No it's not. When she goes out into the world she is treated like a person of color, specifically a black person. The racist systems and individuals of the world aren't auditing her background and favoring her white heritage.

Just skimmed through the last few days and wanted to comment on the grace’s race discussion.

Grace is mixed race, she’s not black - she’s half black and half white. We’re not in the US so we don’t subscribe to the one drop rule. Calling mixed race people black, leads to the direct erasure of monoracial black women (with two black parents). Yes Grace faces racism, but experiencing racism is not a qualifying box for being black. Her experience as a mixed woman and mine as a full black woman will never ever be the same, and there are privileges that grace has, being half white and having a light complexion) that will never be awarded to me.

RE medical racism, there are different stats for both black women and mixed race women, and boxes on the census and official documents have mixed black and white as a separate option

My exact thoughts. I can't predict how I'd react coming out of something like that but I'm fairly certain I wouldn't be giving a shit about designer handbags, I'd be more focused on my health and my son.

I’m guessing she means a physio comes daily to help move her legs and strengthen muscles. Though that doesn’t sound quite so miraculous. She wants us to believe she’s up and about doing star jumps.

Is that right? Would a dietician really suggest that is a healthy thing to do? Would a dietician really recommend a massive fatty breakfast every day to, presumably, get back to where she was in size? Especially alongside the popcorn chicken etc. Just seems bizarre the things she's tweeting.

That's got to be utter nonsense. Maybe a dietician would say have scrambled eggs and tomatoes and some healthy toast, but not a fry up with hash browns. She's still grossly overweight, no dietician would recommend fried food. If she needs building up muscle and strength then eat porridge and fresh fruit!

Sorry just need to have my two cents as I feel angry reading this now. People in India would do anything to have access to the vaccine right now. Refusing it because you think you know better than science is incredibly privileged and a decision that will greatly impact other people as all the unvaccinated idiots will give it a chance to continue spreading and mutating.

OH and ONE MORE THING ABOUT VACCINES. My mum didn’t give me the MMR vaccine when i was a baby because they said it gave you autism and guess what? I’m autistic, and now not vaccinated against measles, mumps or rubella. (Sometimes I hope to get rubella just so I can have the last laugh) Have any anti-vax conspiracies ever been right?

I wish Grace would realise she’s less of a miracle and more of a cautionary tale. By her logic I’m practically superhuman for getting Covid and only having a mild cough and a slight temperature - not a Crystal or manifestation in sight.

It's true. She's a 'miracle' because her poor health & diet weren't in her favour but she survived thanks to medical intervention and that's the only reason. She would already get short of breath doing everyday tasks. She got very very lucky but that's all. It just suits her narrative to be a strong survivor miracle, like career-wise it couldn't be more perfect for her...

Also.. Yes it really is a mystery how one might get a scar on their hand.. in a hospital. The only logical explanation is that she is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.

I’m all for everyone’s right to make their own decisions re health, but I’ve been nursing in a Covid High Dependancy ward all year and TRUST ME, if anyone took a tour around it during the peaks they would be straight out the door for a vaccine. It was wild. The vaccine is the way out of the nightmare, it’s not even worthy of an argument.

Thank you for everything you’ve been doing - I’m sure plenty of posters on this thread are grateful and happily vaccinated or chomping at the bit for their chance to get it (not sure how anyone who saw what happened to Grace couldn’t be, to be honest).

I know we've moved on but I would like to add that you're also more likely to get a blood clot on a plane, but suddenly everyone is concerned about blood clots when it comes to life saving treatment.

Grace's hair has been thinning for years, her body has been through a lot the last 4 months, fighting to stay alive, the last thing it would do is use energy to grow hair.
