I've known a couple of people use the term sapiosexual. One man and one woman. The man I will say, would definitely be put off even the most attractive woman if she were dumb and shallow, and I don't think he'd looked into it beyond it being a bit of a buzz word at the time.
The woman however, tried hard to make it a thing and it was embarrassing tbh (she also claims, deadly seriously, to have an IQ of 140). First of all, whilst some of her partners have been perfectly nice, none have ever been above average intelligence.
This is also the same woman, who, after being introduced to one of my male friends, who is incredibly intelligent, kept telling me I definitely should never consider being with him as he wasn't good looking enough for someone who looks like i do and that I should basically only ever consider guys with model looks.
I've also never seen either of then with a conventionally unattractive partner. So whilst I accept its not uncommon to be put off by a lack of intelligence, surely, to claim the term as an actual seuxality you'd have at least once been with someone who would generally not be described as good looking, due to the attraction being to intelligence.

It’s child abuse. It’s also a very narrow and backward way of looking at things. Surely we should be beyond gender stereotypes. Does it matter if boys like what would have traditionally been considered girls toys or vice versa? They’re just toys. Children have curious minds and are just playing. It’s disgusting that parents are wrecking that child’s future by trying to transition them at an age where they don’t understand and can’t speak out. No doubt the parents think they are amazingly open minded and woke.
What’s the obsession with labelling everything? Some people have a definite “type” but surely everyone is entitled to be attracted to whoever they like, and equally uninterested in people where there is no attraction whatsoever whatever the reason. The world has gone crazy.
You can’t fact check these people because they rely on feelings. If they feel there is a trans genocide (because they have told themselves it is so for years) then there is one.

The women’s rights news page on fb has given me the rage. All the handmaidens commenting has literally made me nauseous. There’s a few sensible comments but they’re mostly from men, wtf is that about?! It’s all kicking off if anyone wants to wade in. The thing that is really bothering me is I’m a bit scared to comment rather than just react, after reading about the woman who was hauled into the police station and had her NUFC season ticket confiscated for posting factual GC views online. I'm with you on this. I don't care who others are attracted to, it's not my business. Neither do I consider that the world needs to know about my sex life and who I'm attracted to.
It's persistent levels of narcissism and compelling others to believe in something that I find offensive.

I filled in my staff satisfaction survey today. Apparently it is definitely anonymous so I took a punt and gave feedback that the internal messaging around certain social values is very prescriptive, too frequent, and biased and stifles valid debate. I also said it has nothing to do with our work and that it feels like we are being told what to think. Feck all will happen or change but I did it. Mostly the satisfaction survey boils down to pay and workload grumbles. And then rinse and repeat the next year. Tick box exercise etc.
