Apparently Wes Streeting has intervened in the case of the Darlington nurses and ordered Darlington Memorial Hospital to provide them with their own changing room.

A senior NHS England official visited Darlington Memorial Hospital unannounced last week and described the changing facilities for female staff as ‘inadequate’.

The official apologised to one of the Darlington nurses, promising to act ‘with speed’ by providing male, female and gender-neutral changing rooms, adding: ‘We want you to feel comfortable and safe.’

However, although very appreciative of the gesture, the nurses have pledged not to stop until ‘this action is extended urgently to female workers across the NHS without any unnecessary delay’.

I am glad to see this but sad and angry too at what those women were put through.
Imagine they were told that creep of a man calling himself Rose, would 'educate' them. 🤬 All of these things just should not have happened, and I hope a lot of people are sweating right now about their past actions and words being brought to light over cases like this. 🤬

Our favourite fox-killing grifter is proceeding with his challenge against the EHRC guidelines. His statement is as legally weak and ridiculous as you'd imagine:

The substance of his case seems to be that that trans folk are being told by their employers that they have to use different changing rooms and toilets and this, apparently, has left some of them so stressed that they are unable to continue working....... Further, they feel that htey can no longer access public places because of 'dodgy policies' around toilet use. I hope he's aware that 'dodgy policies' is most definitely not a legal term.:D

The piece de resistance of his argument is the very dubious claim that the EHRC has a legal obligation to promote a world which is 'safe and kind' to trans folk which is, apparently, all that those who love them want.......As I read this, I found myself humming 'We Are The World' by USA for Africa - which, incidentally, is a far superior song to 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' - but I digress.:D

I have to say that his approach is one of the most imaginative and nonsensical things that I have ever read. #BeKind is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a legal argument. I really am beginning to wonder if Maugham is a genuine lawyer - maybe he's just self-identifying as one😂
Can't wait to see this binned as "without merit". Given his embarassing track record of lost cases, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to him, yet he persists.

Mr Mice has just asked why it is that they are showing themselves naked from the waist up, rather than from the waist down, while asking the world the same question - ie "MAN?"
That reminds me of something I've been wondering for a while, with this whole "I'm whatever gender I tell you I am" business...
In all these so called progressive countries (🙄 ) where the above is upheld, when will it cease to be illegal for women to be topless?!?!
Because it IS still deemed unlawful and indecent in many Western and some European countries for women to walk around topless or god forbid flash a nipple!
Can't they just start declaring themselves to be "men" thus avoiding and circumventing any prosecution?
And although I hate that I do feel uncomfortable seeing other women's breasts or nipples, why should WE have to cover up?
I think what I'm trying to talk about here is a nuanced issue and hopefully I'm making sense???

Don't know about cancelled but I've been told that Portsmouth's event (it was the UK's host city this year) was a washout with torrential rain/thunder & lightning. Seems the weather gods are Terfs! 👍
And/Or Mother Nature has had enough of delusional people bleeping around with the way she intended things to be!👏😄

I couldn't think of a reason - it's got us both totally flummoxed as you can imagine. Can't think why they wouldn't want their lady rooster'n'balls on show . . ., 🤭
From this interview on YouTube, Alan Baker (aka Sarah Jane baker) I think is basically saying they wanted to get arrested as that would prove they are women as it's illegal for women to get their breast out in public (not men) ..

if it's age restricted it's the latest vid on YouTube channel Wesley Winter and starts at 13:57..
I've tried to make the link start at that point but the whole vid is an eye opener..

Look at the absolute state of this bunch. Again, is it any wonder we don’t want them anywhere near us.
"What do we want?"
"Trans rights"
"You've got them"
"Oh, ok, sorry to have been any bother, we'll head home then. Apologies for the noise"

Ugh that coward Nick Frost was apparently targeted by trans activists and has given in to the bullies, bleeping b🤬

".....after sharing the exciting announcement on Instagram, Nick revealed he was forced to turn off the comments on the post due to being swamped with criticism for collaborating with JK Rowling.

The famous author, who is also serving as an executive producer of the new series, has become a vocal presence in the transgender debate.

Distancing himself from Rowling's trans views, Nick told the Observer: 'She's allowed her opinion and I'm allowed mine. They just don't align in any way, shape of form."

" Health Secretary Wes Streeting has intervened, ordering Darlington Memorial Hospital to give the women their own room.

One of them, Bethany Hutchison, said they ‘hugely appreciate’ the action ‘to restore our safety and dignity in the workplace in line with the law’.

And she said the nurses would not ‘stop until this action is extended urgently to female workers across the NHS without any unnecessary delay’. "

I'm glad the Court Case is still going ahead .......
This & Nurse Sandie Peggie's Legal Case will bury all this rubbish once & for all....
That's good for them. Although it's far too little, far too late and doesn't absolve the Trust of the discrimination they have showed towards them. I bet they thought this would go away now. I'm glad they're continuing, because God knows where else it's happening and Nurses are unable to take action.

He doesn't care if he loses.

He gets paid anyway and the crowdfunding has raised mucho cashos and IMO he will continue to rant on about this nonsense until the money runs out. And I suspect that he pays himself more than minimum wage.

You've missed this corker:

"Despite turning off interaction with fans, the publication asked Nick if he believes the debate may overshadow the new series.
He added: ' I don't know but maybe it shouldn't blow over? We shouldn't just hope it will go away because if makes it easier maybe we should educate ourselves.' "

So disappointed in Nick Frost. He used to be one of my chubby crushes before he lost weight and (to me) sex appeal, but this has just put the lid on it. Wanker.

All these people raking in the cash from Rowling and happily stabbing her in the back while doing so are unbelievably pathetic. I hope people are paying attention.

Exactly. They never stand on their principles where money is concerned. We don't see any of them saying - "Begone JKR. I totally abominate your transphobic views and refuse to be part of your bigotry!"

Nope - all we hear is "Where do I sign? Give me the cash. I think she's awful but I still want to profit by being associated with her."

Pathetic hypocritical holes.

He definitely should educate himself... on basic biology. Gobshite.

The non binary stuff still persists though, FFS

I wonder if some 'trans', spotting the recent backlash will flock to the non binary identity as a 'middle ground' 🤷‍♀️🙄 like a way of still saying they are not men or women without blatantly saying they are trans. I still think there will be mileage in the 'i am neither sex' category because then they can still mutilate themselves and parody womanhood or manhood.

"Agreed to be considered eligible for the award ceremony's gendered category"

How very magnanimous of her! We are soooo grateful.

Any reason why no-one suggested her for the men's section of the gendered category? I mean, if "they're" non-binary, it's 6 and two 3's isn't it?

Did they not want to risk a woman taking an award from a male?

Which category was he in though?
