What the ffffffuck?

I hate grand displays of child sexuality that are encouraged by the parents. He’s ten FFS.
I'm thinking back to when I was ten, twenty-odd years ago. I had no interest in boys, all I wanted to do was ride my pony and read books. Why are (some) parents so keen to sexualize their young children? How has this become normalized?

Their pronouns are they/them. It's basic respect.

You say that they: "occupies cultural space / space in the perception of others as a lesbian without being one (which annoys me)". Firstly, their sexuality has nothing to do with you. Secondly, Mae has no control over how others perceived them, nor should they care. Maybe get annoyed about things that actually concern you?
Maybe take your own advice luv

Not being a woman makes Semenya not a woman. There is no “more or less.” He isn’t a woman with high testosterone, he isn’t a woman with an intersex condition. He is, as has been proven, a man with an intersex condition.

Of course, now “women can have penises,” roll eyes… but at the same time we have often casually defined being a woman or female by “not having a penis” in some childish way (rather than having a uterus for example), and the Sports authorities are quite fixated on hormone levels. In fact, we should be defining female by biology. Caster does not have XX chromosomes, Caster is not female and not a woman. Caster knows this full well.

A lot of activism in this area relies on ignorance of the public, this is now changing. People hear “trans woman” and think it’s someone who has had SRS, when 90%+ of MtF do not have the surgery. That’s now intact males end up in women’s prisons. People hear of trans men who very very much are definitely men and always were men but they’re just going to have a baby which isn’t going to trigger them at all, and they do now wonder about what they’re being told about the trans story. It just doesn’t stack up.

People hear about Caster’s testosterone levels and think they’re like Michael Phelps’s big feet or that a woman with naturally high testosterone is being hounded. But Caster isn’t a woman. Caster has XY chromosomes and that should be the end of the matter, I don’t care how Caster was socialised.

We wouldn’t need to keep banging on about this if Caster would just accept reality and compete in his proper sex (but he wouldn’t get medals then). In the same way I wouldn’t get so bothered about anyone “living their truth” if it wasn’t demanded of me that i suscribe to their truth and inconvenience myself — that’s one thing, but putting women in danger or at a disadvantage for male feelings, many of which are fetish-based anyway, the answer is NO.

That tshirt is a disturbing crock of shit. And both parents should be ashamed. I have a 10 year old, if I bought him a T-shirt that said “I fancy girls” and displayed it on social media I would rightly be told it was massively inappropriate

The fact that they ordered it and bought it for him is gross. I used to like DT but no thanks. Not any more

Imagine if everyone wore t-shirts stating their proclivities.

'Have you met the new accountant?'
'No, which one is she?'
'She's over there wearing the t-shirt that says 'woof woof I like dogging''

Like, do we need to know this stuff? No!

What he says about being free. I feel like being trans is the opposite of being free. You are conforming to what the ‘other’ sex is meant to be. To me it’s much more free to just be who you are and accept it. And not feel constrained by stereotypes or labels. By claiming you are trans you are tying yourself to one version of a person. It’s weird how we will say that young boys can wear nail polish if they want but if a girl claims to be a ‘trans boy’ she falls into all the ‘boy’ stereotypes. It’s so restrictive and I don’t understand this whole ‘be your authentic self’ thing as it goes against that.

I just looked at Georgia Tennant's Instagram. Picture of all the family, in the TARDIS, with her 'non-binary' 10 year old wearing a t-shirt saying ' let's get this straight, I'm not '.

That poor kid.

Oh, but it's ok, she's blurred out the kids faces.
I am gay. If one of my children came to me at ten years old saying they were anything other than straight, or any kind of trans, I would privately note that I was glad they felt they could tell me, remind and reassure them that I love them and support them always, and then wait to see how they felt a bit later on, without making a big song and dance about any of it, because for goodness’s sake, they’re TEN. Things can change and I’d hate for something I said when I was ten to become something I was held to, something cool for my parents to show off how “forward-thinking they are”, something that was medicalised or broadcast all over the place.

I do not need to know this information about Tennant & Moffett’s child and it should not be in my possession. The parents have put it there. I am deeply unimpressed.

PS: Wikipedia tells me Tennant and Moffett met in 2008, incredibly that’s 15 years ago. GM (now 38) would have been 23 and DT (now 52), 37, if my maths serves me correctly. Not the kind of age gap I think often serves the female of the partnership very well.

Hi people. Me again!

I've been reading through the most liked posts here to get more of a sense of people's thoughts and feelings.

I hope you don't mind but I have a few questions (at the risk of sounding naive).

What is a TIM?

Also, is the term TERF offensive to people who have gender critical beliefs? Or does it depend on the individual?

OK, finally, would anyone here describe themselves as transphobic? Or is that a big leap to make from being gender critical.

Thanks to anyone who answers!
TiM is a trans identifying male, ie a man playing at being a woman.
Call me a TERF all you like, I’m not remotely offended. In fact, it’s one of my preferred pronouns.
I’m not transphobic. A phobia is a fear of something, I’m not frightened of TiMs just sickened with the way they are taking every hard fought thing away from women and centring themselves.

India’s in his 50s and claims to be a woman so he shouldn’t be making fun of a demographic that he thinks includes him, should he? He really tells on himself

I was quite upset when I saw her post about having had a non-essential double mastectomy on Instagram.

Always found her quite funny and sharp - but now I can’t see past the fact she’s fallen into the ‘authentic self’ trap with surgery and can’t accept the fact she’s a lesbian with no need to mutilate her body in this way.

