Just over 10% of currently serving MPs are LGBTQ according to Wikipedia, I do think the LGB community is genuinely realising what's been happening for the past 10 years, it's just the Ts and the Qs howling now.

(Sidenote: why on earth are they classifying Lorna Slater as LGBTQ?? She's married to a perfectly lovely bloke called Gordon and certainly wasn't claiming to be bi when I knew her, so I suppose she must be a Q.)

Irish senator reading list of genders - 72 genders, took 25 minutes - she did it so that it would have to be recorded. Also, the number of genders is not limited to this list

I do feel sad and angry that LGB people have been used as collateral for the TQ+cult. There has been a rise in homophobia in recent years and I am 100% convinced that there is a direct correlation with the TQ pigging backing onto LGB movements/events and people’s rising intolerance for TQ antics spilling over into homophobia because when they see that bloody progress flag, they associate LGB as part of the movement pushing gender ideology

Majority of us (including you) in the LGB thread has said such from the very beginning, predicting and warning it would be this way when the collateral hit big time.

Don't get me wrong I think he is a TERF (and I'm very pleased he's in the position he's in within government) But he saw which way the wind was blowing and realised it was getting "safer" for him to speak the truth. If it hadn't been as safe for him to do so, I'm not convinced he'd have changed his tune

Oh yeah, that's possible - but statistically the vast majority of MP's/government would not agree with trans ideology but they are not coming out and saying that.
Most people - normal folk and MPs - don't say anything about their GC views in their work life and just avoid the issue, I am not a WS fan btw, but I am so pleased he has publicly spoken out.

Apparently Wes Streeting has intervened in the case of the Darlington nurses and ordered Darlington Memorial Hospital to provide them with their own changing room.

A senior NHS England official visited Darlington Memorial Hospital unannounced last week and described the changing facilities for female staff as ‘inadequate’.

The official apologised to one of the Darlington nurses, promising to act ‘with speed’ by providing male, female and gender-neutral changing rooms, adding: ‘We want you to feel comfortable and safe.’

However, although very appreciative of the gesture, the nurses have pledged not to stop until ‘this action is extended urgently to female workers across the NHS without any unnecessary delay’.

I thought the same thing 'educate yourself ' often backfires on them. Well, tbh most of what they do tends to do that. The bunny rescue being a perfect example.

Maybe thats why Biles doesn’t give a tit about men in women’s sports? It wouldn’t happen in gymnastics because no male is going to be able to compete as woman with any shred of competence. It would be like that lumpy male ballerina from a while back- not remotely plausible.

Yep it's a bleeping joke. How can a piece of legislation being written in such a wishy washy manner? I've always warned of this at work, that theoretically John could show up one day, say the magic words "I'm a lady now" and be covered by the PC of gender reassignment. I know they didn't expect the explosion in numbers of special ladies showing up but how the duck did this bull get pushed through? (I mean I know it's because men are entitled and get what they want, but who thought this was a good idea?)

It has been mentioned before but the Hansard transcription of the lords debate about the GRA is illuminating there were several lords who argued everything that has come to pass would be possible and therefore the legislation shouldn’t go forward.

I think it is also illuminating that the HoL insisted that hereditary titles and estates etc still had to go to biological males - so a female firstborn child cannot identify into a title - however a firstborn son who identifies as female can still inherit.

Funny, that.
