I was showing my kids videos on YouTube of Pyramid and it was pretty brutal! Not a chance would it pass these days

Today’s the day I’m off to see the live tour! Has anyone been and how was it?

I read that the usual means of selecting the fastest runner up for the semis wasn’t in fact the fastest but the contenders involved were subject to a Duel off. Except none of the contenders fell, so Mark Clattenberg picked the two contenders who would qualify. This was from people who were there. Seems a bit misleading to not mention that but it is the BBC…

In some ways it’s probably fairer Josh got back through because in his heat he was super close so probably would have qualified anyhow.

I fully understand that this is just the process and how it’s always been done. But there has to be a better way.
I didn't know, was just hoping to help you set expectations for you kid if they were sky high :)
Start charging them would be the only way to guarantee seeing recordings.
I guess when it's something popular they could charge, but then there is the expectation that you're paying to see a polished show, which it definitely isn't. When it's free it creates the demand they need to fill seats, and there is no come back if someone is upset they paid for it. You'd have to charge far more than a tenner pp to ensure it's filled up.

I managed to watch the first 3 episodes. I was shocked during powerball there were no rules, it was mayhem and great to watch. The eliminater is the same set up as the UK one but when they are climbing the rope the whole set moves and looks a lot harder. The travelator is brutal it's longer and they are struggling with it. It was a great watch!

Oh, the third series was the weakest of the lot. I think the unimaginative event choices, riggory and a lot of injuries hampered it. I think the fact that both male finalists didn’t win all their previous rounds sums it up really.

I hope The Sun’s article is incorrect about there only being one new event in the new series.

I wonder how close the heats and then subsequent rounds are filmed. There definitely seemed to be some fatigue in tonight’s show
I'm guessing because the series if filmed over a few days/weeks? I'd be knackered too, but then I get tired just getting up and going to the fridge.
