more disenchanted and bored of her lazy videos

I have a sad feeling her "boyfriend" didn't work out. I get the impression Grace comes on a little too hard and wants to put labels on things too quickly and that may have scared a guy off. Which is such a shame, but her energy recently suggests something happened with him
That’s interesting, I definitely haven’t gotten that impression yet. When she said her friend found the new version of her dog toy I actually assumed she meant him. It feels like something you’d buy for someone in the mushy honeymoon phase.

Look, as an anorexic, I genuinely find this kind of discussion incredibly naive and frustrating.
Firstly, Grace clearly has no phobias. She eats everything, she touches all kinds of foods. She doesn't have a strict food routine and never sticks to safe foods - her diet is varied, there's nothing she stays clear from and she's not frightened of things like butter, oil or nuts - mayjor healthy food relationship vibes there.

Secondly, only eating a bite of a biscuit in a video in a taste-testing video - GOOD
There are so many fucking unhealthy binge-eating channels on YouTube where they eat everything in ridiculous amounts.
That's not healthy.

A normal, healthy person only takes a bite of something when taste-testing something - it's what chefs do and it's what reviewers do. That's the whole point of "taste testing"
Comparing her to her older FAHTER's eating habits is asinine.

a) he's a man b) he's older. He probably doesn't care about his physique the same way a 20-something-year-old woman does (shocker), and he's a man! Their metabolisms are totally different. My mother doesn't have an eating disorder, but she eats very differently from my uncle. My uncle is in his sixties, a gym freak, and he'll devour a packet of biscuits without a second thought. My mother, who just cares about cholesterol and isn't as hungry, will probably eat a biscuit.

Not eating the whole this in a TASTE TESTING video is normal and healthy. Good on Grace!
What's not healthy are those binge-eating videos that promote unhealthy, disordered, gorging on all the food in front of them
Look, I’m also diagnosed with AN. Don't think any of us were claiming she has an ED, merely that she clearly is conscious of her health and perhaps weight and not just someone who regularly indulges and is completely oblivious and care free as people often seem to think she is.

I hope having a relationship will make her mature a bit more, I think part of the issue is that she has been stuck at home, not working a real job (like so many people of her age atm) and just mixing with the same people. I think this relationship could really be good for her. Her content is very similar to her friend Clickfor Taz who actually seems to be getting less mature as time goes on, I hope she doesn;t go down that route

I used to watch Grace's videos all the time, they were so refreshing and different to the perfect aesthetic youtuber videos but now I barely watch anymore as it's just the same thing over and over again! I love Grace as a person, she seems like such a sweetheart but I can't help feeling that she's got a bit lost and followed the money instead of her passion. I think she would do really well to try and get into some kind of food development role or work in a foodie business, a 'real job' would do her a lot of good and I think she'd enjoy it, she seems very much a people person.
I wonder if she feels like she's wasted her degree or if she cares. Many of her uni friends are probably in bakeries or restaurants now and have moved out of their parents house and she's doing the same supermarket vlogs. I think it's probably a following the money sort of thing, but I don't think she has any idea what she wants to do or what her passion even is so youtube is like her default. I would love to see more refreshing content though. Idk what it is, but despite her extroverted personality I get the feeling she struggles a lot with social anxiety and isn't that confident.

I was wondering the same, usual reason is creative differences. Grace has some strong beliefs and I can imagine her finding it hard to follow the usual pattern of AD after AD and creating content around promotional work.
Other people with Sixteenth have had some weird sponsorships in the past (Ruby Granger advertising Holocaust Memorial Day but not saying what she did with her payment springs to mind!), So respect to Grace for parting ways!
