Just read this fantastic review of controversial Australian feminist Clementine Ford's new book, I Don't: The Case Against Marriage that includes some great call-outs of her hypocrisy around hating men but loving trans. Good read 
(Especially so for anyone like me who used to be a Clem fan but has waned over time - this perfectly articulates a lot of my feelings I've struggled to put a finger on!)

Oh my - over on threads they are currently transing Kurt Cobain and gloating about the ‘transphobes losing their tit. I had Charles Clymer blocked on Twitter but X keeps putting threads in my Instagram and I need to quit it in the new year becuase it’s annoying me. Just because he wore feminine clothes and has long hair and it’s all ‘he would have loved being called trans’. He died before most of these activists were born, they need to leave dead people alone.
Yes, I used to follow her and quite like her stance on some things but the ‘TERF free zone’ rubbish repels me. I have 2 pairs of flowette period pants and they are good, the ones for heavier days are a bit 'crinkly', like not super noisy but I feel like I can hear them when I walk, like a thin nappyChecked out flowette and while it's great they use the word woman the way they skirt around telling exactly what materials they use is very annoying. I wish these companies were less waffly. Just give me the specs not the product lifestory

They are easy to use, easy to wash and seem to still be in good condition after a few months' wears.I'd imagine the period pants industry would be the most trans identified period business because it would help keep up the illusion. I'm guessing a TiM wouldn't be able to wear a tampon, you aren't meant to use them when you aren't menstruating and it could be harmful, they could use a sanitary towel but it would be immediately obvious every time they went to the bathroom that they didn't need it as they are all white usually, and so period pants could be worn to keep the illusion up as they seem to mostly be black and you could just pretend you had a period. So the actual need for sanitary wear would be for women, and that would include TiFs, but the TiMs need some sort of dress up period stuff, and the related "I need a hot water bottle" for my aches and pains

I particularly disliked ‘Is it any surprise that so many men now want to be women? Who would be a man in such a world?’ And apparently that’s due to, in the most part “hurt, lonely, overburdened, or vulnerable women” who have been “whipped into a frenzy of fear and loathing for men” by Clementine.
So it’s the fault of women than men want to be women

FFS. Again, women are being told to “educate themselves” and to be an “empathetic ally”. It’s the same as “Be kind” to me. Sorry but I have zero sympathy for them. Real women experiencing real periods just have to get on with it. Plus having to put up with sneery comments about it being “The time of the month” If we’re not all sweetness and light. I don’t want to be an ally to anyones fetishes thanks very much and I don’t need to educate myself on biology either. I’m glad I’m post menopausal as for one, I hated having periods and for two, I don’t have to look for products that are advertised for purpose rather than being aimed

There is something very offensive in the way they insist that people were trans who aren’t around to speak for themselves. I find it really disrespectful , especially as they are all outraged at any instance of a trans person being ‘misgendered’ after they die. I’ve seen people on Twitter claiming that Joan of Arc was trans! More generally, I think the way they go around trying to recruit others, dead or alive, is a really bad look. On one hand they strongly deny that trans is a social contagion and post their little graphs about left handedness anytime it comes up, but they’re so quick to gloat about how many of their friends they’ve converted (“cracked their egg”
) as if it’s a competition. I’ve seen people say stuff like “if you’ve ever for one moment wondered what it would be like to be the opposite sex, then you’re trans, because cis people never think about things like that” so their bar for who is trans is also very low and it’s no wonder impressionable young people who are already feeling a bit insecure get swept up into it.It is.
