I think there is a spidey sense with a TIM. I can just tell straight away even if they are quite feminine. I can even tell from the tiny grid profile pictures of the explore page on Instagram! Click on their page and I am never wrong.

There is a trans women on my social media, it’s a friend of a friend’s relative (keeping it vague here on purpose). I had a look on their profile and can see they only started transitioning a couple of years ago, when they were a (I’m sorry, there’s no kind way to say this), a terribly weird young man. Started off dying his hair blue, which seemed to attract a lot of ‘you look great’ comments from his friends…he did not though). Then quite quickly he starts posting some horrible and derogatory posts about cis women. Next thing it’s a picture of all the hormones he’s going to take to turn him into a girl (his words). Then the awful, heavily filtered pictures over the next year or so, never seen an uglier man or woman honest to god. Hate commenting on looks but no two ways about it.

This person is now going out with a girl who is on the spectrum (high functioning but still vulnerable). Now she’s come out as non binary but also a les 🥴 this girl I know from the person that I know, was talked in to the nb thing by this trans woman and I find it all so strange. There seems to be a lot of hatred of women (posting things like ‘this estrogen takes so great and makes me better looking than you cis hags haha). Just a vile person. They are a heterosexual man who hates women yet wants to be one (a better one) and convinced their girlfriend that she’s not a girl, she’s non binary. It is truly bizarre but the whole thing fuelled by raging misogyny.

No point to this story, just felt I needed to share the madness!!

There does seem to be some mad contagion involved sometimes.

There is a couple that was friends with my partner and to be honest there where as dull as dishwater. They also had a child who was a few years younger than my two boys who I would have said was on the spectrum. Fast forward a number of years the husband blurted out to his wife that he once had sex with a guy about 10 years ago whilst at uni so he might be bi sexual. To me lots of people experiment whilst at uni but that's part of normal life. He now goes by a initial and is sporting a rather long hairstyle with the odd big of makeup now. She also questioned her sexuality and now rails against the evils of JK Rowling at events despite being a huge harry potter fan. I then got kind of annoyed when partner told me the child now had a different name now also.

I know a few younger TIMs who transitioned in their early 20s which was slightly different because they were quite "feminine" to begin with, whatever being feminine means anyway. If a TIM transitions later on in life (40+) then they'll never pass. Sorry 'bout it. No amount of surgery, fillers, makeup etc will help. I always cackle when I see handmaidens out in force complimenting them and how "stunning" they look. Funny how handmaidens will fall over themselves to compliment a TIM but when it comes to an actual woman, they'd be the first to start attacking her appearance

In case anyone has missed it today, JK Rowling has been magnificent on Twitter. Handed Laurie Penny’s a to her and it was bloody joyous.

Ok, just need to point out something I’ve just seen and it’s made me raging.

Adverts are on. The new Always advert comes on, featuring young girls talking aboutperiod shaming. The ad says ‘61% of YOUNG PEOPLE experience period shame’. YOUNG PEOPLE. Not girls. No. YOUNG PEOPLE.

Next advert on directly after it for Gillette men’s razors. Slogan? The best a MAN can get.

Tell me AGAIN that women are not being erased. It’s so insidious, but won’t be too long before it’ll be illegal to say women and girls 😣

Thanks for sharing it though. I think there are a couple of good points to be made from it. One is it’s something I have seen a lot on social media especially too: there’s definitely a trend of misogynistic men, who self-identify as women or are transitioning and post all sorts of unnecessary and insulting things about women. It is weird.
I think this “cis” label gets used in a derogatory way from what I’ve seen elsewhere. Personally I don’t like the label and as much as I’m not a fan of Piers Morgan, I think one of the best things he did was when he barked back at that Benjamin Butterworth idiot, “I’m not a cis anything” a few years ago.

Equally it sounds as though this individual has imposed their views/hang-ups on someone who sounds very impressionable. Hopefully she - the girlfriend - will get out of that relationship ASAP because the trans woman sounds like someone who deserves to be permanently single with the tripe they post.

Random stuff on my timeline - a 23 year old writer for SNL has challenged Baroness Emma Nichol to a debate on zoom about why JK Rowling is equivalent to the Nazis - he tweeted that a Harry Potter tattoo was like a swastika, in a joke he stole, and goes off on Twitter like that as infinitum. She has accepted, will call in from the House of Lords and make it a public debate. I fervently hope he will get his a handed to him in public.

I guess because instinctively they know they are men and hold the power. That and having to be nice to men because of consequences. It’s really ducked up.

And the fact that these machines assume people carry change which these days lots of people don't.

These machines are also often broken and or out of order, or only stock one type of product (tampon or pad) so again, there is lots of potential to develop a proper vending machine for womens products. I doubt anyone would ever do that though 😅
Yes! I've yet to see one that takes card. They could have tampons, pads, period pants, moon cups... There are so many options now but we're stuck with a single, extortionately-priced tampon if we can even prise it out of the (usually rusty) machine.

Laurie is a classic example of a privileged (privately educated, went to Oxford) white "cis" woman, and in today's bastardisation of intersectional feminism, that puts her at the top of the hierarchy of oppressors (below men of her social class of course, but still a peddler of the much-maligned white feminism).

In a culture where the perceived most "oppressed" people are given the most legitimacy (irrespective of their actual experience), how can she escape accusations of "talking over more marginalised voices"? Declare herself "non-binary" of course! It's so bleeping blatant it's embarassing.

She's now saying that poor reviews of her latest book are some sort of co-ordinated attack on her. I've read a few reviews, all by women, mostly by feminists, who simply point out that her book isn't very well researched and lacks logical consistency. But of course because she's "non-binary" she's somehow being victimised. Or Laurie, maybe your book is just tit?

I’m listening to this terrible womens day presentation by a man about parental leave and I’m writing an email for feedback on how problematic it is and how offensive I’m finding it. He’s A cis employment lawyer talking about all the genders and admitting he didn’t understand gender bias until he took a year off from work and suddenly felt excluded from womens spaces and women feeling uncomfortable about talking while he was there made him feel bad.
I’m really upset about how he is spreading this nonsense to the whole firm.

Sounds like a fool. Imagine trying to centre himself and his hurt male ego looking for sympathy from colleagues. Truly pathetic. Get him told!!

Check out this adidas ad where it mentions ‘competing as a trans woman’. In their own category or with men yes but not with the women. My head nearly exploded when I first heard that line, world is actually going mad. Also what about trans men? Why does nobody seem to care about them?

This might sound weird but I’m fully basking in IWD today. Us women get ONE day to celebrate womanhood whilst the trans lot get about a million days a year. They can duck off if they think I’m going to include them in this day. Also why are non binary’s always lumped in with women?

Don’t know if already posted but came across this video today and thought it was quite revealing

^^ I should add that’s the same guy who recorded a video where he phoned up and confronted his “gender affirming” therapist who he was given (trans related) therapy from throughout childhood

Well it’s only 10am on IWD and already I’ve read a post praising what I can only describe as a fully fledged man for the stunning and brave woman that he is. Standing with 3 other actual women but he is the only one who gets a mention. It’s just a restaurant I follow, not a big company or anything but still, so annoying. Have unfollowed. I don’t want to hear about trans women today. No thank you.
