I had a miscarriage and it's absolutely the worst experience of my life, my body didn't realise the baby had died so I had to go through a medical termination. Apparently Alison Bailey has quit her job as a barrister following her win against Garden Court Chambers. Her statement:

I have resigned from Garden Court Chambers and notified the Bar Council and the Bar Standards Board that I will retire from practise effective 31 March 2023.
As far as the appeal against Stonewall Diversity Limited is concerned, my change of status, from practising to non-practising barrister, changes nothing. The appeal continues.

Telling a group of people that the world wants to wipe them out is a great idea many of them have untreated mental health problems, are on cross-sex hormones (we don't know the side effects on their brain function) and they're being fed images of weaponry. Great.

It truly is laughable. My 6 year old has been taught about gender identity but he hasn’t had a single lesson regarding Women’s Liberation. The president of America is fawning over some bloke in a dress every opportunity he gets. White men are being celebrated all over the place on IWD even by large brands. Most brands and institutions are captured. Visited Cadbury world and their rit was everywhere
Trains are now safe for intersex people 
who are lumped into the trans umbrella which is insane. Leaders of political parties can no longer describe what a woman is, language is changing in crucial services to be confused and dehumanising. The list is endless.
When Margaret Atwood wrote The Handmaids Tale she said that every thing in that book was happening somewhere in the world at that time. Certainly Romania was an inspiration (if you can call it that) It's quite frightening how little has changed in the intervening years. We think progress is being made and then boom, back to where we started.
Also re Bel Mooneys article, we have been indulging and validating children for far too long. We've also been institutionalising them at a young age. This whole movement to get parents out to work full time and dump kids into nursery at 1 year old is going to cause massive problems in the future. Parents aren't raising their children, poorly paid nursery employees are and then the parents indulge the kids because they barely see them Mon to Fri. All in the name of growing the economy.

How frustrating for every other community fighting for rights, persons with disabilities, those fighting for decent mental health care (that doesn't end up damaging them more than helping them), children with learning difficulties. I feel sorry for the parents of kids who are determined they're trans. If they've gone down that road so far and started to take hormones and so on then I suppose you're pretty obliged to support them. I see they're often the ones who call into phone ins or post supportive messages online. They seem to utterly believe their child is now of the opposite sex.
