So then she did make the decision because she consented to it? I don’t understand why people are so pedantic over the things she is saying. She was there, none of us were.
Actually she claimed that it was her idea to deliver the baby earlier which is in my opinion complete bullshit. But i assume according to you im being pedantic:cool:.

I feel like a lot of people here don’t have a clue about Grace’s longgg past history of lies and manipulation and think we’re just bitching about a random woman who’s recovering from a coma.

also where are those mods who give warnings regarding policing other peoples opinions? This thread needs one regularly lol

It’s so sad that society glorifies obesity and people who are as big as she is because people don’t want to take accountability anymore “I was born this way” “there’s nothing wrong with being plus sized” yes there’s nothing wrong with being plus sized or being a bit bigger but there is something very wrong with being obese and it shouldn’t be glorified
Obese people are far from gloryfying. Even less so is society in general. Obese people are just fighting for their right to live in dignity as any human deserves it. That’s the most basic level of human exidttrnce. Really don’t get where all this glorifying humbug results from. For every picture of a bigger person on the internet come 1000s and 1000s of the nastiest disrespectful comments.

It's a shame that the work nurses do is often downplayed. Them taking care of a patient's hair is going above and beyond but because so many have the compassion, this extra level of care is being taken for granted. It's vanity, not part of the recovery. Grace needs to be more grateful.

Umm pretty sure most people knew pregnant people were at a higher risk?!!

Also, if I were Lee I’d be so hurt and angry about this comment.

Just me who thinks this set up is very unsafe? I mean on a hard flat surface you could get away with it with supervision but on a cushioned uneven surface like this? I can’t imagine grace is able to quickly get up to save a falling baby, all it would take is him kicking his legs to unbalance it

I've followed grace on and off for years but had unsubbed due to her increasingly arrogant attitude, so not sure why im so surprised at her lack of gratitude to the NHS etc but anyway.

As a front line medic who has worked throughout the pandemic, seen some awful scenes, caught covid twice myself, watched colleagues become very ill and in some cases not recover, I find Grace's attitude to her whole experience pretty shocking. The whole 'I told them to *insert multiple complicated medical decisions/procedures* bragging-esque ramblings almost unwatchable. This together with an apparent lack of awareness that there were many many other patients that required high levels of care, plus the stress and challenges the pandemic as a whole brought to NHS doesn't seem to register. I don't know how she can honestly sit there and say she didn't want to go to rehab and then made a lists of demands as though she was some kind of A-lister but has to get it in there about how her nails and hair weren't cared for to her standard. They saved your life and not a mention of how her obesity/socialising most likely contributed.

I am so glad she recovered and that her and baby are well but jeez, a little humility and thanks wouldn't go amiss..

Ok but still: why is it her (and many others ofc), who got COVID in a first world country with very well developed health services? Why some and some not? I think if you come to the conclusion that this is not completely arbitrary but for some higher reason, it’s a far more solid base for gratitude than to think „yeah. I was just lucky, you know. Could be anybody.“ 🤷🏻‍♀️ Because then you try harder in life and value your chance more.
I feel like to answer this question you're not grasping the actual basic scientific facts and the nature of disease in general. Why do some people have severe allergies and some don't? Oh, it must be because they don't 'will' themselves not to hard enough, or perhaps they just don't have a 'fighting personality enough', eh? also how does someone living a'good purposeful life afterwards' have ANY bearing on their survival before this apparent epiphany? You literally make no sense.

I am a frontline medic and its very difficult for someone like myself to give these type of comments the time of day. Having seen the reality of the devastation of covid amongst the public and my colleagues, including having had covid twice myself, the second time pretty badly, there are many variables that can contribute to and even determine outcomes and none of them are down to will, manifestation or personality type.

That’s like saying that the people who died just didn’t try hard enough though, how can you possibly say that?

in nearly the whole 30 min video she didn't once give thanks to the staff that battled to save her life. she nearly came across like it was the nhs's fault that she got corona
I was thinking the exact same thing, she even went as far as to refer to some of the staff as "the staff that I loved, the staff that I hated "

Also demanding an en suite for her rehab or she isnt going, but then going on to say she doesn't know why she was eligible because some dont get rehab. Not once has she even said she is grateful for the opportunity to go, instead she has proven how self entitled she is and how she has no awareness of how cocky and arrogant she comes across as.

Notice when Cyprus was being referred to as the miracle baby, Grace just had to interrupt and be like "and miracle mum"

My point is they’ve put their child online and shown him being weaned at five months. So either he’s got some digestive issues, in which case I’m sympathetic because that’s another burden on top of what they are dealing with. Or they are weaning early with no medical reason in which case yea, I will judge them because you aren’t meant to before six months, it’s not recommended at all. I’m merely speculating and covered both scenarios in my musing. They posted. I commented about it. Isn’t that the whole point of this board?

If I’d been in a coma, nearly died, given birth and barely been able to see my baby, I think the last thing I’d be worried about would be the ingredients in the shampoo

One of my real pet hates is people reposting their happy birthday messages, it just screams of “look how popular I am!”

What size do we think she was before?!?! 28?
Trigger warning - size / body

Bigger tbh. I think the sudden change in style from interesting outfits to baby gros was necessitated by the weight gain (which IMO is a direct result of influencing full time, not having to leave the house, this group of women have been in lockdown for years before the rest of us…). PLT go up to a size 26 in those baby gros and they’re not meant to be skin tight so I’d guess 30+?

It’s so sad that society glorifies obesity and people who are as big as she is because people don’t want to take accountability anymore “I was born this way” “there’s nothing wrong with being plus sized” yes there’s nothing wrong with being plus sized or being a bit bigger but there is something very wrong with being obese and it shouldn’t be glorified
How do you think obesity is being glorified? 🥴 If you polled 10 people off the high street and asked them if they’d rather look like Grace or Naomi Campbell you’d know the answer right? Morbidly obese ppl are marginalised on so many levels no one can pretend it’s even so much as accepted let alone glorified…

Is she talking about her 7 month old son? And is she talking about what he eats, or how much he eats?

I won't deny there are some things that come naturally to us but already at 7 months she's deciding not to restrict his eating.

If he's stopping after a certain amount then duhhh babies have smaller stomachs they are literally limited. But once he gets to toddler age, maybe it'd be wise to pay attention to portions.

It's not "diet culture" to make sure someone has a nutritious, well rounded but not excessive diet. Many people don't eat according to a "diet"... They just eat.

Boils my blood that she quite proudly states she got into a physical fight with a nurse...more like she tried to assault a nurse, because no nurse would try to hit back, except maybe out of self defence. Utter cow. I’ll be disliking her video to somewhat cancel out my adding to her view count.

Glad I found this thread as I was starting to feel I was just being a bitch😂
I had never heard of Grace until she got covid.
I am glad she’s survived it but my god, she’s a strange one isn’t she? Putting her survival down to god and just being a super amazing out of this world extra ordinary person. Christ. I watched her live video and found it completely bizarre that she said it was all down to pregnancy, and absolutely nothing to do with her weight or race, despite obesity being proven to be one of the major risk factors?! And unless I’ve missed it she still hasn’t addressed that? And whilst I don’t blame her for wanting Chinese food etc, if being in a coma and nearly dying isn’t a wake up call to make some serious life changes then I don’t know what is.
Also as someone who works for the NHS with previous ITU experience, I found her comments about not caring about her hair very frustrating!! She obviously has no idea what being a ITU nurse is like, and with covid I can’t even imagine. All critical care staff deserve a medal after this, not being slated cause they didn’t look after her hair!!
