Did anyone catch the Festive Special last night? A treat at an hour and half.

I really enjoyed it.

Verdicts on the newbies. I like Simon and is sister. They can stay. Ron and his wife can go. They try too hard. Why are The Bags family still there?

Do the Geordie girls have the biggest glasses and mugs in the world?

i did find it funny that they were all pretending to be watching love actually for the first time

i really like simon and his sister, but ron and his wife just blend into the various other older couples they have - they bring nothing new and are completely unnatural on camera.

i usually love jenny and lee but god they were annoying last night. always good to see tristan, twaine and tremaine getting a solid amount of airtime though!

(the reveal a few weeks back that their sister is called “mandy” still has me tristan, twaine, tremaine…….. and mandy. gonna assume it’s a nickname!)

I agree. As I was typing my earlier post I was thinking of one night where he told Daniel that when they were out for a meal earlier, all he could see was Daniel's nose hair. Absolute dickhead comment.

And then he proceeded to insist on removing the hair. All for airtime of course, but I thought what a nasty creep he was to say something like that, in the first place.

There was another occasion where Daniel actually said something back to Stephen, I can’t remember if it was this weeks episode or last weeks, and you could see Stephen was SEETHING, really vicious look on his face. He can dish it out but he can’t take it! He ‘turned’ so quickly it was actually quite shocking!

with everyone who’s sat with him on the couch he’s a nasty bastard. There is a difference between banter and being a nasty vicious prick!

I think he is a nice guy and Stephen is not very nice to him at times. Seems to like belittling him.

Glad I'm not the only one to have noticed this. Daniel always seems to be sweet towards Stephen, so it's sad that he rarely seems to reciprocate the kindness. Of course, we don't have the full picture and their offscreen relationship might be great (some people just have an abrasive sense of humour) but it doesn't come across on TV. Worth noting that his ex-bf/former Gogglebox co-star, Chris, said as much when he left the show.

Wasn't that duck thing technically illegal? I thought animal stuff came under the top "extreme" category where it's illegal even to watch, not just possess/make. Maybe Apple/C4 get away with it because it was implied as animal-on-human rather than the other way around, and also it was a talking duck so obviously fantasy. Even so I hope C4 haven't made us all technically criminals now

Said a lot about how produced and fake the show is that they got the rights for No Time To Die. It's only just come out on DVD, not broadcast on TV, but had it on Gogglebox.

I thought you could buy it on amazon prime etc? Lee and Jenny need to go they are annoying as hell now with their fakeness.

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck then it is a……potential partner according to those warped producers.

This is interesting, Sometimes when you see a gang of boy ducks without partners, I look at their bills because of this -
The duck's bill color, which can range from a drab olive green to a bright, raincoat yellow, is a sexually selected characteristic, meaning females prefer males with brighter bills, making these traits more likely to be passed on to offspring.

Some poor old sods are lacking in the bright bill department.

Despite the delinquent ones, I still love ducks. Especially when I think they are laughing!
