Wow, I can’t believe this.
1) the point about making small influencers buy products in order to have a small chance at being featured and extremely unethical. It’s not only encouraging uneccessary purchasing when these girls obviously would have already had some sort of adequate fitness gear they could have worn to film, but also completely taking advantage to increase sales by selling these girls a dream that will never happen under shreddy
2) she’s made so many videos and posts about brands not paying influencers. I see her calling out brands for not paying Flora allll the time
3) the excuse of being a small company isn’t adequate. Don’t operate outside your budget. If you can only afford a certain amount of ambassadors then only create contracts within your capabilities

This to me is a clear tactic by grace as she’s aware of her much so many girls idolise her. So hearing that she has chosen them in particular to work with her companies, they would obviously do everything to produce high quality content including purchasing more from her companies. To not even be reimbursed for their labour is ridiculous.

these girls have gotten a follow from me, they deserve support. I truly hope that they get they get paid what they deserve and get to work with more ethical brands in the future

Grace, you only specialise at masters and PhD level, stop trying to equate your undergraduate degree to a PhD
Private education and institutions like oxford just teach you how to blow smoke up your own arse. Because she’s got that posh entitled twang to her voice as well she just gets away with it

I did a business degree and I can’t imagine ever having the audacity to turn up to an interview saying I specialise in; marketing, finance, HR, operations, management, sales, economics and ethics. She is something else

She can play piano and she was in a choir when she was younger, that gave her a small scholarship when she went to Oxford I believe.
Yeah, also according to her linkedin, she did violin at the royal academy of music (but we've never seen her play the violin).

Sorry but what she said on her story about how she will make an exception to support women owned fast fashion is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

She has built this entire brand on being 'anti fast fashion' but now says because she likes the owner of this brand she will support? I'd hardly say it's very women supporting considering the vast majority of people working in these sweatshops in awful conditions producing these garments are women themselves. In fact I'm pretty sure I've even heard Grace herself say that on a few occasions?

If she wanted to shop at houseofcb and had never preached at regular people for using similar brands it's whatever but to give that excuse makes absolutely no sense. Her hypocrisy isn't even slightly subtle at this point and she's just tangling herself up in this web of half-truths and half-formed opinions. Like I've seen people say before on here, this is the absolute embodiment of rich white girl 'feminism'
Lmao it's like if someone was like "omg i totally just want to support Asian-owned brands" and went straight to forever21 and shein. Yeah honestly at this point, she's starting to gross me out. She's performative af, her allyship is tokenistic, and she is a giant hypocrite.

It's all neoliberal, white feminist Sheryl Sandberg 'Lean In' bullshit which fails to take into account which women it is, in the first place, that are able to set foot in the boardroom. All that having more female CEOs accomplishes, without instating structural change, is optics. And this isn't even considering the fact that feminism has always operated as a critique of the dominant order (here, capitalism). Rather than opposing capitalism, this type of feminism restores faith in it; a way to promise potential detractors that feminism can exist in fundamentally unequal spaces without posing threat to them. As Nancy Fraser writes, "feminism unwittingly became the handmaiden of capitalism," epitomised by wealthy, white women like Grace. Essentially this is feminism neutered of its radical potential, serving instead to further entrench the structural inequities brought around by patriarchal capitalism.

Makes sense as I remember seeing that shit rag (Lean In) of a book on one of her shelves.
YES!!!!!! It's the same in politics - when women think that resisting gender inequalities = merely occupying high-ranking positions that men have always occupied only to perpetuate the conditions, which men created (easiest example being perpetuating war) rather than absolutely actively dismantling patriarchy (actively ending war to end the war crime of rape by soldiers). Some major white female (and women of color who aspire to be seen as equal to their white counterparts) politicians in the US and UK are easily war criminals. The "white" part of this feminism comes in because white women only see their oppression in tunnel vision because they have never had to experience being discriminated or oppressed for their skin color. So "oppression" is limited to not being able to occupy seats of power or capital rank - ideas of successes and achievements, which were created and conditioned by men. And because they are white / western, the concept of feminism and the struggle for it becomes centered around their experiences.

This is basically Grace. And her minions also think her idea of feminism is the end all be all and worst, they don't allow space for debate for other women who are unhappy and want to challenge their stereotypical comfort zone of thin, white, rich females boss babe squad.

Does anyone else get this impression that Grace behaves and speaks differently around black people to either fit in/get their approval? Not sure how to describe it, but there's something about the way she acts that doesn't sit right
She accessorises her life with black culture when it suits her and that’s on that!

I haven't even listened to it and it already sounds cringe.

"I'm literally trying to offer someone a job right now that's why I'm being so hectic" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: yeah m done
Other highlights for me included when she said something like (For context she was talking about when she used to work with unethical brands) “If I’m working with a brand then I’d make them hundreds of thousands of pounds”. Grace come on you’re not that famous. You tagging a £5 PLT bralette wasn’t quite this much of a storm for companies 😅

Her degree is apparently now music and politics, and she feels equipped to be a ceo from it because she’s used to writing 10,000 words a week on subjects she knows nothing about

“you can’t tell someone they’rea bad person if they can’t afford sustainable leggings“

But my absolute favourite “if you’re making activewear it has to be high performance. You can’t just say it is, then rips in one wear because that’s really not sustainable at all”😳😳😳😳

Honestly I am so disappointed. For someone who has advocated for fair pay for influencers in the past, it is astonishing that she is treating her creators like this. They are coming forward with genuine complaints, that grace herself has spoken about in the past!

Something being legal and in line with someone’s contract DOES NOT MAKE IT ETHICAL. Paying creators a 3% commission IS NOT ETHICAL! Manipulating creators into making you hours of content and then never paying them IS NOT ETHICAL!!! Legal? Yes. Ethical? No way in hell.

