My sister plays and she has to provide ID either in the form of her birth certificate or passport.

Are these changed by transpeople? I know in Scotland they can apply for a gender certificate but is the change reflected on either of those forms of ID?

She also has to complete a medical form which is sent to insurers and so I'm assuming it would be declared then as well.

I get what you mean though that someone could just not mention it essentially but I'm hoping you can't just change your birth certificate and get away with that. That seems insane

Scottish birth certificates require a GRC to be reissued with the changed sex marker, but all the Passport Office needs is a letter from your doctor or medical consultant confirming the change is likely(!!!!!!!) to be permanent.

I'm sure GenderGP has been doing a roaring trade in those letters.

There's a video that did the rounds a few years ago, which annoyingly I can't find at the moment, but hopefully someone here will remember it and have a link - someone made a compilation of photographs taken by AGP men in women's facilities. I thought I saw it on Mr Menno's Twitter account, but I've gone back through his media and can't spot it.

Anyone got a link? I think it was made around the time that bloke infiltrated a women's refuge and was taking pictures of himself in the shared bathroom with an erection and sharing them on social media.

Some of these men might well be "harmless" but I do not consent to being part of their sexual fantasies.

I remember it - it was Mr Menno "In the Ladies", I think. I'll see if I can find it.

That open letter - it emphasises how actors have a warped idea of how important they really are. Ricky Gervais was right, most of them never studied anything except acting and have general knowledge and common sense of goldfish. Their opinions are nothing special. That they want to condemn the Supreme Court of the UK for clarifying the law - nonsensical. It’s what the law is and was and it was passed by the actual government not imagined in an AMA on Reddit. JKR could recommend Warner Bros do some recasting, but I don’t think she’s that petty. She can go back on her yacht and count her royalties from their acting labour without lifting a finger.

This is refreshing to hear, welcome. It makes a change from people (often men) coming on to these threads to tell us we’re all bigots and that we are the ones who need to educate ourselves.

Nodding head here. I think that is a key issue with the handmaidens.

I always think if I mention it that others are thinking so what, hey, I'm proud of my body, I don't care. Pity about you, that you're not as confident as me. Which is totally beside the point. It's not up to her or any other handmaiden to give away the privacy and security that women fought hard for.

Ugh. I hope reality slaps all of them hard in the face one of these days.

Clear and unequivocal backing for the SC ruling from Shabana Mahmood. Good to see and a tad surprising - I might be wrong but I seem to recall her being on the other side? In any event, seems clear that Labour are going to stand by the ruling. I'm sure many of them are secretly delighted that they don't have to make any decisions and can just put it on the SC:
