I honestly can’t tell if the people making these decisions are really, really thick, or cowards scared of being branded as fascists.
I despair at the stupidity.

It’s all about the optics. Primark thought they were onto a winner, going mixed sex. Despite the backlash they care more about the woke points than protecting females, so they cannot and will not go back to strict single sex facilities.

He’s honestly an hole. I’m shocked he only got suspended by GMC for a month for harassing Caroline Farrow. He will get struck off eventually.
Interesting discussion on a FB group I am in, someone asking how “transracialism” (people who identify with a different ethnicity) differs from transgender and why we validate and treat the latter and not the former. So many people twisting themselves up in knots to not appear transphobic but encouragingly many others who are confused by it also!

She’s shocking and a total disgrace. There will no doubt be a scandalous Netflix documentary about her in the coming years. She needs to be locked up. I don’t think our Dr Skellig is her though because she did mention that she didn’t agree with trans women competing in women’s sports. If it was yeet the teets we’d have had the full TRA bs thrown at us.

6 of those inmates (it doesn't say if they transitioned before or after conviction) have current or previous convictions for sex offences.
Completely abusing the system and making a mockery of it.
Just like the Sussex police's favourite paedophile. As soon as he is in prison, make for the most childlike vulnerable woman in there to groom. I have no idea why people are so supportive of an ideology that is mostly about supplying victims for groomers. And as I said before, making eunuch an identity when they have eunochised all these poor children. I bleeping hate them. And the doctors who absolutely knew the outcomes of the surgery, knew it would render the kids sexless. A bleeping sea of victims for paedophiles. How anyone could not see this I do not know.
Just saw on Snapchat a story of a transwoman who was getting engaged to a man. Passed completely, had had everything done ten years ago, I really don’t think you’d ever know. I would have no issue with using ‘she’ pronouns with someone like this, most likely wouldn’t bat an eye if they were in the loo.
HOWEVER. They said: “I really identified with my girl friends growing up, I loved all the Disney princesses, little mermaid, I was such a stereotype. Then when I hit puberty something felt like it wasn’t aligning. I had therapy and worked with my parents and began transitioning 10 years ago.” So what I’m guessing is, you liked stereotypically ‘girly’ things as a boy. This is deemed as gay/weird/negative in society. You didn’t feel comfortable with those views that princesses and mermaids were ‘for girls’, therefore YOU must be a girl. Add in huge doses of testosterone and body changes, it’s bleeping awful for any kid going through puberty, not least for those who don’t strictly conform to our stupid rules about who can like what.
I’ve never seen a trans male say, “yeh I was your typical boy growing up, loved tractors and cars, loved football, loved fighting (I’m stereotyping here!) then decided to be trans at puberty for no reason’. This is the whole issue. Is it wrong to say you just don’t believe in trans as a thing? Like think of the most ridiculous and harmful stereotypes of different races, say you did all those as a young child and therefore at 13 you changed race to fit those? Equally absurd but one is great, one is racist?

Instead of pandering to these people, they should have been told "yes, that's exactly what puberty is, it's generally quite a crap time and we all go through it, but guess what? You'll come out the other side soon and it'll all be over".

Talk to a bunch of gay men about what they were like as kids, and you’ll hear so many of them say they loved playing with dolls and dressing up in princess dresses. It’s so common.
These highly gender non-conforming boys, will, in the main, grow up to be gay. Left to his own devices that trans woman would have been a gay man. Ditto Jazz Jennings. And Susie Green’s son.
I honestly think the problem these days are the parents who are not only so quick to affirm their kids but the way the kid is celebrated for showing their ‘true identity’. All the hoopla and praise and over the top celebrations must play a part in a kid’s motivation in claiming a trans or nb identity. Especially when playing out on on SM.
Someone on here commented recently that a friend of theirs announced they were trans and she didn’t make a big deal, just said that’s great, but how are you? How’s work? So essentially not jumping up and down and patting their back. It’s not so appealing I’d imagine if you don’t get the red carpet treatment. Just like ok you’re trans, what else is new? If the person gets annoyed it shows you what their motivations are.
I think if parents take this casual approach it might put the kids off and they’ll lose interest as they’re not getting the attention they’re after for the trans thing - but they are getting attention for just being a person and what they are doing in life. Taking the focus off gender. Instead of it being this massive thing that requires stupid amounts of praise.

this is why I do have an issue using “she” for any male.
the concept of “passing” is based on a male person meeting a standard of femininity after striving to achieve that standard. This is an active reinforcement of the idea that standards of femininity define how much of a woman someone is.
But a 50 year old wrinkly male trucker in lippy and a wig is just as female as a wealthy 22 year old male who can afford cosmetic surgery and is slim and wears expensive clothing - that is to say, not female at all.
the idea that such a man achieves an acceptable degree of womanhood to the extent that we should change language usage to include him as a woman, adds to a cultural context in which young women who don’t embrace femininity, end up considering themselves not to be female.
It’s also strategically unwise. If you use female pronouns for male people based on how they look, you’re opening ŷourself up to legitimate criticism that, as many males with a trans identity can’t afford to make the changes that allow them to “pass” you’re discriminating
