This is grooming, I don't understand how this is seen as okay by anybody.
because the narrative is that anyone that stands against letting people like Flowjob into schools is a right wing bigot. It’s the same argument that has been used by Trudeau against the truckers, Sturgeon against GRR opponents and the Irish Government against people demonstrating against immigration. With the latter there has been a few right wing guys trying to latch on but they have been chased by ordinary demonstrators.

who would have thought 10 years ago if you where to complain about a guy drawing sexualised cartoons of babies appearing at a church hall or an adult artist whose social media shows his dildo collection reading stories to children in primary school that people complaining would be labelled extreme.

thankfully more people seem to be waking up.

@mallethead thank you, this is what I've been working on for the last 2yrs I will keep at it however in the hope she wakes up soon.

@DoraMaar thank you I've had a quick nosey at that site, it has so much info on it. What a fantastic site. I got onto stats for gender via it and wow. Just wow. Some of those stats are terrifying, I'm considering sending the link to the family group for us all to read, really interesting and worrying stats.

@obnoxiouspelican this was my thinking too, she has doubts about it all herself. I can't think of any other reason she doesn't want to speak to anyone or do anything about this issue she says is SO bad for her.

@Vanelope she is an amazing artist. She has spells where she'll paint for hours on end. Maybe I should push that more, I had suggested some local art groups to her last year but she never pushes herself out of her comfort zone. I may suggest we do it together, get her out of her own head and away from certain people but also maybe rebuild our relationship too. Thank you!!

@Satisfying Click I have spoken to a close set of friends about this issue, they actually offered to speak to her if we wanted. I might speak to them about speaking female to female about the teen years, maybe she would actually listen if it wasn't from mum again. The trouble is dropping it into conversation so it doesn't come across as a set up. I'll need to have a think on how to slide this one in. I'm also going to go and find that documentary, I am sure I've watched parts of it.

@AbnormalFrog we haven't changed name, yet. I'm sure it's coming at some stage however. Everything we say is falling on deaf ears here too, sometimes I question why I am even bothering. My girl wants binders, testosterone, surgery, you name it... when we ask anything about any of it she doesn't give any reasons for why she wants/feels this way, I am fed up of hearing meh and ewww. How many times can you tell a teenager to use their words?!

Thank you everyone who replied to my cry for help, I think I've replied to everyone. I've spent the last few years reading and researching, I am mentally exhausted with it all. Tattle has been my saviour since discovering this thread, I am doing the right thing. I just need to dig deep and trust myself. I quite obviously have more reading and watching to do on this mattter, knowledge is power and all that.

Just seen
Jesus Murphy, this has riled me. My beautiful, clever mum suffered from dementia. Every time she saw my husband she'd say "nice to meet you" when she had known him for years but I didn't resent her for it. She forgot who I was toward the end and yes, that hurt but I understood it was the disease and not my mother.
Instead of changing their exterior these people need to work on their insides.
Bless the grandfather, I hope he forgets what a selfish prick the grandchild is.

Saw this today. Comments basically saying sex work is work and acting like women who engage in SW do so freely and happily. Would love others thoughts

My thoughts on this are simple, and I’ve previously stated them in this thread and others. I spent 20 years in law enforcemen, dealing with hundreds of assaults, petty crimes, and much worse, committed by and against sex workers. The vast majority of those sex workers were hopeless addicts who had spent almost their entire lives being used and abused by men. And I will die on this hill.

I literally can not think of any group in society which was less empowered, more exploited, more at danger and less happy in their work. Even if you have the looks to sell nude photos on Only Fans for £100 per pop (if you are lucky) you will end up giving hand jobs for £5 in the back of a car. And that money will disappear on an endless round of boobjobs and poorly advised high value purchases, do ya think anyone making that money will be investing it in a high guarantee pension scheme?

And what the fookin hell is “ethical porn”, does it use rubber dildos from renewable sources and low carbon lubricant?

I still can’t get my head round why this is a ‘thing’ or how it’s become so prevalent. Love them or hate them, drag acts have always been adult entertainment with outfits and language to match and they’ve got even more x rated over the years. I’m not a prude by any means, but no child needs be exposed to this and I can’t even work out what the parents think their kids will gaining from this, apart from a sense of confusion and a lack of boundaries.
It's not prudish to see drag for what it is - gay men, caricaturing women, belittling and mocking us because in their original guise, it was how gay men could display their misogyny and superiority to women, because they are seen as lesser men by straight men (even today).

It has never been suitable for children IMO.

