You say that this thread has a lot of great points and that the discussions taking place are important, so you must recognise the impact this ideology is having on women, same sex attracted people and children. You’re a guy, right? What I’ve found is that a lot of men go along with the whole gender ideology and pronouns thing because, well, let’s be honest, it won’t really affect you too much. And also there’s a view that not to go along with it is to stand in the way of progress or is somehow bigoted or ‘right wing’.

There are a plethora of political persuasions on here, and speaking for myself, I am (historically) left of Labour. But having spent more than 10 years watching women increasingly losing their safe spaces, being told that not accepting any bloke that says he’s a woman in a women’s changing room makes me a bigot and seeing books designed for pre-schoolers depict women with mastectomy scars as men, I can’t go along with this lie that people can change sex. And using made up or incorrect (biologically) pronouns would make me complicit in that lie, so I won’t do it. And also, I don’t agree with compelled speech. This is a really good article on pronouns which sets out the position of a lot of people concerned by gender ideology. I don’t know whether you’ve ever come across it?

People are born to perceive differences in the sexes for a reason; to try and coerce someone into believing (or saying they believe) something other that what they see is gaslighting. I don’t care what people wear; anyone can be as butch or as femme as they like, but it doesn’t make them the opposite sex.

You sound like you appreciate some of the points made on this thread, so why not stick around for a bit and have a discussion?
What a brilliant post!

Britney is only “nuts” as she was coerced and controlled by the patriarchal and misogynistic music/entertainment industry from the time she could speak, drugged by her dad and others for over a decade in her adult life, exploited by her mother and sister and basically any person she ever trusted
Yeah... love how that reply to my point doubled down on the misogynist language, then in the same post the user continued to complain about *our* attitudes and language here. Britney is having a terrible time because of the things she's gone through, I don't really think calling anyone "nuts" is appropriate either, regardless.

ETA: I'm more than happy to take criticism in general, just not from hypocrites, @Sir Lancelot :)

View attachment 2667988Running a thread predicting deaths is fine but HOW DARE WE CRITICISE AGPs 🤣🙃 I can’t with him
Was just coming here to post these as I saw them…

Interestingly enough this is the most supportive thread i’ve ever posted on, I read Gemma’s thread but don’t post on there as I find most of the people on that thread to be quite catty and nasty for little reason. I’ve never had that thought on here except for when he who shall not be named (not the death pool guy) was a regular poster and even then plenty of you lovely lot would support me.

Wasn't it protocol for the Queen to have a toilet built / designated for her own use at places where there was a royal visit? The obvious solution is for this person to identify as the Monarch.
Her Majesty visited our work once but we were told not to bother making any tea, nor allocating a loo etc.
Royals on ' work' never drink , eat or use the loo on site , we were informed

It does irritate me when someone refers to, say, Elliot Page as 'she' BUT it really shouldn't matter that much to me in the context of a random chat on Tattle.
I’d love to ask, with absolutely no hidden agenda, why that annoys you. Like you say, you are never going to meet these celebs so you have no obligation to prevent them from being misgendered.

Is it just because you’re so used to the gasps of outrage when a celeb comes out as trans and people don’t immediately accept that - taking EP as an example - this five foot tall, seven stone individual is male, and has always been a man, even when they starred in Juno?

I used to feel the pressure to use a trans person’s pronouns even when just talking about them on the internet. The flaming you’d get and knowing that you’d be considered a total bigot were enough.

But then I started to struggle. I would work hard to NOT use male pronouns for a female (and vice versa). I would say “they” or use their name instead.

Now I just don’t care. What changed? Finding communities of gender critical people, like here, who empower each other to stop kowtowing to this madness. I call EP “Ellen” and “she/her” because it’s about so much more than pronouns. No one can change sex. Ellen Page is mentally ill. She needs help, not a double mastectomy and ab implants, but it’s too late for that.

Men can’t be women. There’s no such thing as non-binary. This is all a crazy fad at best, a dangerous cult at worst.

I know a TIF who's just started dating another TIF (both were "non-binary" for a while before deciding they were men) and was talking about it in our friend circle's WhatsApp group because some of the others know her girlfriend. She was saying that they had to have a serious discussion about whether a relationship would work out, partly because they live in separate US states and also because of the prejudice they would face as gay men ... OK, you might face prejudice as gay/bi women but ffs you know nothing about being gay men, or being a man in general

I can't stop thinking about this - do they have a special carriage with a toilet in case of emergencies?!

Weirdly I sort of know the answer to this. They will have planned where to stop in a bladder emergency weeks and months in advance...police stations for example. In the event it's needed, the security guys go ahead and make sure all is good for the monarch to go pee.

Totally unbiased and not pushing an agenda at all 🤔

‘The RuPaul’s Drag Race star said they were “honoured and thrilled” to be joining the show in a “major role”.’

Meanwhile, David Tennant has been sporting this T shirt on his Instagram. He is a heterosexual man so the t shirt can only be referring to his ‘non binary’ 10 year old. Captured beyond help.

Amazing thanks - I'm glad someone knew the answer 🤣 how embarrassing if they had to leave for a wee break.

There are lots of videos on Youtube discussing the demise of the Dr Who Franchise, apparently a lot of the fans are not happy with how downhill it has gone in recent years. I liked the Ecclestone-Tennant-Smith era, after that I lost touch with it, but tuned in for the odd one with Jodie in. She’s a good actress but very let down by the writing I think. I refuse to watch it now. Apparently Disney has funded Dr Who recently so this might explain why Dr Who is going so hard on TRA agenda to the point all the characters and plots are going to be focussed on that rather than stuff about travel/time/adventure/aliens etc. Tennant is such a try-hard.
