Decided to watch series 2 of Irvine Welsh's "Crime" on catch-up last night (watched series 1 recently). Cue episode one, few minutes in and the scenario switches to a lecture/class room of students, adult teacher with long hair and wearing a dress. "That's a man", I tell hubby. The actor's dialogue then begins on the subject of "gender/non-binary/when I had my operation". I immediately declare "Not watching this trans sh#t!" and switch channel.
I did exactly the same. 'Every man has a woman inside' I almost threw the remote at the telly. I was really looking forward to it as well.

Apparently Joyfriend is the new term for non binary boyfriends/girlfriends.

wonder who makes this stuff up.
I think the word "joy" is doing some heavy lifting there, most NB's are miserable as sin. They seem to spend the vast majority of their time sitting in their bedrooms, making Tik Tok videos about how everyone misgenders them and how terrible it makes them feel *big sigh*

Am gutted about the Irvine Walsh thing, I've had the hots for Dougray Scott for years, he looks proper dishevelled and sexy in it too 😭😭😭

I had a good experience yesterday. I went to register at a new health centre (not in the UK) and was asked if I preferred to see a male or female doctor!
Mine has an online booking system and lists male/female next to each nurse and doctor. I just hope they're going off the right definition of male and female! The fact it's there - and there's also a sign in reception about female chaperones on request - shows they know why it's needed. The problem is that when you think transwomen are women, then you also think there's no problem with a TIM doctor or nurse listed as female. Like I say, really hope they have their definitions correct because if anyone should, a medic should.

My GP does an online triage. I had forgotten to share this when I saw it recently. They had this message up.

“We know acknowledging biological sex to help identify you is not ideal” FFS 🙄

This sounds like a litigation (or multiple) waiting to happen. It's life and death. Stay away from Dr's folks if you want to stay alive.

As usual, the headline mentions the woman first, then states that this appears to be a "murder/suicide", as though she is the prime suspect. We can almost guarantee that the husband has done the shooting, why does the Press insist on reporting these crimes in this way? There will no doubt be a later story about how she was "planning to leave him", or had been seeing someone else, which obviously makes it her fault that he murdered her. 😠

Actually I guess it might not specifically be my GP surgery but the platform they use which is this one.

Just quoting myself again, but I found this on the accurx FAQ 🤦🏼‍♀️

Might need to provide them the feedback they have asked for!

Unfortunately, I am unable to select a preference for a particular gender as there is no such bleeping thing. HTH.

I've been looking at more period pants. Wuka are out because they have partnered with Mermaids - ugh. They are also doing some SEO thing so if you search for Love Luna (another period pant brand) you get a google result with the headline 'Love Luna' that takes you to the Wuka site.

So according to that person on the BG thread, I am illogical and idiotic because I think that people are trying to frame the murder as a hate crime to suit their political agenda... and this is the person who accused me of being "over emotive", still bringing up my comments despite my last comment to them being 4 hours ago
