I work for NHS in an Admin role. A couple of years ago rainbow lanyards were rolled out, before this they had this scheme of staff pledging to be an LGBTQA+ 'buddy' - basically that you treat everyone the same even though it is kinda obvious that you would as it is your jobI was in a meeting at work last week and 4 of the people there were proudly displaying the progress flag by wearing pin badges and rainbow lanyards.
It's nauseating, I had to avert my eyes to concentrate on what was being said.
I have no problem with LGB so I diid the course and happily wore my badge until the trans juggernaut started taking over and the rainbow motif became synonymous with trans rights. So I threw the badge away, I never wore the rainbow lanyard as it was already associated with trans rights when it was brought out.
