That’s the start of a true crime Netflix special.

Great minds lol.
how on earth is GC stuff on reddit taken down and this is allowed to be on twitter? Imagine a non trans man had posted this about a woman? Or a woman had poste something similar about a trans man? The police would be involved (rightly so as this is hugely worrying)

I see the usual backlash has started around Kellie Jay Keen having another successful and well-attended event. Usual accusations of being right wing, racist etc. I don’t know who to believe any more 🤷‍♀️

Stella O’Malley has talked about this, about how Ireland was ruled by religion and it’s now been replaced with gender identity ideology. The creepy and wholly incorrect (and offensive) TWAW mantra is a bit like sayings from the church. Brainwashed and scolded if you don’t ‘obey’. It’s effin nuts.
You’ve just reminded me that I need to listen to Helen Lewis’ series on wokeness being a new religion. It’s on BBC Sounds, for anyone else who might be interested. It came out about a month ago but I forgot about it!

I’ve felt for a few years now that there’s a religion-shaped hole in a lot of peoples consciousness. In many people it seems to have been filled by meaningless celebrity worship, reality obsession and social media campaigns about sick babies with angelic faces. People on the modern left though, who probably think they are too clever for such stuff, seem to have filled the hole with this gender cult rubbish with its talk of gendered souls being born in the wrong body. It’s so bizarre.
I miss the days when being left wing was about socialism and equality and the rights of working class people.

I just can't fathom how Labour have decided to throw themselves in with the TWAW brigade. How to alienate half your voters. Penny Mordaunt can get in the bin (and, I note how her brother got done for trying to entice a child into sexual communication last week).

I would love it if just one interviewer would ask someone like Eddie Izzard if he was in Iran or Afghanistan would he still identify as a woman? I hate him so much

I've thought the exact thing! Not that I'm religious, but I do think we as humans almost 'need' religion, or just something to follow/believe in, I think we've almost evolved that way after centuries. I think it's why we as people are so inclined to join cults, gangs, even MLM schemes, as it's something to believe in and follow. I do think in the same way people believe and follow these TRA or LGBTQIA+ movements.

I do too. Didn’t used to. He literally stood on stage and said he was a bloke in a dress. Said that for years. I admired him for being honest and being able to wear make up etc but still be a man. Now with his I’m a girl rit I just can’t even look at him. He’s a 60 year old BLOKE ffs.

Imagine if your dad just suddenly said he was a woman? How ridiculous does it seem? It’s like women live a life of physical pain, discrimination, misogyny….but at any moment a fully grown man can proclaim he’s EXACTLY the same as you. No, just no!!!

Got a screw loose, that one ......

Looks like bleeping max wall, as well 😒😐
Even the non-homicidal ones are really weird about this. Some people will remember the infamous "sea cucumber" comic ( ) the artist had another one where he writes about how he will only date white men because they tend to be taller than him, and since he is East Asian it's important for him to feel dainty and petite next to a man so he can fit cultural feminine beauty standards. But you certainly benefited from being raised as a boy in that culture, didn't you?

That’s a reality for a lot of children, young people and adults now though, isn’t it? I can’t even imagine how thoroughly heartbreaking, upsetting and disoriented people much feel when their dad announces he’s a woman. Not only does their whole relationship get reinterpreted as though it was a lie, but there’s guaranteed to be a whole lot of mockery and pisstaking, even if it is behind their backs.
I’ve also always felt there’s something a bit creepy when these blokes do it, they always seem to gravitate towards very pornified and fetishised attire and seem to have no qualms about dressing like that publicly and in front of their children. No one wants to see their dad like that and I think it’s disturbing to expose family members to these ‘kinks’.

I totally get that over time we have become a far more accepting society and that is 100% right in terms of homosexuality etc.

But I don't know why society is no longer calling these men out as the deviants that they are. Its a bleeping fetish and we are expected to accommodate them.

Society should be accepting as the norm - but those are harmless things, and right & proper.....

This isn't harmless. It impacts women's privacy, and sexualises where there's young children. It's done by enablers who want to upset/disrupt/sexualise

That's what I mean. Sorry if I didn't articulate myself properly.

It's 100% right that society is more accepting of homosexuality than it was, and long may it continue to improve.

I know most people here are from/ live in the UK and UK Christianity is, mostly, such a different beast to american Christianity, so I don't know if this is a trend in the UK in the same way. But in the US, it is really noticeable how many trans identified people i know of/ know who grew up in strict religious communities. Daniel Ortberg is the most well-known I can think of, as most of the others I know are distant family/ coworkers, but there does seem to be a real pattern of growing up with religiously ordained sexual and gender roles/ finding out you're bi/ gay or autistic or both / becoming trans. It's really scary because it is 100% accepting one orthodoxy unquestioningly for another when it probably won't help in the longterm
