I came across an article, where a mother of three boys makes some very valid points around instrusive comments about having all the same gender children but then goes onto say well children pick their gender anyway, it’s only “assigned at birth.” Having three boys as the author says is perfectly ok, why the need to mention the view that children pick their gender like it’s an assumption that all three will grow up & consider their gender??!!

There's a new German movie called "Oskars Kleid" (Oskar's dress). It's a comedy about a father needing (and coming) to accept that his 9-year-old son is trans because the son likes to wear dresses and make-up, and pees sitting down.
The therapist tells the father "I believe that your son is a girl".
Edit: Also the protagonist's family are Jewish. At some point they attend synagogue, and the Orthodox(?) rabbi is shown as being approving of the boy being trans. Neither the writer nor director of the movie are Jewish - one was raised Catholic, the other comes from a Muslim family. Somehow this feels very off.

Agreed, what a stupid comment to ruin an otherwise sensible article. How about no, most kids just get on with life and don’t even think about their gender. It’s not a pick n mix buffet. It’s literally your body but how you express yourself is up to you. Changing gender should not be an option we are ‘offering’ children. We should be challenging gender norms and telling little boys it’s ok to wear a dress but it does not mean they are a girl. I’ve said it before a few times in here but let’s widen what it means to be a boy and man! That doesn’t involve trying to actually ‘become’ a female.

I gave his CD's to the local charity shop, can't stand him now. (Makes no difference to him but felt good to me!)

Sam Smith is "non binary" because he's basically an unattractive gay man and the non binary label makes him interesting. Same as Jeffrey Marsh. In a world where many gay men are handsome, buff and well-groomed, they have no other way to stand out.

Foodbanks are a lifeline for many people and they don't discriminate - if someone is referred to them, they give them food. Most food banks are run by churches so no, not particularly woke. The NHS has many issues - the way whistleblowers are silenced, scandals like the baby heart surgeon in Bristol, and the fact that they are quite Stonewall-y etc etc., I'm not denying that - but to say "they are too woke to be of much use" is totally ridiculous.

I think what @JAR21 meant was that all those organisations have been captured by gender ideology. Nobody thinks that food banks or the NHS aren't worthy and necessary institutions but its been endlessly discussed on here how the NHS is now using words like chestfeeding instead of breastfeeding.
I knew what @JAR21 meant too. Certainly didn’t think she was scoffing at food banks. It’s what you have said here scotch, about certain aspects of the gender ideology being adopted by the likes of the nhs.

I gave blood just before Christmas, they don’t actively ask anybody, there is just a tick box that you tick if you could be pregnant, same form for everybody. I’m too old to be pregnant now but have no problem ticking no, all the men I know have no problem with this either, there is some rit about gender stuff but this is a story that’s been blown up ridiculously. It’s rubbish, they just use one form for everybody so some questions are irrelevant to everybody. If you’re not pregnant you just tick no. A lot of the people banging on about it haven’t been within a mile of a blood donation session

Oh, the blood donor form is hilariously intrusive, amongst other things, they ask if you are "a man who has sex with men?" They also ask if you've had sex with a new partner recently, and if so, did you have anal sex? I'm clearly leading a very boring life, my only "Yes" answer was to the question about drugs...and that was just to confess to having a Lemsip (or possibly two!) within the last month.