Grace... please just listen to what your creators are saying. You have advocated for young women like this in the past and you yourself were in their position once. Stop accusing people of lying and just listen to what they have to say.

Had to copy and paste this message 😂 i wanted to see if theyll respond to it
The end bit 'false allegations are unfair to our team, especially when they lead to targeted abuse'

So what she's saying is that she's threatening legal action because people calling her a hypocrite has hurt her little feelings...

It's also so funny to me that she thinks calling out a CEO for unethical practices is serious 'targeted abuse', when just a couple of days ago her reaction to the actual targeted abuse of Jewish people was 'meh convo over cba to talk about it anymore guys'

If you're not with her, you're against her! That's the grace we love to see lol.

The pink font on pink background is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, like putting lipstick on a lawsuit pig. Poor girls, whatever happened to women supporting women?!? I guess that goes out the window when you're not supporting the right woman, aka grace. Also who the hell calls their own strategy a "creator scheme" - like what even???? I guess it's appropriate if they're scheming content out of creators without payment.

Honestly, the biggest thing in ALL of this drama that sticks out to me is these "3 businesses" are not actually 3 independent businesses. Shreddy wants their creators to use b_nd and wear tala. Tala/b_nd are silent right now on socials, even though they aren't even involved!! Must be employee overlap and all the focus is going towards shreddy. Bet those employees aren't getting paid 3x the "competitive" salary for handling 3 businesses.

If that's the case I genuinely wonder how much they've been offering Love Islanders (who at this point I'm sure are no longer working with Shreddy). It must be something more unless the Love Islanders were doing some favours or whatever to friends.
Funny you should say that, Olivia Bowen from LI was doing Shreddy during lockdown, she even took over their insta page for the day was sharing updates on her progress etc.

She's in the last few days shared a video of her struggling to get her jeans on as lockdown has done her dirty... something doesn't quite add up there for me!

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that being an influencer or whatever they call themself is the most difficult/harder job ever BUT, nowadays, it's a job and it should be treated like that.
They have still provided a service/content to someone that they've put hard work and effort into and should be treated and compensated appropriately for it

Odds on that Grace was waiting for everyone from genflow to go to bed so that she could get rowdy and defensive on the insta comments

in summary:
lockdown easing so grace hopped off on holiday with her pal mon, disguised as a visit to her mum
she got called out on her lack of transparency and honesty about her sustainability within her brand and life in general and continued as per to gaslight those who dared call her out
she continued to be a boss babe ceo basically doing fuck all for the companies it turns out she doesn’t even own or do most of the work for (genflow)
she brought out 54 more ranges in her sustainable clothing line despite continual producing of new clothing being one of the biggest damagers to the environment
she also carried on writing 20000 word dissertation replies on twitter and liking mocking responses shared by her minions to anyone who disagrees

anything i’ve missed or got wrong please yall feel free to add

Reading the essay excerpts on her story really made the facade fall away for me. Like many people from wealthy backgrounds, she has been afforded the opportunity to associate herself with all of these 'prestigious' institutions, like pinning badges to her chest, but the actual education she has received is fairly mediocre. Her written communication skills are quite poor, using clichés, mixing formal and informal language, with poor sentence structure and grammar. Plus the content itself is not as ground breaking or revolutionary as it appears she believes it to be - the concept of our generation rejecting the idea of having one solitary career has been spoken and written about in excess over the past years. This whole essay is a classic result of someone having a thought and being ignorant and arrogant enough to believe they must be the first to have had it.

I actually think, in general, it's beyond a joke people would message you her and ask why she's not talking about it. She's a lifestyle /fitness/whatever her latest choice is influencer, why would she need to say anything? But on the other hand she set precedent for herself talking about black lives matter or other issues before so it's weird she's being that defensive. But really I don't think influencers should need to be using their platforms for anything like that or being forced to do that. Thought the whole influencers black lives matter posts were extremely performative and they always will be. Find this whole argument on Grace's twitter ridiculous from both sides. Sick of this whole wokeness everywhere.

Because she's set a precedence. Her whole brand and online personality has included "this whole wokeness", and to a normal follower she is very very quick to jump and call people out, or make comments about other people and their attitudes, or send indirect tweets etc. But she seems to have taken offence to having been asked to speak up about anti semitism. Whether you agree or not, and I do in part agree with a lot of what you have said, it's an odd hill to die on moaning about jewish people sending you DM's asking you to speak up, when she's always been one of the first people to 'speak up' on almost every other issue, whether she does a good job of it or not.

I also partly think a lot of the offence caused is how she's chosen to handle the situation. Very few other influencers have spoken publicly, but nobody is publicly slating them. Yet somehow she's managed to take the horrific comments made about jewish people, and turned it into an online rant about how it affects HER. She literally could have not even opened the DM's if it was that much of an issue to her to be expected to call out every horrible thing that happens to a minority group online, yet in the very same breath her whole online personality is that of a woke "qween". So I completely understand why some people are annoyed. She's the worst possible kind of online influencer, as she's so dense, and her whole worldview has been centred around her own needs (as a white, wealthy woman), she misses the base entirely when it comes to situations like this.

Anyone seen her latest insta story about “self doubt” about launching her brand etc 😂 all she does is say what she’d like to do and a company does it for her... successful because her names on it, hardly challenging for her while she’s on her 10th holiday of the year!
I’m glad she’s come to terms with her imposter syndrome (despite going to schools which breed you to think you’re superior), I don’t actually mind paying lots of money for ripped leggings now as long as she feels they’re good enough!! Maybe in her next manifestation journal she can manifest some good quality products and a good workout app