She could have carried on with androgynous short hair, sharp clothes and no one would really have cared - but she’s wrecked her body for good with this and she’ll have young, impressionable people looking at her pics and thinking it all looks so cool and easy to do when it’s anything but.

The comments on her post are all the usual ‘stunning and brave’ mob - like she’s the new messiah because she’s cut her body up in the name of being real. In truth, a really good caring therapist would have helped her get to the bottom of her identity issues and steered her away from gender affirmative care. It’s anything but.

This has made me more angry than I thought - apologies for the rant. 😳
BIB You’ve hit the nail on the head, it’s self-mutilation, self-harm. I am astounded that there are surgeons that will do this for people and it’s ok. It’s unnecessary and at best cosmetic (although the results are not pretty). It’s not going to change the fact she’s mentally unwell. Where do we draw the line then? Years ago I nursed a patient who had been sectioned for his own safety because he had delusions his eyes were evil and wanted to destroy them. Would one of these surgeons perform an enucleation for him? He sure as shit was in more mental distress than these women, and would have felt relieved to have it done. He’d attempted suicide because of the feelings he had. Rather than mutilate and blind him, the doctors treated his psychiatric problems. It wasn’t a quick fix like chopping off a pair of boobs but it was what we do for someone with harmful mental delusions- we protect and help them, not encourage them and make a profit from their distress. My mind boggles at the ethics (or lack thereof) involved here.

"Clara's" appointment really annoys me. We're always hearing the government and the science institutions bleating on about attracting women and girls into STEM subjects at school and university, but then they employ a man in womanface as the head of a so-called "equality and diversity" department 🙄. It seems that equality and diversity are only important when it comes to ensuring that men and their sexual fetishes are accommodated at work 😡

Genuinely curious why you’ve bumped a post of mine from more than a week ago? Looking for a post to virtue signal at?

A lesbian is allowed an opinion about someone who has to have it dragged out of them that they’re bisexual (which of course I said in my post is no issue with being, it’s the silly pretending otherwise / being obtuse I take issue with when lesbian visibility is vital) after presenting as a lesbian.

You have no control over which pronouns I use. Maybe get annoyed about things that actually concern you?
Probably didn't think there might actually be lesbians on this thread. 🤣

Totally agree with that. I really struggle to believe that a CHILD has the ability to determine their gender. They should have the freedom to play and explore and be themselves without gender even coming into it.
Think of it another way: no child is born into the wrong body. Not one. No one is born with a gender essence that sometimes goes awry.

Gender is just a set of expectations around the way males and females are supposed to behave and present themselves.

Kids should be allowed to behave and present themselves however they like without being burdened with concepts such as being transgender.

Most gender non conforming kids grow up to be gay. It’s actually homophobic to push them down the trans path, making them “straight” instead of same sex attracted.

Genuinely curious as to why you're purposefully misgendering Mae? Their pronouns are they/them. It's basic respect.

Okay, I know I'm a bit thick but is this not a woman sleeping with man and she becomes pregnant??? She might kid on she's a man (maybe to please her boyfriend) but biology says Nnnoooooo

This reminds me of the queer folk I work with. Straight women in straight relationships but they're "queer" Why do gay people put up with this. For me it's some sort of cultural appropriation!!!

And talking of cultural appropriation, it seems Buffy Sainte Marie isn't Native American but has pretending for years. The actress who picked up Marlon Brando's Oscar was the same.

But!!! Honestly what's the difference between pretending to be a different culture than pretending to be a different gender???
Well pretending to be a another culture is very different from pretending to be another gender. One involves assuming the identity of a traditionally marginalised group and the other involves assuming the identity of a traditionally marginalised group. So obviously very different for ......reasons. So this is why Rachel Dolezal is to be shunned and Susie Eddie Izzard affirmed.

This affects me because I am terrified that soon as a biologically born female (not fucking CIS), I will soon have no rights at all and will not be able to use the word woman without being arrested. You think I'm being OTT? Open your eyes - this is something we all need to fight for - and hard. Graham Linehan is problematic in some ways but I admire him 100% for having the balls to see this shit for what it is early on and not backing down.

Why is it there is a ‘non binary look’ though? Is it because it’s simply a fashion trend? (Make yourself look as rank as you can). We can all spot them a mile off.

Hair must be:
Short
Mullet
‘Wacky’ coloured - pink, blue, green…

Face:
Massive Deidre Barlow glasses preferably with a clear or light coloured frame,
Absolutely no make up but if you do wear it it has to be really extra and ✨out there ✨
Look like your face could do with a good wash 🧼

Clothes:
Giant toddler zibezz
Baggy button up shirts preferably 50’s style
Baggy trousers
Knitted tank tops over shirts

Attitude:
Notice meeeeeee!
Respect my pronouns!
I’m better than everyone!
I’m neither male nor female! (99% of them are female)
I’m the chosen one!
Pick meeeee!

That was fun 😇

PS - I missed out multiple piercings and tattoos. Have I missed anything else?

The UK is extremely safe for trans people. To the point that, for example, between 2008 and 2017, there were more trans murderers (12) than trans murder victims (9) in the UK. None of those 9 deaths were treated as hate crimes.

Source: https://unherd.com/2022/01/the-truth-about-trans-murders/

There’s no evidence of an upturn in murders of trans people since 2017, either.

This is good news — trans people are not the subject of an epidemic of violence here. I’m glad to hear it.

I suggest violence against women by men needs more “days” and “awareness” given the numbers involved.

Lynn Pinches is a bloody hero. She was cheered when she walked off. People see, people know. That bloke that " won" is twice her size, huge shoulders and all the other physical sporting advantages being a man has. Plus, of course, the breathtaking arrogance of the mediocre loser male prevalent in society.
