I wonder if some 'trans', spotting the recent backlash will flock to the non binary identity as a 'middle ground'like a way of still saying they are not men or women without blatantly saying they are trans. I still think there will be mileage in the 'i am neither sex' category because then they can still mutilate themselves and parody womanhood or manhood.

I’ve been reading Cosmopolitan magazine for years on and off. It went downhill a while ago but I like something mindless for just skimming throug in the evening. I won’t bother anymore as thanks to their Pride month feature I was greeted with several more or less naked men claiming be woman or something, I didn’t bother reading. The whole section seemed to only concern trans, nothing about homosexuality and bisexuality. Closed it, won’t download an issue again.
CSD was in my town also this weekend and their chosen slogan from this year roughly translates to „we are queer, we are loud, you are taking our right away“. Which rights? Unsure, there wasn’t any answer to that. And even my bf, who is not exactly terf-y was asking whether they are again protesting for so-called rights that never belonged to them anyway. Guess he has had enough of the bull as well now.

I think Non-binary is going to be a label more men flock to in the rising backlash against the 'transwomen' trend, because it's an area they can claim and still parody women.

But really despite the fuss about being the first 'out nonbinary' to win, he's just another bloke winning an award. At least it was the 'actor' category this time, but next time there's still be some NB insisting on the female actress category.
The issue is now, if LGB people now did things specific to them, they are now labeled as some kind of bigot - for not including Trans and the other alphabet hangers on.
So the whole LGB cause has been devalued and pushed aside for others who feel they are more important.
I highly doubt I'll ever attend a pride event ever again.
Until the LGB community wake up and understand they've been played for fools, and Pride goes back to a day of celebrations - then quite frankly I'm not interested.

That's exactly what women are doing now. We're seeing it with the Darlington nurses, the Peggie case and more women feeling able to speak out.
I noticed an influx of new posters on this thread when the SC ruling was made, women who previously felt they couldn't even comment on an anonymous forum in case they got backlash or shunned by other Tattlers.
It's a tricky time for women, we don't have the male privilege allowing us to just tell people to duck off any time we like. Growing up we are constantly told to be gentle, be nice, be small and don't make waves. It's difficult for those of us brought up like this to break that mindset.
Recently it seems that the only ones who claim to be "actresses" are TW actors.
But I admit I did make the assumption that the award was in a female category, so I may be wrong.

Absolutely. This is why I try and stick my head above the parapet a bit, even on social media and stuff. I've often said to someone spouting the usual TRA nonsense, "I'm not responding to you because I want to, or think I can, change your mind. I'm responding to you so other women know they're not alone when they think you're full of tit."
At work, I'm surprised I haven't been spoken to to be honest. I think it's only by virtue of mostly working from home and having a boss who couldn't give a tit that I haven't been. It's not so much that I'm principled (I mean, I try to be but I'm human) as much as I'm congenitally unable to keep my trap shut

It's never "be kind" to women either, is it? We exist to aborb everyone's bull and are still told to be kind even when basic humanity is being denied us.
Also, I don't think it's kind to lie. I'm not going to tell a man I think he's a woman when it's not true. Decent people tell the truth even when it's difficult. "Kindness" in this context is just pure cowardice. Doing the nice, easy thing and doing the right thing are not the same.
