It’s so sad. He was a founder of Stonewall (I know they have moved so far away from what they originally stood for). He should be standing up for Rosie. He should remember what it feels like to be attacked for being a member of a marginalised group (being gay or female) or standing up for something you believe in (gay rights or women’s rights).

What’s happening?

Yesterday, I got really cross at my wife because she said I’m always ranting. I told her that there’s nowhere safe to rant other than here or at her. How is that ok? How is it ok that if a lesbian wanted to date but didn’t want male genitalia shoved in her face there was nowhere for her to go anymore? How would she feel if she was suddenly on her own and was looking for companionship as an older lesbian, now that the options that were available 22 years ago (before we got together) have all gone? She had no response to that. I am so scared for young, unsure gay women. The world must be terrifying.

I don’t think people realise how wide the impacts are of teens being addicted to their phones. A few more years of this and generations will start losing basic social skills like talking to people instead of checking an app:
It took me a lot of willpower and effort this past year to stop scrolling socials so much and pick up a bloody book. I'm finally loving reading again and look forward to picking a book up when I get home from work rather than scrolling for 2 hours before dinner. I check here, I check my emails, have 5 mins quick check of Instagram and then the news and that's it. I have read 28 books this year so far (alright, some I listened to but it involves me putting my phone away). Before this year, I probably only read 1 book a year! I always used to love reading as a teen all my 20s was spent scrolling instead. I cringe at all the wasted hours in my 20s I spent on scrolling when I could have read or done other hobbies. Teenagers especially need to put their phones down.

Vote for Labour or libdems and why not have these hard working shift nurses sacked and imprisoned.

There they will watch videos on how to behave in the future, when they are released.

Don't waste that vote, when you go.

Remember these Women.

And your Daughters & Grandaughters.

But trans women can buy a manufactured vagina & vice versa. So what exactly does Keir believe?
He doesn't believe anything.

This is what I hate the most about present day politics. None of them have any sincere belief in anything they do. When I look back at leaders of the past, even Thatcher, who in many ways I detest, when she spoke I believe that she genuinely believed what she was saying, even if I am vehemently opposed to most of it. She had the courage of her convictions in that regard, where I can think of few present day politicians with any convictions at all.

The toilets thing was always brought up with a claim that it’s so innocuous and everyone is silly for worrying. “Oh so you really care where someone pees???” Of course men (unless they understand the issue) often don’t care, men by and large aren’t afraid of peeing by the side of the road either, but of course woman do care and lack of access to sanitary facilities is a feminist issue. It has always been a simple matter of respecting a female only space and boundaries or challenging it, and the push has been to challenge it, and women framed as silly and daft for caring.

“Well, since we used your toilets then you won’t mind if we dominate your sports and make the word ‘mother’ meaningless??” was always where we are going because part of this comes from an intense rage from some at the idea women have anything of their own at all.

And then in some cases there are even actively sinister reasons why males want to invade female spaces. The fact is that any decent man is mortified at the thought of upsetting or making afraid or uncomfortable women or especially young girls and will go out of his way to avoid doing so.
---
I know one who did so at the age of 48. And yes, she’s always been very much “I’m not like other girls”.

It’s literally her entire personality. Every single topic of conversation has to somehow be related back to her being ‘non-binary’.
---

It’s just so boring. I’m a lesbian, I don’t wear makeup except once a year at the Christmas party, I am in a male-dominated profession, I sometimes put a man’s shirt on if I feel like it, I truly believe I “present” and “act” more non-binary than most people who claim it if we want to play the silly game, but I have just finished my period and have lived my entire existence on this planet and will die absolutely female. “Non-binary” people are demonstrably uncomfortable with their (plural not singular) gender non-conformity, not embracing it.

Sadiq Khan is a misogynist. He doesn’t just not care about women, he actively enjoys talking down to them (as seen in his London mayor meetings) and degrading them (this campaign). London has degenerated under his leadership. Women are less safe.
I've said this on a previous thread, but he does social media posts for the special day, week or month of every group - except for International Women's Day. I commented on a post of his to mention this, and got numerous responses from men - "are you sure?", "bet you haven't even checked to see" etc. Well, yes, I had checked and that's how I knew, but of course, men had to tell me I was wrong

I know two women who have come out as non binary in their 30s. They’re both straight and attention seeking.

It’s the ultimate ‘not like the other girls’.

One thing I struggle to understand is how someone can have their actual birth certificate changed. Surely this shouldn't be allowed? It's patently an untruth

So Labour now wants to meet with JK Rowling:

'Rachel Reeves said the party would be “really happy” to “give her assurances” over its plans to change the process through which people can legally change gender.

Speaking in Scotland, Reeves said protection for women-only spaces would “absolutely stay”, adding: “We’re not going to be changing anything around biological sex … we’re really happy to talk to JK Rowling to give her assurances about that.”'

Starmer also seeing how the land lies makes one of his usual u-turns:

'Starmer echoed Reeves’s desire for the party to have a meeting with Rowling.

“I respect her,” he said of the author. “She has made some really important points. I’d welcome that discussion.'

So, Labour, and Starmer in particular, refuse to even acknowledge let alone apologise to Rosie Duffield, but are rushing to give assurances to an influential world famous author. They are so cynical.

