Good to see the comments on the bleeders thing are pretty much entirely condemning it.
It does look good for Maya from what I’ve read. BC has brought up some great points. I have everything crossed for her.
Funny how people are picking up on this from this ad, but every period underwear company out there are already using this dehumanising language and have been for a while. Sure there are other places where this bonkers avoidance of the word woman is prevalent. But like I said the other week, Gillette is still the best a man can get.

I heard an ad on the radio about checking for prostate cancer which went along the lines of ‘Are you a MAN? If so, check your MAN parts like Stephen Fry did, because he is also a MAN’

I’ve been trying to follow parts of Maya’s tribunal but it’s basically a full time job! Her QC is tit hot though. Absolutely brilliant questioning.
Of course we don’t fool about with language for men (pun intended). We do it with women because we are KIND and ACCOMMODATING. And are used to pandering to men and letting them tell us what to do.
Dehumanising is the only word I can think of too. How disgusting. They couldn't even bring themselves to use "people who have periods" because some jumped up they/them blue haired nightmare would get offended at the word "period", no doubt about it.
I seriously don’t trust police to ever take women and girls seriously. So many horrific stories, this has hardly got any traction:

I've just been reading the full report. They made her remove her sanitary towel, bend over and spread her buttocks, with just the two policewomen in the room with her, no other appropriate adult, and her parents were not informed. That poor, poor girl.
I haven’t read the report as I know I would find it too much - how humiliating for the poor girl! What were they expecting to find? What is wrong with the bleeping police?

To give credit to yoppie, I can see from their other posts that they do mention women quite a lot. Other period underwear companies are much worse but I haven’t seen backlash. Apart from the dm’s from me that is

She's pretty much going by the "there's no such thing as bad publicity" adage.
Possibly. Lots of other companies have been saying bleeders for ages and there hasn’t been this kind of reaction. I hope it does start a discussion though, and companies actually listen to women and grow a backbone.
Literally just seen an IG post using the words “ international womens day” and “people who menstruate” in the same sentence.

What company was it? I messaged Ohne ages ago about all the crazy words they use instead of women. No response. I’m considering emailing the Scottish government about the period shame tv advert. It’s so good until the very end with its 61% of young people experience period shame. Say GIRLS ffsIt does….that’s women like Willoughby with his cervix!
