Very good point! If the NHS collapses one day then UK 'trans' patients will be looking at high insurance premiums for the lifelong upkeep for a condition they have brought upon themselves. That might seem unlikely now but the world could dramatically change. If there was a world war or some other sort of disaster. The pharmaceutical companies could go out of business. When you're young you don't think this will happen but business conglomerates come and go, they can be world dominating one minute and then go out of business.
I always wonder about these celebrities who have teeth veneers. They are relying on the the fact that they are rich and young but that might change by the time they're 50 and the veneers fall out. What happens if they've gone broke by then and can't afford the upkeep?

Yep, the way that the movement has pivoted repeatedly is quite ridiculous really. I was also team trans back in the early 2010s when I was at university - I thought I was non binary and bought into all of it, was even on the council of the uni LGBT society. We had a meeting called by a pair of textbook TRA girls (non binary but basically just teenagers with pink hair and piercings) who were extraordinarily offended that the society was "LGBT+" because that reduced non binary people to a symbol and meant they weren't important. They insisted that non binary had nothing to do with trans (which was strictly binary) and their evidence was a tumblr post which mostly referred to two-spirit ideas, which is native American (they were both white girls at a university in the midlands). They were handled with kid gloves by the council at the time because everyone tiptoed around trying to never offend anybody, but they didn't get their movement passed.BIB when I first was on the side of the TRAs so around 2016ish they were saying TWAW/TMAM but also thereās a difference between sex and gender so sort of acknowledging that trans women were born male and commonly using AMAB/AFAB but now from what I see they seem to have veered very much away from that thinking and TW seem to be increasingly saying theyāre female. (Not helped by GRCs eg Himdia having a passport that says heās female when itās literally impossible).
So yeah if I wasnāt a massive TERF now and still on their side but said something along the lines of the 2016 era way of thinking they would probably pile on me. AMAB/AFAB seems to be more used to beinclusive
