Has anyone seen any of the criticism Billy NoMates apparently got?
Literally seen nothing negative beyond the screenshots I posted earlier in the thread.

It’s worked though. Kudos to her PR team at Stay Golden.

Glastonbury will be the weekend of 21st as it’s the nearest weekend to the Summer Solstice which is Thursday 20th. I know this as I am local to the festival and that’s always how the date is decided.
You must have moved there after 2019 when they held it 26th June-1st July 😂

I’m also local and I’ve been going for over 30yrs, always last full weekend in June, has been that way since it become an annual event in 1980s

except the bin posters say see you in 366 days so it’ll be the last weekend of June

I’ve lived here since 1969. I was there from 1990 to 2000 every year as my dad had 2 catering units and we always worked. I didn’t take much notice of dates. How local are you ? Would you mind if I Pmd you I want an opinion on something Glastonbury related?

Ive heard that Arctic Monkeys were much better last night than at Glastonbury.
I watched Blondie today, Debbie Harry's vocals were grim.
Editors were fab!

Absolute PR stunt. It's worked though, got way more people knowing about her than would have otherwise. Just a shame for simps like Billy Bragg who got taken in as well.

I see the BBC are getting some heat for not bothering to show Sophie Ellis Bextor. Good, that was criminal of them to not bring us her, especially when she's one of their occasional presenters FFS. What an absolute piss poor excuse though, basically "our cameramen were all in bed". Should have told me, I'd have gone and pointed one of the many cameras they already had in place at her? We didn't need amazingly high production values, just one or two cameras and the audio feed from the stage mixing desk would have done.

Any secret tips on how to get tickets? I've tried so many times and never have any luck 😭
Become one of the workers. Get to go in on the Monday/Tuesday and see the place before the public come and duck it all up, Tuesday is amazing seeing the incredible amounts of food being delivered everywhere. Get dedicated camping far more spacious than the public areas, dedicated toilets and showers, and access to the dedicated crew bars including a brilliant one that overlooks Arcadia. Once you've crewed you can't go back to public tickets 🤣

Any recommendations for ways to work at Glasto? Not keen to volunteer for Oxfam

I was away this weekend when it was on but what happened with Lana Del Rey? Can't find her set on i player. I then saw that she was late or something? Was it just not filmed?

Billy Bragg is an imbecile. The second I saw that he had bleated his support for Billy NoMates was the second I realised that she was a whiny grifter.

Aside from the Sophie Ellis Bextor rooster-up, I don’t think they showed much/anything from the acoustic stage. Shame as I would have loved to see Toyah & Robert Fripp, and especially Rickie Lee Jones ☹

She was 30 mins late and thought she wouldn’t be cut off but she was so she only played about 3/4. According to BBC Lana’s team have only agreed to release two songs on iPlayer but it was shown live. If you have tiktok there’s a lot of clips on there!

I met a family who were on the clean up crew, so had the whole festival free then had to spend 3 days after working to clear the site of every piece of debris but they said it was by referral to get on it.

They said the best general team to be on is WaterAid, but you could be assigned to a toilet cleaning team if you do that! That said there’s an article in the guardian talking about being a toilet cleaner and the seem quite positive about the experience.

Here’s all the volunteer roles
