you know what's funny? when someone brings up these points of views on twitter to extremists all I see as a response is "transphobic" but they never offer solutions, they never propose a compromise or offer ideas they just deny, and insult people.

Ugh Jessica, i don’t think she believes she is transgender at all, is using it to try and get women to touch her bits; first waxers then gynaecologists. And is just sitting back loving all the attention on twitter. And the tampon obsession with teenager girls - pweirdo!

Ok so I'm not saying everyone is like this but have a deep dive on twitter and you'll be shocked by how many people need biology classes. There are idiots advocating that transwomen get periods too and endometriosis (what I have) isn't a natal-woman only disease.

Was one of my words changed on the previous post?

I don’t know his back story... what’s he all about?
He is, terrifyingly, a GP. But also a well known trans rights activist and massive misogynist (the two often go hand in hand, as we know). He has a habit of harassing and doxxing women but, unfortunately, the GMC don’t seem to be interested in hauling him up in front of a fitness to practice hearing, even though they should.

Hi
So I commented on this thread the other day about the you tube video of the woman saying it was a good watch and thank you for putting it up here to view..Fist of all I joined this thread so I could learn more and to get a better understanding and to hear different views as I don’t know anyone or arnt aware of any trans people in my life, I also want to apologise in advance to anyone I may upset or anger if I say anything that i don’t understand and it comes across rude I’m just speaking from my level of intelligence on the trans community, So here goes...I was shocked at the whole women arnt the only people that bleed statement. I thought it was true that only women have periods then I then quickly realised it is very wrong and women are not the only people to bleed, female to male trans people bleed and non-binary people also, then it got me thinking on the whole subject of not all women bleed this is also true me being one of them, I have the coil the hormones on the coil I have stop me from having a period, my mum is going thru menopause she too doesn’t bleed my MIL has had a hysterectomy and so on...my other thoughts were that I do think biological sex is there isn’t it, you can’t take it away and you can’t deny it..it’s just there so the people who don’t agree with that and there are people who don’t agree with it and argue the fact I just can’t see where their point is coming from. But I also think that if your wanting to transition to whatever sex you feel you should be then that is your right as a human being to do that it’s no one’s business to say different. I also want to say im a 34 yr old woman who has 4 children a male and 3 females...I think it’s important to say that as my next point is something where people may find me offensive and if that is the case please tell me why and give me a better understanding...I do find the thought of the small minority and I stress small minority of men who will say they are trans women just so they can come into women’s personal open spaces ie changing rooms toilets etc to be able to chance a way to exploit and abuse. I do think this will happen and having 3 daughters who range in age from teenage who is more aware of things going on around her to my younger two who thinks the world is just all lovely and arnt so aware of the dangers they could be in, it does scare me from that point of view. I want all women to be able to use these space’s even the mate to female that haven’t fully transitioned as they are still women, but as I said above I’m very wary of the male to female trans that arnt genuine I know this is going back to basic terms and I do apologise for this but who I’m meaning by this when I say the not so genuine is men who are claiming to be trans women but arnt going thru the transition that clearly still look masculine and are not going to be going down the lines of transitioning and it will be obvious who these men are...looks wise as well as human intuition will tell you this..as I said this comment might anger people but I’m just putting it in these basic terms as I can’t think of another way to describe this..I hope that point does make sense and I’m not coming across as rude and narrow minded...also there was a comment on feeling feminine..I don’t really feel feminine either, I’ve got long past shoulder length hair I wear make up I always get my fingernails and toenails shellacked I get my brows done I’m actually a beauty therapist and I shop in the women’s section I like kath kidston and Laura Ashley etc...But I also like the football and the Grand Prix and going with my partner and son fishing...but I still don’t feel feminine...I don’t understand what that feeling is? does that sound stupid? I guess I am feminine from how I’ve just described my self but I don’t get what it is meant to feel like..I went abit off there but it’s just so I can sort of reply to the person who said they didn’t feel feminine but where female...also don’t know if anyone has seen pose before but that programme is what started making me aware more of the difficulties that trans people have always faced and this is why I’m pleased I’ve found this thread...As I said I hope I don’t come across rude and offensive I’m not trying to be I just wanted to point my point across and see if I can get some answers about my few questions...thank you to anyone who read all this

I’m new to this as well. Previously I didn’t under stand the problem - of course trans women should be able to use the ladies - it would be embarrassing for them to use the men’s etc.
However, doing some research I learnt how the system is being abused and women’s rights are being compromised.
I do support genuine trans people.
However there are a growing number of male cross dressers taking advantage of these new rights - using their male privilege to acquire female rights a the expense of females. There is a difference between trans people and cross dressers. One is a mental health condition and the other is a fetish.
I’m also concerned about the number of young females going through female to male transition. I am concerned that a whole generation of female lesbians are being trans away - it’s a form of gay conversion.
apologise in advance for wording / grammar (dyslexia).

Can't help but wonder how anyone in the distant past, medieval times etc, would have lived if they felt they were in the wrong body. No surgery or hormone therapy available then! Guess they just sucked it up and got on with it.

Exactly!! So many in the world have no access to basic health care.
One man told me today that Men have more privilege than women but women have more privilege than trans women. Trans women are men!!!
Cannot bare the double speak!!!

Repeating the mantra "trans women are women" over and over doesn't make it true. If they were the same as women, there would be no need for the trans prefix. Trans women are not women, they're trans women. If trans women are women, does that mean women are trans women? It makes no sense

@BostonFernGreen yeah, sorry, I meant Hilary Swank! I keep getting her and Natalie Portman mixed up 🤣

I don’t mind the whole “people who have periods/menstruate” thing, tbh. I like that it includes trans men, some of them still have periods.

I have a friend who is a trans man and he completely passes as a bloke. I can’t imagine him being forced to use women’s toilets but thankfully it isn’t an issue for him because he’s usually fine using men’s and no one is aware that he is biologically female. He is the one who told me all about truscum and tucute, it’s baffling! Basically, my friend is considered truscum, or transmed, because he believes that to be trans, you have to experience gender dysphoria and desire for transition (it isn’t always possible to achieve). I agree with him, tbh. I knew him for a few years before he came out as trans, and I can see that being his true self has helped him loads, psychologically. He had top surgery as he used to have large breasts which was distressing for him. I don’t think he plans to have bottom surgery because the procedure is so complicated. But yeah, he is so much happier and he doesn’t feel like he’s lying to himself anymore, and I am so proud of him. There’s a poster here who has a trans son, you are awesome and I’m sure your son appreciates you so much. ❤