JK Rowling says she's happy to meet with Labour if they first meet up with Keep Prisons Single Sex, Lesbian Labour, Women’s Right’s Network, Women’s Place UK and LGB Alliance. She's making it clear that she doesn't want a meeting for PR/window dressing purposes but for Labour to finally recognise and understand the rights that they are undermining and that we are trying to preserve. Given the previous statements of the likes of Lammy, Creasy, Rayner, Nandy etal, I think this is still meaningless.

I can’t even begin to state how much I hate the whole concept of gender. Biological sex is real and is real for a purpose. The whole idea in the 21st century that women should behave and look one way and men another and anyone not fitting these “ideals” is trans or non binary is ridiculous. As previously stayed up thread is anyone totally binary? I always preferred toy cars and Lego as a child back in the day, but no one batted an eyelid. I hated dolls. As an adult, I‘m not the slightest bit interested in fashion and beauty. I have a mix of interests, some more male dominated, others more typically female, yet, never, ever have i felt I must be a man. I’m not, nor would I want to be.
Of Course, so much of this comes down to misogyny and taking away women’s rights. It’s terrifying how women are being manipulated to “be kind” to creepy weird blokes. Men who at one time would have been rightly called out for being inappropriate and in women only spaces are now applauded as stunning and brave rather than the perverts that they are. Meanwhile we are meant to be submissive and silent. It’s as far from progressive as it can be.

The shop where the Brighton LWS women tried to take refuge has issued a statement

View attachment 3015594
Love, support and solidarity to a baying mob of threatening, aggressive males attacking peacefully protesting women. Do the general public have any idea how awful these MEN behave? Or do they imagine Hailey Cropper from Coronation Street when they think of TIM, not violent, woman loathing creepy bullies.

Has anyone been following what happened to the women who attended a Let Women Speak rally in Brighton yesterday? Whether you agree with KJK’s activism or not, women should be able to gather and speak without being so intimidated and hassled that they fear for their safety. The police did a terrible job of keeping the TRAs a safe distance from the women, who were completely surrounded by TRAs. Afterwards, they were followed from the event by TRAs who were screaming at them so they tried to take refuge inside a shop which turned out to be run by a TRA who didn’t want them in there. Eventually, the police turned up and the women had to be personally protected by the police while they were put into a police van for their own safety and driven away.

One of the TRAs was none other than violent kidnapper and murderer Sarah Jane Baker (remember him from last year arrested for inciting violence against women? https://www.standard.co.uk/news/cri...charge-court-pride-rally-london-b1101371.html) currently out on licence (again). He was one of the ones who followed the women to the shop. Police did nothing to stop the intimidation and said the TRAs had a right to freedom of speech.

ETA, it’s in the second half of the second tweet video once there’s no police around that you can see the full-scale intimidation of the women by a bunch of men. Bastards.

The recent Tory gender stuff was probably discussed in the last thread but I really struggle to keep up sorry! Just wanted to share this tweet that really infuriated me!

It's not just about where people piss is it!? Reducing it to that to make those of us who want to protect our spaces (and not just in toilets!) is so manipulative. And also, it is possibe to care about all those issues as well as where people piss protecting women and girls at the same time.
Even if it was only about toilets... So bloody what?! I don't want a man in the cubicle next to me. I don't want a man in there if my daughter wants to go in on her own. I don't want a fucking man in the women's toilets, so men, kindly fuck off.

Sometimes my morbid curiosity gets the better of me and I check up on our old friend Gabbie Richards (the one who got a thrill posting himself in the dull women’s club). I’ve screenshotted just some of the oddbods who have reacted to his posts (they’re all public profiles so I haven’t cropped the names out). TW- don’t look if you’re easily offended or have recently eaten.

It’s like a directory of AGPs. I even found our favourite Green Party member and Proud Lesbian Melissa Poulton amongst the melange!
For a palate cleanser, these also reacted 😅

Most of these look like they belong to the 50-70 age group...what is happening to men in later life that makes them don a wig and a cardigan? Is it because they don't feel sexy as men anymore, or don't appeal to women anymore? Does it give them a thrill to have a new lease of life at that age? My Dad had an affair last year and put it down to 'carpe diem' and he's in that age category. Are these AGP's 'carpe diem'ing? Is it for attention? Do they perhaps feel invisible or something, or, have they finally reached a time when society is cheering this shit on so they are loud and proud about it now?

I know we have teen boys and 20something men LARPing as women but when it comes to these 50-70 something aged men, why do they suddenly upturn their lives to dress like a pantomime dame? Have they always secretly wanted to, or has something changed in their life by that point?

Fascinating and terrifying in equal measure. No doubt some of these men have watched decades of porn by that point but it does seem to be a trend with that age group particularly, that I think the notion of doing something different (carpe diem) where they get praise for it is a motivating factor.

No offence but a lot of these blokes' profile pictures show them to be men who have let themselves go, appearance wise, but somehow donning a wig and dressing like their great aunt makes them feel special.

Anyway, none of them pass, they all look like they stink of BO and desperation and I don't want any of them in the female toilets than you very much.

well he’s not gonna be fuckin found if people are looking for a woman with a bob
There's absolutely nothing offensive about stating that *this person* is missing, that they like to be known as Sarah, and they may be wearing clothing that would be worn by women. What is offensive is insisting that this missing and apparently vulnerable man is, in fact a woman when he clearly isn't. And to make matters worse, the Met police (who all seem to know what a woman is when they want to sexually harass one) then threaten anyone who doesn't go along with their gaslighting.
Ffs, you couldn't make it up! 🙄