With 'how' this is become mainstream is via the captured TV execs (there is a video on YouTube about how they captured Hollywood) and the public education system. LGBT+ lobbying groups have completely captured the western education system. This has removed safeguarding, correct criminal and social checks on males who apply to work in schools and in turn this has lowered boundaries so badly, that last week girls were protesting and walking out of class in the UK because they are fed up with it. Head teachers are horrendously sexist and still pursuing mixed sex bathroom and changing room policies. We all know who they benefit.

Ok but is it really that mind blowing that gay people may choose to associate with other gay people? I just don’t understand why you seem so bothered by it that’s all
You are totally misconstruing the point I'm afraid, I hope you're not doing so deliberately. Nobody here is homophobic.

That original posters comment had more to do with the idea that children are being encouraged to be anything other than themselves/ordinary. This need to be "special" and to fit nicely into some box that is defined solely by your sexual orientation and your idea of gender. Your gender and your sexual preferences should not define you as a person.

Between April 2020 and March 2021, 177 women were murdered in England and Wales. 92% of women were killed by men.

60% of the women killed in England or Wales knew their suspected killer, compared to 44% of male victims. Around a third of suspects were a current or former partner.

In England and Wales, a total of 40,572 women were victims of sexual assault in the year ending September 2021.

The police recorded 895,782 offences related to domestic abuse in England and Wales in the year ending December 2021.

690,929 incidents of stalking and harassment were recorded by police over the same period. An estimated 4.6% of the adult female population in England and Wales were victims of stalking offences between April 2019 and March 2020.

Women may not be a "minority" but we are the victims.

IWD this year for me, felt like such a let down. Possibly because there were the usual man babies crying that ‘there’s no day for men’ (there is), I felt like there was no really strong political discussion around it. Probably because politicians are too afraid to talk about women because TIMs will also throw a tantrum. Let’s just keep pandering to the menfolk, shall we? 😡 The only stuff I really saw was all commercial and cynical, businesses trying to cash in on the day. I mean, I know that as a woman, I really like to celebrate IWD with some special doughnuts to really focus my attention on the causes close to my heart 🤮

It’s so Emo. When teenagers complain ‘it’s not the same it’s how I feel inside, you don’t understand’ they have no idea how strongly teenagers once felt about My Chemical Romance, body piercings and wearing leather overcoats on hot days. Yes tattoos are mostly permanent but they don’t increase cancer and osteoporosis risks and remove sexual function from adolescents. Even without cutting off healthy body parts.

Ovarian cancer has such appalling survival rates because the symptoms can be missed for other things and women are often dismissed with symptoms until it’s too late. Muddying the water by saying ‘most people’ who get it are women is just ludicrous.

Until prostate cancer UK and the like have to stop saying ‘men’ then you know it’s not about bloody inclusivity
One of my female relatives died of this last year. The symptoms were easily mistaken for digestive issues etc until it is too late. After the eventual diagnosis it was a case of going straight onto morphine and palliative care, bless her soul from diagnosis to death was 5 weeks. Such a whirlwind for her and the family to deal with. So when I see important messaging about cancer and illnesses which are directly related to biological sex, being muddled with woke terminology, I worry about the casualties. Perhaps my family member could have got a check up if she had seen clear messaging about getting regular checks, what symptoms to look out for. Instead, she put up with chronic discomfort thinking it was IBS etc. :(

I remember that previously an effort was made for medical letters, leaflets etc to be written in accordance with the Plain English campain, to avoid confusion. Now we chuck new words into messaging every 5 mins and confuse things.

Took my kids to spend their World Book Day vouchers yesterday.. nothing left except one called “Being an Ally” which clearly nobody was interested in. Had a flick through and I’m sure lots of it was perfectly decent but several mentions of ‘transgender’ all the way through so swiftly returned to join the rest in the pile. Instead my 9 year old used his for £1 off Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone 🥰 fact file about JK Rowling in the back 💞 he asked why she’s called that and thanks to the podcast I was able to explain to him the misogyny behind it and we had a thoughtful age appropriate discussion about it and all she does for Women.

Yes, technically you're being misgendered if "your pronouns" 🤮 are she/her and you get they/them.

Cis is supposedly the opposite of trans. It has nothing to do with sexual orientation (ie gay, straight, bi or pan) - it means you are normal, that you "identify as" the sex you were "assigned" at birth. Lots of people find it really rude to be called cis just in order to pander to trans.
Yeah TBH I would find being referred to as ‘cis’ annoying. I’m not a ciswoman, I’m a woman. I don’t need a different title just to keep the trans agenda on track.

(That’s not aimed at you @Sweetcouchpotato )

Why is it ridiculous? Presumably you wouldn’t mind if they were all straight? I have only recently found this thread and whilst I agree with some aspects this just seems a bit homophobic to me.
I have absolutely no problem with anyone being gay, but for all the friends to be something other than straight sounds like bandwagon jumping to me!
