There is no way this would be happening in a hospice. And I'm actually shocked that the hospital appear to reacting in this way. A family friend lost their child to leukaemia and truthfully those final days were horrific for all of them but the only "treatment" was pain management and the family were all warned what to expect.

I wonder if they are using the GFM to fund a solicitor who is forcing these actions, because I can't honestly see any other reason for them.

Have you seen the bridal PA website Amy has set up?! Wonder where she's had the money to set up a business that has a Mayfair office from?! It's so wrong. People gave money to Dilly not to set her up in business. I've no doubt it'll be another dodgy one like all of Oz's companies.

I think they are exceptionally dodgy and shady - they have been away on holidays, still wear designer clothes and live a luxury lifestyle….now she’s setting up her own business, yet when their dear little boy passed she immediately was asking for people to send money to help them with bills!!!! It’s disgraceful. They certainly never needed help with the bills. You can’t just set up a business with no money, nor go out buying brand new designer clothes and eat out at fancy restaurants all the time. Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy.

I find it hard to believe that Amy has organised/is funding all of the refurb from donations people have given. Might just be me not understanding who is involved but surely it takes a pyramid of people to get this done/approved within the NHS, with her close to the bottom, and then the upkeep will need to be maintained as well.
Was shocked to see that they are asking for even money, just as she is trying to kickstart her bridal company as well...

How about sell your 100k car, downsize your beside-the-thames-penthouse, stop flying to New York and Dubai, don't ask strangers to pay your bills and fund the project yourself.

I think Dillans parents are enjoying the attention. I can’t imagine wanting anyone to see my child in so much distress and pain. I wouldn’t be sharing anything of the sort with anyone especially strangers.

I was waiting for this post.... totally expected it from her! Your sons body isn't even cold yet and your asking for 50k!
You spent £40k or even more on treatments that wouldn't and hasn't worked on your son!(yes I know you try everything but after so many treatments and nothing has changed then you'd stop them especially when she knew he hated them too) You put your own feelings before that of your son's pain!

How many families are out there going or about to go through the same heartbreak and in debt, having time of unpaid and having to pay for a funeral but they will do it by managing what little funds they have or borrow of family/friends or a friend may set up a GFM (probably the first one they have done) for a little amount......

I'm sorry but £50k is a lot for what is needed (yes change the total to 50k if it got near that amount but don't start with it)! She's just got money grabber written all over her! Why should people donate to buy her a holiday! Yes she's lost her son but many hundreds of other people have and haven't been able to away.....

Sorry for the rant but it's the lowest of the low begging for money!

Same here. I 100% expected her to do this. She is going to keep it going, similar to Cashley Cain and Safiyya Vorajee.

I obviously would not wish the pain of losing a child on my worst enemy. But there's no denying that some people see it as a way to make money for their luxury lifestyle.

There needs to be a crackdown on the setting up of GoFundMe for everything and anything, imo. It's become altogether too easy for just about anyone to take money, in this way, often probably from those who can least afford to give it.

They’re saying the money is for bills because Dilly’s dad is self employed. Yet, he managed to afford time off for their holidays! I appreciate they wanted to give Dillan an experience but they did multiple holidays, gifted ones of course.

Those photos are heartbreaking and they should be private. Out of respect for Dillan, I won’t be clicking on his profile.

Not for this reason.
Even if someone fundraised for one thing then spent it on something else, there seems to be no consequences. I honestly don’t know why it’s not considered fraud. There must be a disclaimer that means if you donate money then the recipient can use it for what they want. This is why I really hate GFM.

It really needs to be regulated

Nothing will ever convince me otherwise that these two aren't a pair of shameless grifters. I'm desperately sorry for the loss of their son, my heart aches for them but their behaviour throughout has been nothing shy of grabby and entirely self motivated. What sort of parent raises kids in a flat like that with no garden/outdoor space and with the potential of falling off balconies/out of windows ffs.

Amy and Oz have had so much money and handouts since their son is ill, they’ve become accustomed to ‘free money’ they can’t stop! After this project it will be something else, there’s still no mention of any money that’s left over from the treatment. As for Oz if he’s got time to go running he’s got time to go back to work.

Do people have no self awareness anymore? That message is just bloody weird. You might have donated £30 but you don’t know the girl. You don’t need monthly updates or to send her cards and gifts.

It's like they are confusing it with when you sponsor/'adopt' an animal and get monthly updates/newsletters..

Nobody needs to know any more about this poor girl! Let her live the rest of her life privately.
