Nodding head here. I think that is a key issue with the handmaidens.

I always think if I mention it that others are thinking so what, hey, I'm proud of my body, I don't care. Pity about you, that you're not as confident as me. Which is totally beside the point. It's not up to her or any other handmaiden to give away the privacy and security that women fought hard for.

Ugh. I hope reality slaps all of them hard in the face one of these days.
I've been thinking about this. She may feel confident talking about periods to boys of her age, but that's very different from being in a public loo, on her own, dealing with maybe an early period, or a very heavy flow, and having a sleezy 50 year old AGP hanging around.

I don’t always agree with Matt Walsh but this takedown of Helen Webberley is excellent.

My friends love The Guilty Feminist podcast, I always thought it was a load of rit.
"I'm a feminist, but I clap like a bleeping sealion when a man running a grape crisis centre says women should reframe their trauma" DF-W can get in the bleeping bin

(For those who don't know, at the beginning of the Guilty Feminist podcast, they start by saying tit like "I'm a feminist but I wear lipstick" or "I'm a feminist but I like it when men treat me like tit")

Sorry if I’m repeating a previous post but I see Robert De Niro is the latest celebrity to have a ‘trans’ son. His son is taking hormones and is now his daughter. He apparently loves all his 7 kids the same so it’s all fine.

The list of names on that 'letter' makes me roar. What a bunch of nomarks!
I thought the same. I could just see the judges having a meeting about it.

<Lord Hodge, white as a sheet, pointing with trembling finger> - "Have you seen the signatories"

<Other judges gasp>

<One speaks in a quavering voice> - I . . . I recognise that name . . . Wasn't he third spear carrier at Batley Rep when they did "Exit pursued by a BARE", a daring re-think of Shakespeare with full trans cast last year? They played to an audience of tens.

<Lord Hodge> - Indeed. The rain forced people inside and then the door jammed and they couldn't get out until after the production.

< A second quavering voice> - Then we must re-think our entire judgement. If people of such eminence and influence are against us, who can stand?

<All voices echo> - Who can stand . . . ?

<Lord Hodge> - I'll send my clerk for pizza. It's going to be a long night.

<All others, with one voice> - NO ANCHOVIES!

Clear and unequivocal backing for the SC ruling from Shabana Mahmood. Good to see and a tad surprising - I might be wrong but I seem to recall her being on the other side? In any event, seems clear that Labour are going to stand by the ruling. I'm sure many of them are secretly delighted that they don't have to make any decisions and can just put it on the SC:

This is a good quote from her:

“They obviously provided the legal clarity in their legal decision, which is exactly their job. I think it’s disappointing since then that some individuals have sought to question the validity of the Supreme Court or cast aspersions, which is absolutely unacceptable.

“I think they’ve done their job and I think they’ve sought to do it in a way that recognises that we’re talking about a balance of rights, but sought to give confidence to a minority community that they still have protections.”
I think she’s always been a Terf, but only felt emboldened to speak out more recently. This is from a year ago

I prostrate myself. I am unworthy to share your forum.

I see De Niro has got a trans kid, probably pushed into as a way to be more anti Trump. even though there's stories of De Niro abusing the legal system in NY by getting top people to sort legal issues out in his favour

I get the impression De Niro was going cuckoo in his older age. This doesn't surprise me. The children have most likely been indulged all of their lives.
